After Zhu Cang went back to his tent, he sat at the table and read. He didn't know how long he had been reading until a loud boom was heard. As soon as he lifted the curtain to his tent, he saw the small figure in purple robe flying across the sparring field and landed hard into the ground. Startled, Zhu Cang rushed to the field where Susu had landed.

Commander Zhu chuckled, seeing Susu did not cry or show any emotion as she stood up with shaky legs. Such a small little girl and yet her heart was stronger than any soldier.

"That's enough!" Zhu Cang grabbed Susu's hand before she could use her purple thread to attack.

Everyone in the field was startled to see Zhu Cang focus on Susu.

"You fool" Zhu Cang smacked Susu's head and scolded her. "Know your limits"

Susu was too stunned to react when the boy hit her head. No one had ever scolded or hit her like Zhu Cang did.

"And you old man" Zhu Cang stood and glared at his grandfather. "Stop playing around"

The old man shrugged innocently before he turned to leave.

"Disperse immediately" The twelve year old boy commanded like he was the Commander himself.

Every soldier quickly left. Confused, Susu faced the angry Zhu Cang. When he crouched down before her, Susu felt nervous at the sudden closeness. Before she could move away, he grabbed the back of her head and covered her lips with his hand. Her eyes widened when she felt a pill enter her mouth. After she swallowed, Zhu Cang let her go and stood.

"Zhu gongzi" Susu called out as Zhu Cang was leaving.

He stopped but his back was still facing her.

"Thank you..."

He didn't say anything and continued to walk off. Alone in the middle of the field, Susu watched Zhu Cang left with a small smile on her face.
