Day 5: The Funeral
After their valiant efforts during the Battle of the Rhine, much of the defending Prussian troops fell that day. Today was the funeral as the 5th Brunswicker Grenadier Regiment and 9th Prussian Landwehr Regiment led the march throughout Brunswick, their final resting place.
The soldiers filed down the streets as hundreds of horses trotted with funeral caskets and respective companies leading at the front.
The highest ranking officer of each company spoke out loud a combined reading from all of the soldiers in their company as their words and a light tune of Preußenlied playing in a cycle rang throughout the city's streets.
(Prussians only)
