Meeting a Furry

James POV

???: AHH!!! Someone help me please!!!

I turn around confused because i knew there was no one else in the airport when i got here other then the infected. I run over to my bike and place my backback and duffle bag next to it and took off running towards the area where i had heard the screams. I continue running until i stop to catch my breath and listen to pinpoint the persons location.

???: Please Anyone!!!

James(thought) found You

3rd POV
James quickly walked over to a burned out vehicle and pulled out his crossbow and readied a bolt. He quietly turned the corner and got a clear view of who was yelling. In front of the vehicle about 15 yards was a tipped over military truck where a person could be seen sitting ontop of it while hugging their knees and at the bottom of the truck were 6 zombies that were trying to claw at the Survivor. James tried to get a good look at the survivor but they were wearing a hoodie he raised up his crossbow and fired a shot. The bolt sored through the air and struck one of the zombies in the back of the head. The zombie let out a low groan as it fell to the ground lifeless James quickly pulled the string back and reload another bolt and shot another zombie through the eye as it fell to the ground lifeless as the other four zombies turned around to the sound of the body dropping and they soon spotted james next to the vehicle and started shuffling towards him.

James POV

I quickly reload a third shot and fire at the lead zombie the bolt flew through its skull and caused its body to fall back first onto the ground i decide to sling my crossbow behind my back and pulled out my bat.
James(yelling): Come on you rotten bastards come and get me

The remaining three zombies staggered towards me i readied my bat and once the first zombie was close enough i swung causing the blade on the end embed itself into its skull. I quickly pull it out and swing it at the second zombie slicing the side of its skull off. the third and final zombie lunged at me but i side steped causing it to fall on its face i quickly rush over and bring the bat over my head and swung it with such force it decapitated the zombie i step back to catch breath i head over to the zombies i shot and pulled out my bolts while wipping them off with a rag i had in my pocket. I look up toward the top of the over turned vehicle and decide to yell up towards the person.
James: Hey you up on the vehicle it's safe now I took care of the infected.

???(trembling voice): A-Are you sure

James: yes now come down it's not safe here I say looking around
The survivor carefully jumps down they are still wearing their hoodie. I look closer and see that they are wearing short shorts and aren't wearing shoes. But what is shocking is that they have a tail and looks like paws and fur on their legs.
James(Shocked voice) What are you I ask the person then turn around and slowly lower their hood I am left speechless.

???(Shy voice)H-Hi I'm Lily she says in a embarrassed voice
James(Still in shock) Ok Lily I'm James and what are you I said in a scared type tone
Lily: Nice to meet you James. I'm a anthropomorphic dog or a furry she said in a normal tone.
James: Oh ok so why are you out here all alone and without any weapons I said in a curious tone.
Lily: well I was looking for food when those things came out of nowhere and attacked me and I lost my knife during the scuffle she said in a scared tone.
James: Well Lily it was nice to meet you but I need to go I said putting my bolts back in my quiver.

I was just about to leave when I heard lily yell out in a scared tone.

Lily(Scared and whimpering ) W-Wait p-please don't leave me can I please come with you please she said almost in tears.
James: (Sighs) Ok you can come with me.
Lily immediately gets excited and hugs me tightly while sniveling I hug her back gently.
James: Come on let's go I said in a calm voice
I start walking back to my bike with Lily walking next to me. Once we reach my bike I grab my bags and secure them to the back of the bike I hope on and Lily sits behind me and holds onto my waist tightly.
James: Hold on I say as I turn on the bike and floor it out of the airport towards home.

Lily POV
I was holding onto James as we were driving out of the city I couldn't help but feel calm and safe in his presence. As I'm thinking about James my face starts to get hot as I realized what I was thinking about I started mentally cursing myself but as I am my stomach starts growling and I realize every time I think of James my stomach starts growling I don't know what's happening to me?
