Chapter 2.

Robert POV.

Day 4.

I haven't slept and I didn't ate anything after yesterdays.... events.
Honestly could you sleep when something like this happens to you?
Anyways right now I am sitting here before the fire staring into the flames, the pile of wood that somehow appeared in my cave getting smaller and smaller. But right now I don't care about that, right now I am trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I am not human anymore. Instat I am, what were they called again? Navi right that is it, I saw them in documentaries on earth. Honestly I was kind of jealous considering the beautiful planet that they all to themself, but then I remembered what we humans did to ours. Not gonna lie there I wasn't suprised as I heard that the Navi were fighting against us, we h... the humans already destroyed one planet only for profite so it doesn't come as a suprised when they do it to another one. Also the Navi fight for their home, children and their future while the humans fight for profite.
So you can guess who is more fierce in combat, the only thing the human soldiers think about is their paycheck that is the only reason they fight for. But only because I like nature and that the humans get a beating doesn't mean that I agreed to be a Navi!
Well I can't change it now but I also don't know what to do, like I knew what I planned yesterday. But that was before all of this happened, hearing my stomach grumble for like the hundrest time. I can look for explanation later for now I should atleast eat something, grabbing a Yovo fruit and started eating, it still had that slight citrus flavor and was sweet like a apple.
In the end I ate three of the fruits til my stomach was happy with the amount of food. Remembering the plans that I had yesterday I stood up and stretched, I definetly grew in size I nearly could reach the ceiling of the dome. I was taller then the entrance to the cave that much was clear as I had hit my head on it yesterday. Feeling a sharp pain in foot I looked down and saw that the top of it was burned. Right I burned my foot yesterday aswell.
Shaking my head I grabbed a piece of my ripped trousers before making my way outside, forgetting my new height I hit my head on the cave entrance. Letting out a string of curses I lowered my head and walked out, reaching the river I put my foot in first hissing at the pain but non the less I started scraping of the burned skin as I was done I took the piece of fabric and cleaned it in the water aswell before wrapping it around my burned foot tightly so that it wouldn't fall off or let any dirt in.
First task done now I need more firewood, more things to eat and maybe try to get something that I can use as a weapon or tool. I walked into the forest not to far so I can still hear the waterfall behind me, just like on the second day I first collected wood and brought it back to my cave before going out again to collect something to eat which I also brought to my cave. Then after I made sure that the fire would survive a few hours without me I headed out again. I walked along the river picking up a stone from time to time, I was looking for a stone that I could use as a handaxe. It didn't take me long to find a fitting stone and with that done I went to my next agenda making a loincloth. Sadly my undewear just like my trousers didn't survived yesterdays events, so yeah I am running around butt naked right now.
I didn't need to look long to find a liana, using my stone I tried to cut it but the problem was. My stone didn't have any sharpe edges with what I could have cut the liana, thinking quickly I looked for a big rock and then hit it with my stone a couple of times. After the third hit on the rock a flake broke off of the stone another hit and another flake broke off leaving one side of my stone with a sharpe edge. I grabbed the liana and then used the sharpe edge to cut it off, then I went back to my cave and went inside.
Inside I took the biggest piece of my ripped trousers that I could find, which was a part of the trouser leg. I double looped the liana around my waist and made a knot in it before putting the cloth through and tied that to the liana and voilà loincloth done. It isn't much but it should do for now, anyways now I need something to disinfect the burn wound on my foot. I know I cleaned it earlier and scrubbed off the burned skin but it can still get infected so I need to disinfect it. So now the only question is what is a healing plant and what not, deciding that I won't find out by simply by sitting around in my cave I made may out and towards the forest again.

Two hours of searching and I still have no idea of what I could use to disinfect my wound. Man it would be so much easier if I could remember what stood in the book of Grace Augustine, she wrote it down. The plants and how they are connected and how the Navi use them but of course good old me can only remember frictions of it. I really should have read through it more then once but well I can't change it now.
I walked deeper into the forest then I originally intended but I can still hear the waterfall behind me so everything is good.
It also seems like luck is on my side once again, because as I was walking I hear two voices. That must be Na'vis I thought, I walked closer to the voices before laying down on my stomach and then crawl the rest of the way. Sure enough there were two Na'vi a old one and a younger one maybe a teen from the looks of it, probably Grandmother and Granddaughter from the looks of it. They were peeling of the bark of a tree, the bark then was put in baskets and the older Na'vi began speaking I only could pick up fragments of it though.

Older Na'vi :,,Yalnabark....... good for wounds....... stings less..... can make creme...... or you apply it like that."

Okay seems like the bark of that tree is used as medicine good to know. I waited till they left but that was taking quite long, because they brought to baskets and both baskets were huge. They were bigger then the granddaughter. For what do they need so much? They skinned three, trees before they were full and finally as the baskets were full they left. Waiting for a couple of minutes I finally made my way over to the three skinned trees, the trees were already emittin resin, nature does really heal faster here.
Anyways I need to get some of that bark, they only left the bark that was closer to the ground. Using my only tool that I have my sharpe stone it didn't took me long and I got a piece of the bark that was big enough to cover my wound. I took of the cloth that I bound around my foot and then applied the bark on it, it didn't sting as bad as I though it would and after a couple of seconds it actually felt cool and soothing.
After securing the piece of bark on my foot I started to make my way back home, I mean back to my cave.

As I lay in my cave and watched the flames of the fire, I still couldn't wrap my mind around what happened to me in those four days that I have been here.
But for some reason it feels right like I am supposed to be here, I don't know why I feel like that or if I like it or not.
I mean I am still Robert Miller a 45 year old Forester from South Dakota the only thing different now id that I am in the body of a 15 year old Na'vi.
Those thoughts were going through my mind as sleep finally took me.

Day 5.

Rise and Shine Robert you got work to do!
Well that would be what my mother would say if she was here and still alive of course.
Anyways I can't lay around here all day now can I, also laying on the floor is as uncomfortable as you think. Maybe I could make a bed? I could use that high grass that was growing near the river as a mattress, I could bind them together with lianas to bales. There were also some big leaves on some smaller trees maybe I could use them as bedsheet.
Yeah I will do that! But before that I should eat some breakfast, I grabbed two of the fruits that I collected and ate them. As I ate them I saw the stone that I used as a tool yesterday and I got a idea. I can't run around all the time with a stone in my hand. What if I need both of my hands? I grabbed my now completely dirtied shirt and used the sharpe edge of my stone to cut the sleeve off and then cut the sleeve open in length. After that I bound the fabric to the liana that was around my waist and done, finished is a small (atleast small for me) belt pouch. I put the stone in and well the fabric is able to hold it but the stone is nearly to big, I will need to make a better one at a later point but this should do for now.

Now let's start with todays projects, first more firewood I haven't collected any yesterday.
This task was easy and didn't took me long less then ten minutes, or atleast I think it only has been ten minutes. Anyways after bringing the wood back to my cave and making sure the fire survives for a couple of hours I made my way out again. The next thing I should do is check my wound on my foot and then maybe replace the bark that I put on my wound yesterday. Suprisingly my wound was healing and wasn't infected, the bark also seemed fine so I kept it and put it on my foot again.
So now let's get to the main objective of today making a bed.
First thing I will need is a couple of lianas, so I need to go into the forest first so that is what I do.
I found the lianas pretty quickly and started to cut them off with my stone, well I tried to cut them and it did work on one but after that the sharpe edge on my stone became to dull I guess. So I tried to chop them off and that did work, not only that my stone splittered aswell creating a new sharpe edge, two in one perfect. Now with 6 lianas in hand I made may way back to the high grass that was near the river. As I saw the grass I remembered that I have grown in height, because as I went through there as a human the grass reached my stomach now it only goes up to my hip.
Anyways let's forget about that it's not the time, I have work to do. I used the stone as a knife and grabbed a handfull of grass and then cut it off, I repeated that process until I had enough to make a bundle. Then I used a liana and bound the bundle in the middle and layed it aside so that I could make the other bundles.
I repeated the entire process another five times until I had six bundles of grass, those bundles I then took to my cave.
Back in the cave I layed the bundles besides each other before laying down on it. It was comfortable, but it was to short it only went to my knees my feet were on the ground.
Maybe two more bundles will do the trick? Well I also need some big leaves so I can do both in one go.
The two extra grass bundles were quickly collected and I also found three big leaves that I can use as a bedsheet.
I returned home and finished my bed and it was really comfortable, I would say that is a nice way to finish the day.
Sitting on my new bed I threw some wood into my fire before grabbing one of the fruits, munching down on the fruit I thought that my cave could need some decorating. Looking at the walls for several minutes, I finally got a idea. Finishing my fruit I stood up and pulled my stone out of it's pouch and walked up to the wall which was right to the entrance. Then I scratched the stone down the wall until I had 4 hand sized lines and then I made one big scratch across the 4 lines and done, 5 lines for the five days I have already been here.

Robert :,,Five days since this mess started."

Well this isn't much of decoration but it's better then nothing, also this might help me keep track of the days I have spent here. I sat down on my selfmade bed and but the stone on the ground besides it before laying down on the new bed. Looking up at the dome like ceiling of my cave I wait for sleep to take me and it didn't took long until it did.

Day 6.

So I am up and ready for day 6 after a quick breakfast I added another line to my checklist and then walked out of my cave. Once outside I made some stretches letting my bones pop, 15 or not making some morning gymnastics won't hurt. Then after a quick drink from the river and a inspection of my burned back foot. The burn hasn't fully healed and it won't for another two days I guess so I will leave the Yalnabark on for now.
Next thing on the agenda find more food, while the Yovo fruit is delicious I really should try to find more food sources.
I can't really hunt atleast with no equipment and hunting a animal with a stone won't be very efficent, unless I throw it and then is the question if I am able to even hit. So for now I will stick with fruits, now I know that I can eat the Yovo fruit but there have to be more. A idea is to try and find some Na'vi gatherers, only problem with that is where do I find them. Well I could try my luck and just walk into the forest on the other hand watching at the waterfall and the river. Maybe I could try to catch some fishes? Yeah I could do that but for that I will need something and that something is a long pointy stick. My grandpa once told me how he spear hunted with his grandpa but I never tried it, I found it boring at that time honestly.
Anyways who said I can't learn it now, so first things first I will need a stick, a stick that  is atleast somewhat straight and has a good length.
So I have to go into the forest after all but it can't be helped. It didn't took long to find some sticks but it took me quite a while to find one that could be used as a spear.
The stick went only to my shoulder though but it's straight and freshly broken of a tree. Going back to the river near my cave, I sat down and took my sharpened stone out of it's pouch.
Grinding the sharpe edge of the stone against the stick to remove the bark was quite easy, using the sharpe edge to make the stick pointy was quite hard but managable.
But the hard part came when it was time to use it for fishing, it didn't took long to find fishes I just had to walk a little bit further downstream away from the waterfall were the water was calmer.
Now came the hard part actually being able to get a fish, standing on the river edge I watched the fishes in the water. One came very close to my side of the river, I lifted my spear the pointy end aimed at the fish. I waited and then as the fish seemed to stand still in the water I thrusted my spear downwards, the point pierced through the water surface and....... missed the fish just barely. The fish startled by the spear that nearly killed it swam away and I sighed as I had to repeat it.

Exactly 18 times I repeated the same process again and again, I waited on the river edge, made no move and when one fish was swimming infront of me I lifted my spear took aim and thrusted forward. Problem was I always missed, me a former sniper and hunter.
Trying it one last time I waited again until a fish was infront of me, before I always aimed directly for the body of the fish, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea aiming a little bit lower.
Doing that I took one deep breath and then thrusted down into the water.
Water was splattering around as the fish tried to get away from the spear that just pierced through it's body.

Robert :,,Finally!"

Quickly I let go of my spear and grabbed the fish with both hands, I won't risk it somehow slipping of the tip. The fish was quite big atleast the size of my lower arm, I pulled it out of the water and threw it on the ground far enough away so that it wasn't able to somehow get back in the water. Reacting quickly I pulled the stone out of it's pouch and ran to the fish, I pinned it down with one free hand and the hit the fish over the head with the stone. It took 3 hits until the fish was finally dead.
I smiled at the dead animal feeling pride that I got it, after all it nearly took me the whole day!
Now it came to the last task gutting the fish, the edge on the stone hopefully is sharpe enough to cut the fish open.

Finally after a whole day trying to catch and gut one fish, I got back to my cave only to realise that I let the fire get out.
Groaning I got to work to get the fire going again so that I could cook my hard earned dinner.
It took me half a hour to get the fire going again but it was worth it as it meant that I could finally eat my fish. I pierced the fish on my spear and held it over fire, drooling as I saw the flesh being cooked.
Then after what seemed like forever which was probably only 20 minutes I took the fish of the fire and started to eat and it tasted well pretty blunt.
Well what did I expect, I have no salt or any other kind of seasoning but still it was better then just eating Yovo fruit.
Hmm maybe I could try to cook the Yovo fruit together with the fish maybe it will give the fish some flavor.
Now with a full stomach and a proper hunting tool in my possesion I layed down on my bed finding sleep easily.
This was a nice day I must say.

So hey guys quick question do you want Robert(Ralu) to have a romance later on or not?
