[41] Three Days
You'd think by now (Y/n) has lost their dignity, but nothing was as extreme as being trapped in a room with absolutely nothing. Thoma treated them like a caged animal, and didn't even give (Y/n) or their cat food.
The room already stank when the forsaken Kamisato's lover first entered the damned place to save their cat on the account of Stocking's urine and bowel movements being let out in a cage and coating her fur. What more for a human to be stripped of hygiene and toilet rights. One can laugh at a memory of their five year old self wetting their pants in class but nothing of the like when you hit adolescence is laughable. Even more so when you're an adult.
Thoma later considered (Y/n)'s human needs as they began to cry out saying they needed to use the toilet or they'd piss on his door which was seriously an option to them at that point because if their bladder emptied against their strongest will not to, might as well on his door.
He ended up giving them a large bucket for their toilet needs, and threatened he wouldn't let the cat leave alive if they tried to escape. (Y/n) did not trust their athletic abilities and strength to fight Thoma and chose to obey.
Three days later and (Y/n) is still in the room with their cat. The two felt so hungry it was physically painful, and (Y/n) had no idea if Thoma intended to let them starve to death; neither did they have any idea how long it's been.
If not for their cat they'd feel lifeless. The erratic thoughts and stress had them scratching at their skin in different areas till it turned red. The positive thoughts and negative felt like they were being put on a scale. The burning feeling of revenge that made them feel like they'd definitely take down Thoma was slowly fading away.
Someone will come for them eventually, it'll be fine.

"Venti answer your fricking phone!" Kokomi almost slams it to the ground, impatiently waiting for her bestfriend to take the call that's been ringing the past five minutes.
That day they received a call from (Y/n)'s mom about them missing, and she was in tears. She didn't ask anyone sooner because truthfully feared something happened to her child and for two days hoped they'd come home safe. Ayato hasn't shown up since the lovers quarrel and she was at a loss.
"Yesss?" Venti finally answered, followed by Kokomi screaming into the mic.
"You took so loooong! If you're drinking right now I'll come over there as soon as possible and smash all those bottles on your head!"
"Woah woah since when was Kokomi this aggressive? What's wrong?" He continued cheerfully.
"(Y/n)'s mom called and said (Y/n) has been missing for three days!"
A long silence came from the drunkard's end. "Do you need me to be with you right now?"
"Yeah. I'm in front of the Kamisato estate waiting for someone to let me in and see Ayato."
"I'll be there as soon as I can." Venti hangs.
Kokomi stares at the estate still waiting. It's been twenty minutes since she got there and it was as if no one is home. But he had to be home, she just knew he is.
"If no one lets me in I'll be letting myself in! I'll come back with a crowbar and break this gate down!"
"Enter." An irritated voice replies from the mic close by and the gates open automatically. Kokomi proceeds inside and standing outside the main door she stops, expecting to see Ayato come out and open it himself.
"You do realize by acting like that you're not making this situation any better right? Your lover has gone missing and we're wasting time!"
"I know they've gone missing." Ayato says from his side, still not opening the door. "I know where they are."
"Then what the heck are you doing!?"
"I'm going to fix this myself. Do not intervene, I'm sure (Y/n) wishes none of their friends, or family members get involved with this situation."
"Listen big man. Considering everything that's happened, I'm having a hard time trusting you. But I don't want to make things worse for my bestfriend and I want them back safe as soon as possible. If something happens to them you best live with the weight of the guilt. And you'll never have my forgiveness." She turns away and leaves, messaging Venti not to come to the Kamisato residences as it's "pointless."
Once Kokomi has left, the voice recording Thoma had sent Ayato when he trapped (y/n) replayed in his head. The man crushed his fairly new phone the first time he heard it and had no other device to receive calls and messages.
His house was filled with shattered ceramics and cracked walls. The man has been taking his rage out on everything his eyes landed on the past three days, and at this point there was no point in waiting out his fury and playing the safe game.
He wanted to cut ties with his ex peacefully but if this is the game he wants to play, Ayato will crash it.
Ayato was well aware Yelan had gathered proof against Thoma murdering Albedo and that Thoma was but an accomplice to the plan entirely. If he waits any longer not only will (y/n) suffer more, but Thoma and possibly Ayato himself will be arrested.
It wasn't that he didn't cover up his tracks well enough, but Yelan is too good of a detective.
Approaching the later evening, Ayato decided to take some things and head to Thoma's apartment.
