Slowly more people woke up, some screamed and others just sat in bewilderment like I did, not knowing how to respond to the situation. I sat where I woke up, hugging my knees to my chest as silent tears trickled down my cheeks and landed on the cold floor beneath me.

Finally someone had the courage to stand up and find a light switch, a dull click sounded through the air and everyone rubbed their eyes as a bright light infiltrated the harsh darkness of the room. Those that weren't already awake, shot up from their sleeping positions and stared open mouthed. I could see everyone now, instead of the outlines that I had been staring at for the past few hours.

Slowly I counted them in my head, there were eleven. That made twelve including myself.

"What's going on?" A girl with jet black hair said with her voice quavering. Everyone's eyes flicked to her and then back at the floor where most people were looking.

"I don't know," the girl sat beside her murmured, her voice echoing off the metal walls of the room.

Raising my head up, I gave them both a sympathetic smile; nobody wanted to talk, most probably couldn't even form a coherent word. The shock was like a tranquilizer, it paralyzed you inside your brain- the only thing you could think was 'how do I get out of here'.

"Hey you're Niall Horan," a girl with teal coloured hair shouted loudly, shattering the silence that had swallowed the room. Following where her finger was pointing, I focused on the blond haired boy that was sat uncomfortably on the floor.

I hadn't recognized him when the lights first came on, but now that I was taking a full look I made him out to be the One Direction singer. My little sister had sung their songs until there were no more happy reasons to sing; the thought of my sister made hot red pain strike my chest. Trying to forget the ache, I tried to concentrate on Niall who awkwardly waved at us all. Looking around at the rest of the people I tried to see if there was anyone else I knew- there wasn't.

"If we're doing introductions, then I guess I should say I'm Coby," the boy with large muscles said, his hair was stuck out at different angles as a result from sleeping on the floor. He gave us all a weary smile, his white teeth gleaming in the harsh lights.

Without needing any further discussion we knew that we would do the very toddler like thing of sitting in a circle while we all said our names. I wanted to laugh at the absurd situation but I was too afraid to even open my mouth in case I started crying heavily.

"I'm Indigo," the girl next to Coby said slowly, she had ginger hair and mesmerising emerald eyes.

The girl sat next to her awkwardly looked down at her hands and muttered something along the lines of, "I'm Madeline, nice to meet you all."

The boy sat next to me already had a confident smirk on his face, he didn't seemed fazed by it all. He was the blond haired, six packed boy who would listen to rap music to seem cool; the kind of boys that I used to roll my eyes at when I went to school. When school even existed.

"I'm Jack," he said, a thick posh English accent strong in his voice. He was from London, that much I could tell from just the clothes he was wearing.

When everyone fixated their gaze onto me I wanted to crawl into the corner and bury my head into my hands hoping that they would stop staring.

"I'm Dara," I said slowly, trying to judge people's reaction to me. Everyone nodded and then moved their eyes over to the girl sat next to me who was sweating profoundly.

"My name is... Ellie," she said, her voice breaking in the middle of her sentence. I heard Jack snicker next to me and I was tempted to jab him in the ribs with my elbow but I decided against it seeing as we had just met.

"The name is Maz," he was wearing glasses that he pushed up the bridge of his nose every few seconds, he had a small Afro that stuck out of his head. When he saw that I was still looking at him, he gave me a faint smile that I returned.

"Azul, pleasure to meet you all," a beautiful name for a beautiful person, her complexion was beyond perfect as she seemed to glow under the lights. Snapping out of my gaze, I turned to the person sat next to her and saw a pale girl with jet black hair- the one who had asked what was going on. The brave person who decided to speak first.

"I'm Zara," everyone seemed so shy, everyone except Jack who made it obvious that he thought he was better than everyone.

"Gary," I vaguely heard a boy with slicked back brown hair say before the person next to him spoke.

"I'm Adam," he was Australian from his accent but he wasn't as tanned as I thought he would be.

Together we seemed a very diverse group, there were people of all ethnicities but I gathered that most people were from the UK. There were only a few who had accents, indicating they may have moved to the UK when they were younger or that they had been taken from their country and to wherever we were situated.

Silence took control of the room as people struggled to think of what to say, everyone just seemed to be looking around with panicked eyes. I couldn't remember half of the people's names despite there only being eleven people in the room. I didn't know how long I would have to be with these strangers but all I knew was that every second I stayed in that room fear ran round my veins, in my bloodstream. Fear intoxicated me, it choked me, it was like a heavy burden on my chest that I wasn't sure could ever be lifted.

So I get that there are a lot of characters but there is a reason for that I promise! If you have already forgotten some of the names here is a complete list of names with ages:
