KABANDH VADH
The 4 warriors were on their way to search Mata Sita, when they found a wounded Jatayu holding to his dear life.
"Shri Ram..." He manages to call.
They all ran towards him and Shri Ram placed his head on his lap.
"Jatayu ! Yeh kis papi ne kiya !?" Shri Ram asked.
"Shri Ram.....Mai kabse apne praan rok ke rakh raha tha taki aapko Devi Sita ke baare mai suchit kar saku." Jatayu said.
"Sita ? Kaha meri Site ? Kaun har le gaya usse ?" Shri Ram asked.
"Ravan....Lankesh Ravan. Maine unhe bachane ki bahut koshish ki kintu nahi bacha saka.....kshama kare Shri Ram...kshama kare." Jatayu said.
"Nahi Jatayu Nahi ! Aapne toh parakram dikahaya hai. Batayiye Ravan kaha legaya hai Sita ko ?" Shri Ram asked.
"Woh Devi Sita ko akash-maarg se dakshin disha ki oor le gaya hai." Jatayu said.
"Chinta mat kijiye Jatayu, woh Ravan mujhe jaha milega mai waha uski chita bana dunga. Aapka bhi badla mai awashya lunga." Shri Ram said.
"Aapka sankalp safal ho Shri Ram, ab agya de." Jatayu said and took his last breath in Shri Ram's arms.
"Oh Jatayu....." Few tears fell from Shri Ram's eyes.

After doing Jatayu's final rites, Shri Ram and Laxman along with Aahana and Aarashi again started their journey in search of Mata Sita.
On their way Shri Ram found some bangles lying on the ground. He picked it up to have a clear look.
"Dekho yeh meri Sita ki Chudiya hai, woh dusht Ravan awashya usse iss hi maarg se le gaya hoga." Shri Ram said.
"Ha bhaiya yeh thik maarg hai." Laxman said.
"Toh hume aage chalna chahiye." Aahana said.
They started walking again and after a while suddenly something grabbed Aahana and Aarashi and pulled them up harshly.
"SHRI RAM !" They screamed.
Shri Ram and Laxman turned around and their eyes widened seeing an Asur, with just one eye, one mouth and two extremely long hands but no feet, it was none other than kabandh.
Aahana and Aarashi winced as Kabandh squished their bodies by tightening his grip.
"Aaj milega mujhe manushya ka maas ! Khane mai anand aayega !" Kabandh said squeezing the girls even more, causing a little blood to come out from the corner of their mouth.
"Chinta mat karo hum tumhe kuch nahi hone denge !" Shri Ram assured as he and Laxman shot few arrows at Kabandh.
"Aise chote-chote bano se mera kuch nahi hoga !" Kabandh laughed.
Shri Ram then summoned an arrow and shot it straight at Kabandh's eye, the asur let goes of the girls and they fall on the ground.
Kabandh screams as his entire body gets covered in flames and he falls behind and in a matter of moments his entire body is reduced to ashes. A deity emerges from it.
"Dhanyawaad punya-aatma. Mai ek gandharv hua karta tha, shraap ke karan Rakshas ban gaya. Iss shraap se mujhe tab hi mukti mil sakti thi jab koi dharm-veer mujhe yudh mai hara deta. Par iske badle, mai apko paramarsh ke alawa kuch nahi de sakta. Mai aapko salha deta hu ki Maharishi Matang ke ashram jaake, tapasvini Shabri se miliye. Woh aapke sankalp ko purn karne hetu aapka maarg Darshan karengi." The Gandharv said and then descended back to heavens.

A/N
FUN FACT : Mata Sita shedding her jewelleries and clothes as trail for Shri Ram to find her is very symbolic. It is the removal of clothes of a goddess, and guess which goddess comes unclothed ? Mata Kali, and her arrival forebodes the end of Dharma and civilization. This shedding of jewelleries and clothes symbolizes that Ravan is threatening Dharma and the entire civilization by kidnapping a pious woman like her.
