No one's POV:

*BEEP* BEEP*

"UGH!!! Keep it down, my head is killing me," Kehlani whined, placing a pillow over her head as the obnoxiously loud alarm kept going off. "Bruh shut the fuck up!" Lori groggily yelled from her place on the floor while accidentally kicking something or rather someone on the floor beside her. "Ow!!! What the-," Simone growled standing up and glaring at a half-sleeping Lori. With a roll of her eyes, she marched over to the alarm clock, quickly slamming the disable button. Just when all was silent, sudden realization struck. "WE HAVE SCHOOL TODAY!!" The girls yelled in unison jumping up from their comfortable blankets, all rushing to get dressed, well everyone except Asia, who was still peacefully sleeping in the recliner.

Kehlani's POV:

As everyone ran around frantically trying to get dressed, I happened to see Asia still sleeping and got a sinister idea. I rushed to the kitchen grabbing two pots as I made my way back to Asia. Simone gave me a weird look before her eyes went wide. "NO! Kehlani don't-" *CLANG CLANG CLANG* Before she could finish her sentence I had already swung the pots together resulting in Asia losing her shit. "KEHLANI IMMA BEAT YO-," Laughing and not letting Asia finish her sentence, I rushed to the bathroom like everyone else and started getting dressed. After about 45 minutes I was finally done. I quickly glanced at myself in the mirror with a smile. "I look good," I thought to myself while making my way out of the bathroom.

Simone's POV:

"Guys!! C'mon, we're gonna be late," I yelled upstairs while grabbing my backpack. As usual, I was the first one ready and waiting on the others. I peered at my phone again and saw that we had exactly two minutes before we had to leave if we were gonna make it to school on time. "Guys we have-," I started but stopped when I saw the girls running downstairs. I had to admit....... WE ALL LOOKED GOOD!

"Who's driving?" Asia asked while picking up her bag. "ME!!" Lori and Kehlani said in unison. "Ooo I call riding with Lori," Asia said happily as she wrapped her arm around Lori's shoulders. "That's a horrible idea," I said while following Kehlani outside. Out of all of us, Lori and Asia were the troublemakers, especially when they were together. "Aww, c'mon Simone, we won't get into too much trouble. Besides, we're all going to the same place," Lori said while flashing me an innocent smile. "Mhmm..."

Lori's POV:

"Mhmm.." Simone hummed getting into the passenger seat of Kehlani's car. "You guys better show up on time," Kehlani said, starting her car while shooting a playful glance towards Asia and me. "Oh we will," Asia said, giving me a knowing look. Seconds after Kehlani and Simone drove off I hopped into my car with a wide grin. "TO STARBUCKS" I yelled, causing Asia to laugh at my outburst. "Let's go then," Asia agreed as I pulled out of our driveway.

Halfway through our drive, I told Asia to plug in the Aux cord. And being the Musical Theatre brats that we are, she decided to play Defying Gravity and my eyes went wide as we both started dramatically singing.

By the time we made it to Starbucks we were giggling and playfully singing notes way off-key like a couple of children. We quickly went into Starbucks to order our drinks and to our surprise, there was no line. When we got to the counter we were greeted by a nice older lady who gave us a cute smile. "Hi what can I get you, ladies," she asked as I gestured towards Asia to order first. "Can I have an Iced Hazelnut Macchiato please?" she said as the lady wrote her order down. "And you?" the lady said now looking at me. "Um, I'll take a Java Chip Frappuccino," I said with a smile. "Coming right up," she said as she turned to start making our drinks. While Asia and I waited, we heard the jingle of the doorbell signaling that someone was coming in. I didn't care too much about it until I turned around to see two fine-ass lizards walk through the door. I quickly turned to face the counter again and started frantically poking Asia's arm.

"Lori what are-" Asia started but was soon interrupted by a smooth deep voice. "Excuse us ladies'' the voice said as Asia and I both slowly turned around. Before I could fully react, my eyes accidentally locked with a pair of piercing, cute golden ones. We stood there for a minute just staring at each other, I couldn't move.

Asia's POV:

"Excuse us ladies," a voice says from behind Lori and I that caused us to slowly spin around. Standing there were two lizards. Correction, two fine-ass lizards.

"Oh sorry," I said, moving aside to let them through to the counter. I looked over to Lori and noticed that she was frozen in place, locking eyes with one of them. I call her name but she doesn't answer. I look at the other lizard who is now looking at me with just as much confusion. "Uh Anthony, you ok bro?" the unnamed lizard asked his friend while slightly poking him. With a jolt of realization, he snapped out of his trance and so did Lori. The lizard, now known as Anthony, scratched the back of his neck with a nervous smile. "Sorry about that," he said as Lori quickly made her way over to me without saying a word in response. "What the hell was that" I whisper yelled at her as she tried to process what had just happened. "I have no fucking idea," she said nervously fidgeting with her hands.

"Order number 32! Lori and Asia!" the lady from earlier yelled from the counter setting our drinks on display for us to grab. We both said our thank you's and rushed out the door. As soon as we got into Lori's car I started laughing uncontrollably. "Not. A. Single. Word," she spoke through gritted teeth as she pulled out of the driveway. Our ride to school was mostly silent except for my constant snickering as I kept replaying the scene from earlier in my head. "Well, we're here," Lori said as she parked her car. "South Ridge High'' I said in slight astonishment as I stepped out of the car. The school was huge and overall looked like a pretty rich school. In the midst of my awe, the bell went off signaling the beginning of 1st period. "SHIT!" Lori and I yelled in unison as we ran inside the building. The hallways were damn near empty which caused us to run even faster. Our first period was a class called Glee club, which thankfully was on the 1st floor.

Thankfully when we made it to our class the door was still open and our teacher wasn't present yet. When we ran in I immediately felt that all eyes were on us but I could care less. I looked around and saw Simone basically glaring at us. "Don't look at us like that, we made it didn't we?" I whined playfully as Simone scoffed. "Technically the bell rang before you made it through the door," a voice said causing me and Lori to immediately look in the direction it came from. In the back corner of the classroom, a turtle with an amusing smirk looked right back at us.

Before I could say anything Lori had already started to reply to him in an annoyed tone. "I'm sorry but who the fu- AHH!"

Lori's POV:

Before I could finish my response towards the snarky turtle in the corner, a sharp pain hit my side causing me to fall backward with a yelp. I winced in pain as my back slammed into the ground with a loud thud. I could also feel the pressure of something or someone laying on top of me. I opened my eyes and was met with the same pair of golden eyes from earlier. "We've gotta stop meeting like this, " the lizard said with a slight chuckle that made me smile. "Ya think," I said breathlessly as I got lost in his eyes again.

"Ahem!" someone said causing me to snap back into reality. "Anthony I knew you were a ladies' man but please save that for after class," the voice said again causing me and Anthony to scurry to our feet. "Sorry Mrs. Wilson, I bumped into her" Anthony said scratching the back of his neck while looking towards the teacher. "You must be the new girl," Mrs. Wilson, the teacher, said looking at me with a raised eyebrow, "I thought there were four of you." "We're right here," Kehlani said standing up with Asia and Simone following her lead. "Interesting" Mrs. Wilson said before walking to her desk. "Girls would you mind coming up to introduce yourselves," she said while taking her seat and looking between the four of us.

My eyes went wide but I didn't say a word as the girls walked towards the front of the classroom where I was standing. We all stood in silence, each not really wanting to go first. "Uh well, I guess I'll start," Kehlani said finally breaking the silence. "I'm Kehlani," she said with a wave and a smile. "I'm Simone," Simone said nonchalantly with her hands in her pockets. "I'm Asia," Asia said with a wink to no one in particular. "And I'm Lori," I said with a small smile. The room went silent again so I thought we could sit down, keyword thought. "Before you sit down, I would like to hear a demonstration" Mrs. Wilson spoke causing me to raise an eyebrow. "A demonstration?" Simone questioned as we all looked at the teacher in confusion. "Yes. I would like to hear your voices individually so I know where to place you for assignments and projects. Ms. Lori, you seem to have shown a lot of confidence with Anthony earlier so I think you would be perfect for going first" Mrs. Wilson said smugly causing some of the students to laugh as I rolled my eyes slightly.

"Haha, very funny," I said while sitting on a nearby desk. "Any request," I said looking at my new fellow classmates who didn't say a word. "Oh now yall wanna be silent," I said while clapping my hands together with a small smirk. "When I Look At You by Miley Cyrus" the fine-ass lizard, Anthony, said while looking at me with a smirk that matched mines. I hummed in response as I searched for the music on my phone. "I hope yall know that your only getting a minute's worth of this song," I said before I started the music.

When I finished my little segment the room went silent and everyone was staring at me like I was crazy. "Are yall- "I started to say before I was interrupted by applause and a few whistles. "That was beautiful Lori. Now you may take your seat" Mrs. Wilson said as I jumped up to find a seat. "Don't have to tell me twice" I said while walking around the classroom to find a seat. In the process of finding a seat, I passed up Anthony who gently grabbed my arm and motioned for me to sit at a desk near him. I didn't protest and immediately sat down. "Nice job up there," Anthony said with a smile. "Thanks!"

Kehlani's POV: 

Once Lori took her seat everyone fell silent again. "I guess I'm next" I blurt out since Asia and Simone clearly didn't want to go. "Actually Ms. Kehlani, you ladies are welcome to sit down now," Mrs. Wilson said causing me to look at her in utter confusion. "But didn't Lori just-" I started but was soon interrupted. "I didn't really need a demonstration. You all had to submit one as part of your application which I've already listened to. And I have to say, you ladies are very impressive" Mrs. Wilson said with a smile as Amber, Asia, and I made our way to our seats. "Hold on! Why did I have to demonstrate" Lori exclaimed while doing air quotes which made me giggle. "I always make the ambitious ones go the extra mile" Mrs. Wilson stated while mocking Lori's tone and air quotes.

"Anyways, before we start class I would like to introduce you to the Hamato's. You girls will be working with them a lot this year" Mrs. Wilson said, while still sitting comfortably behind her desk. "The who now," I said with a raised eyebrow. Who the hell are the Hamato's? "That would be us" a turtle in a plaid blue button-up shirt said as he stood up followed by seven other turtles and two lizards. Before any of them had a chance to say their name, a lightbulb went off and I squealed. "Wait. Wait. Wait! You mean Hamato as in Hamato Records" I said excitedly as my eyes widened. "Yup that's us Dudette" another turtle in a.... Ice Cream Kitty shirt?... said.

"Damn. You guys the mafia?" Asia blurted out as Simone smacked the back of her head. "Shut it" she growled as Asia whined while rubbing her head. "Heh, yeah. We're a really big family" the turtle in blue spoke again as he gestured to the large group.

"Let's get into introductions shall we?"
