Narrator POV
Our story begins at a high school in Portland Oregon. We can see the MC James Anderson siting at a lunch table talking to his best friend Isaac.

James POV
James: Hey Issac how was classes today (as I take a bite of my lunch)

Issac: same as usual man boring. Hey have you noticed that all the school staff seem to be on edge. Not to mention when I was heading to school today I saw a lot of people loading up their cars with supplies and personal items.

James: I did notice that to man I don't know what's going on.

3rd POV
As the two friends were chatting about the weirdness going on around town the school intercom came on and the principal came on over the intercom.
Principal: Hello students due to some issues going on that we can't discuss at this time school will be closing early today and we don't know when school will be reopening so all students need to go home. Stay safe everyone.
All the students were happy that they didn't have to stay in school and began leaving the building towards their vehicles or to the school buses. James said goodbye to Isaac and started heading to his bike.

Once he unlocked the lock to help stop people from trying to steal his motorcycle he put his helmet on and started driving towards his parents house.

20 minutes later.
After driving for about 20 min on the highway James turned onto the dirt road that lead to his parents place. After another five minutes he turned into the driveway of his parents house. My parents own over 60 acres of Land with a barb wire fence that keeps people and poachers from trespassing on our property.

Their is a garage in the back
James POV
I started driving towards the house my parents should be home they had the day off today. Now you all may be wondering how is my family able to afford this house and property the simple answer is my dad owns a very successful construction and lumber business my mom works in the company headquarters helping keep everything organized and to find new clients for the company. Some may think my parents would be the typical rich people but they actually like to help people they donate a quarter of the proceeds after a contract to help the charities and the homeless shelters in the city. I continued driving up until I got to our garage and I clicked the garage door opener on my bike and drove inside next to my parents SUV I turned off my bike and took my helmet off and placed it on the rack next to the door.

I closed the door to the garage and started walking towards the house. Another thing you should know is my dad is a Apocalypse Prepper he is very into those kinds of things he turned the basement into a bunker and has a 15 year supply of non perishable food and water he also connected are house to an underground spring so in case the water was shut off. He also equipped the house with an electric boiler so it can heat the house and water and he also put in a water recycling system that will help recycle used water and to top it off he placed solar panels onto a nearby hill close to the house so in case of a power outage we would still have power.
3rd POV
James finally got to the front door of the house he took his key out and went inside and was greeted by his father watching TV in the living room.

James: Hey Dad I'm home.
Dad: Hey son your home early shouldn't you be at school?
James: The principal canceled school for the rest of the week it was weird he seemed scared of something. Hey where's mom I thought she had the day off today.
Dad: She does but she went to town to pick up some groceries for supper tonight.
James: Oh ok well I'm going to up to my room text me when she gets back.
Dad: ok talk to you later.
3rd POV
James grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and walked upstairs to his room.

He put his water on his desk and went to his bathroom to take a shower. After his shower he decided to play games on his PlayStation for a few hours.
3 hours later
James POV
I was playing COD for a few hours until I heard a ding from my phone. I lifted it up and saw that dad had texted me that mom was home. I checked the time it was just past 3;45 pm I decided to shut everything off in my room and head downstairs. Once I got downstairs I went to the kitchen to see mom putting groceries away in the cabinets.
Mom: Hey hon I heard from your father that school got canceled for the week.
Me: yeah it did it was weird and when I was driving to school some people were packing up and leaving their homes.
Dad: James!! Allison!!, come in here you need to see this.
3rd POV
James and his mother ran into the living to see their father\Husband watching the news.
James\Allison: what's wrong they both yell.
Max: just watch
He turned up the volume on the TV and the news shows the mayor of Portland addressing the public he seemed panicked.
Mayor(Scared): my fellow citizens in and around Portland you need to listen 12 hours ago a national terrorist organization of unknown origin launched several ballistic missiles to heavily populated cities in every country they also launched several missiles to the U.S and Canada and one is said to hit our city I beg everyone to evacuate the city the governor has sent the national guard to protect and use the Portland airport as a evacuation point everyone is to evacuate to the airport we have no idea when the missile will hit so please evacuate as soon as you can.
TV shuts off
Allison\Mom: this has to be a joke right( she asks shaking)
Max(serious): everyone pack the bare essentials we need to leave and head to the Airport now.
10 mins later
The whole family piled into their SUV and took off down the dirt road towards the highway. As soon as they saw that people and police were already heading towards the city or they were driving out along the highway.
James POV
Me and my parents were driving way past the speed limit we were thinking that we could get to the Airport no problem but we soon found ourselves stuck in a traffic jam and it looked like we were going to be stuck here for a while. I decide to get out of the car to see if I could see the end of the jam but as I'm looking up I see something in the sky everyone else looks towards where I'm looking and we all realize what it is too late.

I watch as the missile hit the middle of the city releasing some type of gas.
3rd POV
Everyone is watching the gas that starting to head towards the stuck cars most people start panicking and start running away as people start running out of the gas and start tearing people apart. James gets his parents out of the car but in the panic they become separated. James decided to run all the way back home and just wait for his parents to show up but

They never did.
