Bear POV

I wake up dazed and confused. It's dark in whatever room this is, and I can't exactly tell if I'm in Recovery Girl's office or what.

I turn to the side and see Deku. The window is open, and the moonlight is shining off his face and illuminating his messy green hair. His arms are covered in bandages and he's in a hospital gown. I look down, only to realize that I'm in one too.

I reach over to touch his cheek and he groans. His eyes flutter open and he sees my hand near his face. I retract it quickly, stuffing it under the covers. He smirks and chuckles.

"You know I saw that, right?" he says lowly. I nod and push my face into the pillow. He laughs again, reaching for the back of my head. He strokes my hair. Butterflies crowd my stomach and flutter up to my throat, choking me. "You gotta stop making me fall for you harder than I already am." he whispers. My head shoots up. 

"Say that again." I demand, hoping he doesn't notice the tremor in my voice. He shakes his head.

"Nope," he says while sighing. "Not unless you admit you like me too." I freeze.

What. Did. This. Man. Just. Say.

"Um..." I say, tucking my hair behind my ear. I look into his eyes and realize he's serious. I reach my hand over to his face and cup it. I lean in and he pulls me forward by my collar, bringing his lips to mine. He's gentle and kind, but the muscles in his arms give him away. He's trying to contain himself. His lips are soft, and I wonder if mine are too.

I melt into his touch, feeling myself get less tense. He smirks into the kiss and breaks it. He pushes me back onto my bed in the infirmary and gets up. I'm laying down with my elbows propping me up, and he's towering over me. He unties his hospital gown and slips it off, letting the moonlight gleam along his bare, smooth skin. He turns around to put the gown on the bed, giving me a view of his scarred, toned back. I gulp and stare probably longer than I should have. He turns around, smirks, and leans down. He cups my face, letting his knees fall beside my hips. He kisses me again, this time with more passion. Our mouths open and close in unison, tongues beginning to clash in ways we never thought could be possible. 

He touches my hair, stroking it as we kiss. Deku lifts my neck to untie the gown, leaving me in only my unfortunately skimpy underwear. He snaps the bra strap against my skin, smirking into the kiss when he hears my breath waver. He pulls away from the kiss, making his way down my neck. I play with his hair and tug it softly, earning a moan from him. I wish I could hear that sound on repeat. His lips leave my neck and make my way to my ear. 

"I've been waiting to do this since the day I realized I liked you," he whispers. He runs both of his hands down my body, feeling every curve. 

"Fuck, you're perfect." He mumbles. I blush and cover my face, which makes him smile. A real, genuine smile. 

My waist trembles at his touch as he runs his hands down my body. They eventually make their way up to my face, cupping it from both sides. He brings his face to mine, kissing me again. I notice he's softer this time, tender almost. 

"I know I seem like I don't feel much of anything, but I feel for you. Every part of me aches when I think about you, the best kind. Sometimes..." He stops to chuckle. "Sometimes it's as if my world begins to wilt without you. Your laughter is the sun of my universe, and your smile is the rain. You keep the petals of my life vibrant and the color everlasting. Even though I am trained to destroy humanity, there is one thing I vow never to hurt."

I stare deep into his eyes. They're like emeralds. "And what might that be?" I gulp. His eyes soften and he leans closer. A cold hand touches my chest, right above the heart. I feel myself tremble.

"You, Himari. I vow never to hurt you."
