          LEXI'S eyes nearly closed as they moved in a steady pace. About three minutes into walking, Steve had decided that carrying Lexi was easier than her putting weight on it.

"There," she mumbled, her arm lifting when she spotted grey light flooding in the dark tunnel. Her hand shook visibly before she let it fall limply against her stomach. Tony led the way. When he turned the corner, Thor was standing on the edge of the broken floor.

Steve gently let Lexi down to her feet and she nodded in appreciation. She held on to his arm as she limped to Thor's side with Tony and Steve. Following Thor's intense gaze, she spotted Thanos in the distance, sitting on a stray boulder of cement...waiting.

"What's he been doing?" Tony asked sharply as Thanos' head lifted to look back at the four.

"Absolutely nothing." Thor shook his head in disbelief.

"Where are the Stones?" Steve mumbled after a moment of silence.

"Lost somewhere under all this," Tony glanced around at the destroyed land. "All I know is that he don't have them."

Lexi swallowed painfully, her throat dry. "Then let's keep it that way." Steve nodded firmly at her, clenching his jaw.

"It's a trap...right?"

"Yeah..." Tony slowly agreed to Thor's question. "I don't much care."

"Good. Just as long as we're all in agreement."

Thunder rumbled in the sky as Thor outstretched both of his hands. His eyes shown a neon blue as lightning surged over his both. Suddenly the Stormbreaker and Mjolnir landed in his hands. A flash of lightning struck him and Thor was left in his armour with his hair and beard tied up. Lexi was shocked and impressed, but chose not to voice her thoughts. "Let's kill him properly this time."

Tony turned to Lexi when Steve and Thor started their way down. "Stay put."

Lexi didn't want to argue, or go, frankly. She only nodded at his words and bowed her head. Tony pursed his lips and leaned forward to press a platonic kiss her forehead. "I'll be back soon, okay?"

She watched Tony walk down, a deep feeling of dread in her gut.

          HOLLY swam to the best of her ability as the water rose rapidly. Pressing her hand to the slab of concrete above them, she glanced at Rhodey. He nodded back at her before looking at Rocket. "See you guys on the other side."

Rocket whined nervously.

"J-Just hang in there. Someone will come." Holly said, spiting out water that entered her mouth. "I hope."

          IT all happened so fast, and Lexi was in complete horror. Thanos had entered and quickly won the fight between Thor, Tony and Steve. In a panic, she rushed in to try and help, but was beat down in the first ten seconds. Her body was casted aside, hitting the ground and knocking her unconscious. Lexi laid beside Thor. Steve was able to wield Mjolnir, but it didn't help much for winning the fight.

Now, Thanos stood over Steve as he laid battered on the ground with only half his shield left. Clenching his teeth, he rolled onto his side.

"In all my years of conquest," the Titan surveyed the area. "Violence...slaughter. It was never personal. But I'll tell you know, what I'm about to do to your stubborn annoying little planet; I'm going to enjoy it. Very, very much."

Behind Thanos, in the distance, a bright beam of light hit the Earth. From the light emerged his army of all shapes and sizes; including the Black Order, a field of Chitauri, the Outriders and Sakaarans.

Steve placed his forearms on the dirt, grunting through his teeth as he forced himself to stand up. He panted when he finally stood, peering across the land at the Titan. He glanced down at his arm, noticing a wide gash along the inside. With a shaking hand, he reached up and tightened the strap on his shield.

He walked forward, eyes trained on how he was vastly outnumbered. Beside him, the Sun peaked through the smoke and the clouds.

A sudden voice cut into his comm, mixed with static. Steve froze, eyes moving to the dirt as he listened closely. His eyes going slightly wide, he looked around.

"Cap, it's Sam. Can you hear me?"

Steve gingerly touched his finger to his ear, almost believing he was imagining this.

"On your left."

He turned, watching as an orange portal opened. A bright light casted from it and suddenly three figures emerged.

Walking out, Shuri, T'Challa and Okoye.

Steve's shoulders dropped as tears stung his eyes. He panted, his mouth slightly gapped. T'Challa looked at him, nodding slightly. Sam Wilson suddenly soared from the portal, looping around the sky as multiple portals now opened around the Captain.

A portal emerged near Steve's right. Doctor Strange floated in the air, Drax rushed forward with his daggers and Mantis held up her hands. Peter Quill jogged forward, taking off his mask. Amber clenched her fists, cracking her knuckles menacingly. Peter Parker and Lucy swung down before letting their masks fall away. The two teens glanced at one another in astonishment before looking back at Steve. Lucy offered a small wave.

"Yibambe!" T'Challa shouted as Steve finally broke a smile.

Behind the three, a large army of the Kingsguards and the Dora Milaje. "Yibambe!"

The chant was repeated multiple times as more portals opened and more familiar faces poured out; Bucky, Anastasia, Wanda, Groot, Valkyrie and her army, Wong, Korg, Miek, other sorcerers, Pepper with her own iron made suit and even Astrid.

"Is that everyone?" Stephen said in his usual monotoned voice, turning is head to Wong.

Wong glared at him. "Like you wanted more."

Thor smiled as Lexi sat up. Her eyes were wide as she surveyed the sudden crowd of heroes. Tony sat up as well, taken back.

Everyone's heads turned as Scott broke from the crushed building. Opening his hand, Bruce, Rhodey, Rocket, Holly and Christina all jumped off.

Steve turned back to the Titan and his army, shooting a challenging look.

"Avengers!" He shouted, all hearing him over their comms. Outstretching his free hand, the Mjolnir flew into his hand. Steve clenched his jaw, glaring straight ahead. "Assemble."

Thor shouted a sudden battle cry before everyone followed suit; rushing forward at full speed. The Kingsmen and Dora Milaje cried out as Valkyrie and her company flew overhead. Rhodey and Sam soared side by side with Rocket. Scott stomped forward and Christina used her suit to fly too.

Thanos life his double edged sword, commencing the battle.

When the two sides collided, hell broke loose.

Steve slammed the hammer on the ground, sending a bolt of lightning to an on-coming Chitauri. Christina suddenly grew to normal size, kicking down another as Scott punched down a Chitauri ship overhead. M'Baku cries out as his swings his heavy staff down on an enemy.

T'Challa spun in the air, skillfully kicking someone as Okoye swings her spear around. Shuri fires her Vibranium gauntlets as Drax jumps on a Sakaaran back. Using his daggers to stab him, Amber sprints forward before dropping to her side and kicking out the Sakaaran's legs.

Pepper flies above, blasting a Chitauri ship. Tony swoops in and the pair defend and attack back to back.

Steve and Thor fight together back on the ground, and Steve uses his destroyed shield as best as he can. Thor grabs hold of the hammer as Steve grabs the axe.

Thor shakes his head, "No, no, give me that." Steve tosses the axe as Thor throws the hammer. "You get the little one."

Steve shakes his head, turning and fighting more. Thor launches in the air, leaving the scene.

Bucky and Anastasia stand beside one another, firing their guns before Rocket joins in. As a Chitauri nears she stops firing and uses the butt of her gun to pistol whip it. It falls to the ground with a heavy thump.

Tony is back on the ground, firing around himself. He suddenly stumbles forward as Cull Obsidian hits him. He falls to the ground, using his blasters to defend himself. When Cull raises his arms to attack, he's suddenly pulled back before fall to the ground. Scott suddenly steps on him, killing Cull.

Behind Scott's foot, Peter and Lucy stand proudly. "Go, go." Lucy urges softly and Peter jumped forward, helping Tony to stand. "Holy cow!" he breathes as Lucy lands behind Peter. "You won't believe what's been going on."

"You remember when we were in space?" Peter asked in a quiet voice. Tony pauses, taking a small moment to realize Peter and Lucy are alive. "Well we got all dusty, and I must've passed out cause I woke up and you were gone, and Doctor Strange was there, right? And he's like it's been five years, come on! and then he started doing the yellow sparkly thing he does all the time—"

He was cut off by Tony leaned forward and enveloping him in a tight hug. Peter froze, blinking a few times. "This is nice..."

"You too," Tony muttered as Lucy, grabbing her wrist. "Come here."

Lucy nearly yelps as Tony includes her in the hug. She squeezes her eyes shut, a happy feeling filling her stomach. She blinks away tears. "I'm so happy right now."

QUILL flipped around, dodging an Outrider biting at him before getting hit by another. Quill falls to the ground, ducking in a broken hallway that was once in the facility. He turns, firing his gun at two Chitauri. He grunts as one attacks him from behind.

Suddenly, the alien was shot off his back, and he turns to see Lexi standing a few years away. Her arm falls to her side as her shoulder sink slowly in disbelief. Inhaling sharply, her chest heaving beneath her leather jacket.

Quill slowly reached up, taking off his helmet and staring back at Lexi with wide eyes.

"L-Lexi?" he asks in a gingerly voice, taking a small step forward.

"Peter," Lexi responds, lip quivering visibly. She limps forward and Quill notices her limp. His brows furrow in concern but he meets her halfway, taking her in, in a tight hug. Lexi wraps her arms around his neck, crying into the nape of it.

"I thought you were gone." she sobs, her body shaking.

"I'm here, baby, I'm here." Quill cooed, his own tears slipping down his cheeks.

A cry of a Chitauri rips them apart and before either can attack, it's shot down. The couple turn on their heel, and Gamora is standing beside present-Nebula.

"Gamora?" Quill and Lexi said in unison, eyes wide with shock.
