When I woke up, I didn't want to get out if bed. It was 10am. I rolled over and put my pillow over my head. A few seconds later my door opened and the pillow was ripped away.

"Get up sleepyhead!" Yelled Julian.

"Urgh! I don't want to! Leave me alone!" I yelled groggily.

He chuckled and took my blanket too. "Nope. Get up!"

I growled again but drug myself out of bed. I glared at him as he laughed. I looked in the mirror and my hair was sticking up all over the place. I looked like I slept with a beehive being built in my hair. I shooed Julian out and hopped into the shower. I took a long hot one. Then I got out and got dressed. I pulled on a pair of white booty shorts with a thin black rubber belt. I added a blue top and blue tennis shoes with black laces. I put my hair up with a white ponytail holder and grabbed my phone and keys. I had a car. I just didn't have my license. I went down into the kitchen where Julian and Mike were eating cereal at the table. I grabbed a bowl and spoon and poured myself some.

"Hey sis." Said Mike. "Beautiful morning."

I glared at him and he snickered. I pushed him over and sat down. I ate quickly.

"Hey do either of you guys wanna do something?" I asked.

"Nope. I have plans." They both said.

I put my bowl in the sink. "Alright."

Then I decided to text Jake.

Me: Hey u busy today??

Jake: Nah babe. Wanna do something?

Me: Sure. Pick me up?

Jake: B there in 5.

I took off my phone case and put in $57 and took my house key off my keychain and sliped it in to then put my case back on. I tucked my phone in my back pocket as I bounced down the stairs.

"See ya later guys!" I called.

I went outside to wait for Jake and saw Kade sitting outside on his porch. I walked over and plopped next to him.

"What's up?" I asked, nudging his offt with mine.

"Nothing." He said, staring at our feet not meeting my eyes.

"Kade?" I asked.

Just then, Jake pulled up in my driveway.

"Meet me here when I get back. Okay?" I asked.

He nodded and I ran over to my drive.

"Hey babe." He said when I got in, leaning over to kiss me immediately.

I kissed back but pulled away after a second. He did the same and pulled out.

"So where do you wanna go?" He asked, putting his arm over my seat and driving with one hand, laid back in his seat.

"Um... I dunno. What about you?" I asked.

"Well, wanna go to the basketball court?" He asked. "You might not be able to play, but you can watch." He said.

Jeez what a jerk. Is what I thought.

"Sounds great." Is what I said.

He must not know I am an athlete... It scares most guys away... I probably shouldn't tell him it might ruin things. So I kept it to myself. We went to the YMCA and I sat on the bleachers while him and his friends played. Everything went well. Until the end. He headed off to the locker room and I sat still, playing on my phone while I waited. And waited. And waited. He never came back. I went out to the parking lot and his car was gone. Wow. I called James, Anna, and Cali but none of them answered. So I finally called Kade.

"Heyo." He answered in the third ring.

"Kade?" I was near tears and I didn't know why but I kept my voice strong. "Can you come pick me up?"

"Um, Kel is everything okay?" He sounded worried.

"I'll just explain when you get here. I'm at the downtown Y." I said.

"Okay. I'll be there soon. Give me a few minutes." He said. "Bye."

"Bye." I said, and hung up.

I sat outside in the sun and waited. He pulled up about 2 minutes later and i had calmed down. Jake meant nothing to me. Our kisses were nothing and he was a jerk. He didn't even know me and I didn't know him either. I got in the car coolly but I could tell Kade was confused.

"Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. I came with Jake. It was kind of like a date. I watched him and his friends play some basketball and he left. He forgot me." I explained. "But it's okay. I'm done with him anyways."

He frowned but didn't say anything. He just pulled out of the lot and headed home. When we got there, he dropped me off and headed to his house. I texted him after a while.

Me: Hey, still wanna talk? We didn't really get to...

Kade: Not tonight.

Me: Okay.

Well then...
