Rosa's Task
Rosas heart started to race. What did he mean? Put anything past him? Was that a threat? She cleared her throat and decided she wouldn't allow herself to show fear infront of him. She was Rosa Diaz - who the hell did he think he was? "What's that meant to mean?"
"It means I know everything about you - all your deepest, darkest secrets. And you needn't think that i wouldn't do that, wouldn't release them... because i would and i will if i need to."
Rosa scoffed. "What deep dark secrets do you know?"
Rogers smiled and sat back in his chair. "Where to start? I know you're adopted. I know your real mother is in jail and will be for the rest of her life. I know you're not the age you say you are and I know you're in love with-"
"STOP!" Rosa yelled. "Okay i get it. How do you know all this?"
"I have ways."
Rosa swallowed. "Right. So what do i have to do for you to keep your lips shut?"
Rogers stood up and paced up and down his office. "Listen - i like you. you're a good detective, I know that. I would be stupid to get rid of you. The rest of the squad, though, I have no interest in at all. I want one of two things and I am going to let you choose. I want them out of the NYPD - they can't be cops any more, they'll get in my way. Or i want them dead and I want you to do it. There's one person who must die though. The others can just be fired if thats what you want, but this one.." he showed rosa a photo of one of the squad members... "needs to die. You can go now." He opened his office door and Rosa stumbled out into the bullpen, her eyes wide.
"Hey Diaz what was that?"
"Nothing," she muttered. "Just a case. It was nothing."
