"We ran as fast and far as we could. They caught up to Smoke though, and made that scar down his back," Willow explained after Eclipse and Sapphire told theirs.

Smoke turned his back to them and a scar that ran down his back from his shoulder blades to his haunches became visible. Smoke then said," Willow pulled him off before he could do much damage though," he gave a grateful glance to her.

Birch breathed in a large breath, as if he was nervous to share, but spoke, "I was born in Night Pack. My mom and dad were always discouraged about how I acted. I wasn't like them, I couldn't be. I could never kill anything other then prey," He paused, "My parents were going to kill me. I heard them agree to kill me and getting it over with. They were just as ruthless as the rest of them."

Birch got comfortable again in his new-made bed, "I ran away and found Smoke and Willow. We've been together ever since."

They were in another cave part of the cave. In the farthest of the seven were they made camp.

Chirping from the crickets, indicated that the night was upon. Eclipse settled down to sleep.

The soft breathing of the four was the last thing she heard until she fell into a light sleep.

"Eclipse! Wake up!" An urgent whisper startled her.

Eclipse jumped up, "Whats wrong!"

Smoke stood before her, "Loners. They want to see you. The word has spread."

Eclipse fallowed him through the cave and out into the sunlight. The dawn light brightened the forest tops, turning them coppers and golds.

Three loners were waiting, surrounded by Willow, Birch and Sapphire. The loners dipped there heads respectfully as Eclipse stepped out of the tunnel.

the white wolf spoke first, "I'm Ice," She flicked her ear to the grey wolf and said, "This is stone, and this," She pointed to a white wolf with a grey sock on her far left foot, "Is Fern."

Eclipse dipped her head respectfully, "What is it you want?"

Fern responded, "We would like you to be our leader and join your pack."

Eclipse was taken aback. She never thought of herself as a leader, and her group of wolves a pack. She just hoped Night Pack didn't know. Eclipse wasn't ready to confront them yet.

"I will talk to my 'pack' first, before making a decision. In the meantime, you can rest inside the cave," she spoke.

Eclipse waited for all to enter before she fallowed. The three loners stopped before the opening, glancing at each other in fear.

"It's ok," Eclipse reassured, " It wont't collapse on you."

After a moment more of hesitation, Fern was the first to step in, then Stone and Ice fallowed wearily behind.

"I don't think we should except them right away. Not until we know they are trustworthy," Sapphire spoke.

Eclipse walked into the room were they made camp and into an argument.

"Well, I don't trust you, and we still let you in!" Smoke retorted.

"At least I didn't just assume Eclipse would take me in! She came with me because she trusted me!" Sapphire shot back.

Smoke fumed. He looked like he would strangle her, "At least I don't think everyone will hurt everyone! I joined because i wanted to get rid of Night Pack. Not because I was lonely!"

"At least..." Sapphire started but Eclipse cut in.

Enough! We came to discuss things! Not to strangle each other!"

"Besides, we need all the wolves we can get to make a big enough pack to get rid of Night Pack." Birch said quietly.

Sapphire started again, "What if..."

"What if nothing! Birch is right! Except that, Sapphire!" Willow retorted.

Sapphire flinched and looked like she was about to cry until Birch said, "Lets vote. If we can't agree, then vote. Everyone get a rock."

Eclipse picked up a small pebble and sat down in her original spot. Birch drew two circles with his claw.

"This one is agreeing with them joining," He pointed to the left, then to the other, "This is the opposing. Eclipse, go first."

She stepped to the agreeing circle and dropped her pebble there. Smoke was second, he dropped in the agreeing, so did willow. Surprisingly, Sapphire dropped her's in with the others. Birch did the same.

"There, problem solved, The loners stay," Birch announced.
