Chapter 17
His face had changed since then, his eyes and his hair were different, but his expressions weren't.
Even if his face had changed, I could still recognize both his facial expressions, and his face structure.
I don't know how I could've not recognized him when I first saw him.
Happily, he didn't seem to realize that I had recognized him, he might even not have realized whom I was, after all, I did change a lot in the last few years. the others seemed to relax when they realized the other group didn't look to harbor any ill intents towards us.
They approached us and said, "how are y'all doing found anything interesting since last time?". Khail replied, "no were looking to find some more Skisla flowers before the next deadline you?". "We couldn't find anything yet, we hoped to be luckier in this part of the mountains." We started all walking together and some of them such as Masov and Jax seemed happy to talk to each other, they had probably become friends in the first part of the simulation.
Other like Eisma and Byhn seemed to be wary of each other's group, I could understand them as we didn't truly know what everybody had hidden behind their facades. For all we knew, Jax's group could've followed us from the beginning and be plotting to remove us from the simulation like they might have done with the others five people of their team.
Whether they had killed them directly or not I wasn't sure but didn't want to be the next one to find out. as we walked towards our final destination, I insured that Jax would never leave my sight.
I couldn't bare to see him, but it would be worst to let him roam freely around knowing he might kill or hurt somebody else while laughing at their misery.
The kids of my first village might've called me the devil, but little did they know that the veritable devil was the one standing with them, he was the one to have destroyed many people's lives as most couldn't survive after being cast out by their families when they became what most would call a nuisance. For example, my little brother.
In most case, he would've been cast out and treated as if he was good for nothing, after all, a wolf who can't see can't survive.
I couldn't tolerate Jax's behavior, he acted as if nothing was wrong, but something was wrong.
He had been a monster, no, he was a monster.
The same kind I had been, except I was made that way and he was born this way, he could've prevented everything that had happened by just being nice, in fact, he didn't even need to act nicely, he should've just ignored us like he did with most kids.
He decided to hurt our family so I was going to destroy his, even I needed to destroy my life to achieve my goal, my brother would be able to live in a world free of this monster, free of people hurting him, as everyone would fear the legend that enveloped his name, just like people did with mine. my hands might be soaked in blood, but at least the crimson substance that taint my hands doesn't come from innocents.
Jax's hands on the contrary are soaked in the flaming red like blood of innocents.
