[18] The Wrong Drunkard
It is not easy for any friend to just watch their friend slowly give everything up for a relationship. Or so that's how (Y/n) felt about Ayaka neglecting her responsibilities to be with Thomasus. Wanting to have a heart to heart talk with her if her brother wouldn't be the one to do it, they decide to leave the school with their boyfriend in hopes of seeing her.
With subtle caution Ayato opens the gates to the Kamisato residence. They weren't locked which meant either Ayaka was there or left the place to be a thieves luckiest day of their life. The two give each other a hesitant look, and deep inside Ayato had been loathing the idea that he has to scold his sister, again.
"Helloo...? We're home." (Y/n) says after their boyfriend opens the door of the main entrance. They look around carefully as if afraid to see what they saw last time, Thoma and Ayato making out but instead of Ayato it's Ayaka. But to their relief Thoma didn't seem to be around.
"How endearing of you to already be calling my place home." Ayato remarks.
They spare him a sarcastic grin before taking another look around the house.
"Welcmmeee, homee..." They hear the slurred speech from across the room. There were a few emptied bottles of soju on the round table by the sofa where Ayaka was laying down trying to pull herself together.
"Oh my god Ayaka please tell me you didn't drink all of that by yourself?" (Y/n) stood with their mouth left a little open in shock. Ayato was adjusting the collar of his shirt.
"Did not..."
"Was Thoma here a while ago?" He asks his sister.
"Was... Ah he lewft me drunk again."
"Again?"
Ayaka struggles to sit up straight, and once she does her head falls to the side, supported by her shoulder. "Please don't be angry."
"To think she'd pull a Venti." (Y/n) mumbles, then takes a step back. It felt like another sibling quarrel was about to take place but Ayato silently walks away to his room.
"Ayato...?"
"Going to take a nap. If you feel hungry, order whatever you want and I'll pay for it."
They sigh.
"Oh and if you order boba, get one for me too." He follows up just before the sound of his door shunning on them could be heard.
It made them feel a bit perturbed to see him react that way but they shrug it off and walk up to Ayaka's side, sitting down beside her.
"You doing okay?"
"I feel like a mess."
"Well, you are one. What made you think of skipping classes so much recently?"
"Thoma... Mmm he tells me no need to work. He will do everything. Nnn take care of me."
"I'm not even going to bring In the fact that I dislike Thoma into this. But you can't just depend on someone to do everything for you. Especially if it's Thoma."
"Can I ask you sumthin' then?" Ayaka raises her brow as if upset (y/n) expressed their disfavor of him.
"What."
"Why do you dislike Thoma so much huh?"
"We're not talking about that, we're talking about how you're a mess right now. And what good is anyone who doesn't support their partner into being capable even without their presence. We aren't dating people to have a new parent figure in our lives!"
"Bla blaa, you don't even have much experience with love what are you going on about."
"Drunk Ayaka is quite harsh. Oh well, if you insist on keeping at this then go ahead. But this talk of ours isn't over yet, I'll have a proper chat with you again when you're less drunk." They get up from the sofa and sneak to where Ayato's bedroom is.
"Ayatoo?" They knock on the door to his room.
It took a few moments for a response. "A moment please."
"No it's fine, I was just going to let you know I'll head home now. I told my mom I wouldn't stay out too late."
"What?" He opens the door almost immediately, the shirt that he was just about to change into was still in his hand and so his nude upper body was there for (y/n) to see. "You're an adult though, you don't need to follow a curfew."
"Yeah uh, curfew... Right." (Y/n) kept glancing from his face to his torso, to his face, then to his man tiddies. "That's just how we do... Damn. I mean do things in my household."
Ayato stiffles a laugh, amused at how painfully obvious you could see them struggle to not stare at his body. "You sure you don't want to stay any longer? For dinner? Or would you like to come in my room?"
"Nah but thanks for the offer, I really got to get going now. Bye!" (Y/n) turns around and walks away feeling all sorts of fuzzy. It's like he had some sort of paralyzing effect on them but even that didn't quite describe the sensation.
"How unfortunate. And I was being serious about inviting them into my room." The man frowned.
