Rolling along the sea (male reader)
Louis's POV
"Put your sword in the air you land lover!" The captain laughed as he swung his sword at my chest. My white shirt caught the tip of his sword and ripped a hole into it.
"Not fair Captain! That was my best shirt!" I complained
"Well stop your complaining and strike back."
I picked up my sword and aimed at him. His hair was blowing in the breeze and the gentle wind was grazing his skin, making little bumps appear on his arms from the chill.
He was beyond handsome, one of the most attractive men I've ever seen in my life. He was absolutely perfect for me. The way he laughed with his throat exposed and when his hands dance across the hilt of his sword made butterflies turn in my stomach.
I had seemed to loose the conscious mind and slip into daydream for a while before being reawakened by a swipe of a sword next to my head.
"Come on now, no daydreaming in the middle of a duel! You'll get yourself killed!"
I turned back to him and swiped my sword at his chest.
"Oh ho! That was good! Now block! Charge! Turn! Repeat!"
It was a common task for me to duel the captain at least once a week. He saw me as one of the best duellists on the ship.
"Come on lift!" He commanded.
I started to breathe heavy as the fighting continued.
All the men on board created a little ring around us to they could all see the fight.
Some cheers in the crowd were for the captain but mostly they were for me. The men could never pass up the opportunity to make the captain kiss our shoes. I swiped and stabbed causing the captain to fall off balance. I corralled him to the corner where the plank lay wide open. I smirked as a plan unfolded.
I got him to step onto the plank and walk backwards till he reached the end.
"This is it for you." I smirked. I jabbed and he tried to curve the swing making him topple over the side. Before he could fall in I grabbed his arm and pulled him into my chest.
"Thanks." He breathed into my chest. My face flushed as I delivered a rough you're welcome.
He walked back onto the ship in shame and the men were laughing. He scowled at them and told them to forget about this.
"So, saving 'ur li'l boyfriend now are we?" One of the men joked as he poked me in the side.
"He's not my boyfriend!" I blushed
"Yet!" A couple men cheered in sync
"Shhh! You guys! That's embarrassing!"
"We all know you li' em! Just tell 'im!"
"I can't! That's way too much pressure."
"Course you can! You're a pirate! If you can loot a ship and take down three men at once, you can ask someone out!"
I shook my head at the thought of asking out the captain. I may be strong and able but the captain is one who I could never best... emotionally.
"MEN!" The captain shouted as he slammed the door open.
"Yes sir?"
"We have a job to fulfill!" He laughed
Third POV
They made their way off the large boat to the middle of the island. It was a dry, desert but also deserted island. It was relatively big and held a lot of creepy scenery. They all crushed through the thin layer of sand above the dirt and made their way into a small abandoned town.
"Why d'ou suppose everyone left?" One man with a curved sword asked
"Run down by bandits, I'm sure'it."
There was small conversation strewn about the group as they investigated the area.
"Louis. Look here." The captain said grazing his fingers along markings in the side of a building
"Carvings?"
"No, slices. Unintentional. From swords and axes. The deeper they are the sharper the weapon and the harder the swing."
"These'r all deep." Louis pointed out
"They must have been attacked."
They moved along the wall and found some text.
"What does it say, it's in a different language I can't read." Y/n furrowed his brows
"They are... dates... and names... and money." Louis transcribed "May 4th... TIEGUS COPPLE... 856$" He read.
"Raiding?" Y/n deduced.
"Hold on... that's strange."
"What is it?"
"When was the last civilization here? In these towns?"
"Years ago. Twenty, maybe twenty five years ago."
"These dates are recent."
"How recent?"
"Like yesterday."
"How's that possible?"
Louis's face went from confused to scared.
"GET OUT! EVERYONE NOW! GO!" Louis shouted.
"Louis?! What's going on?!"
Before Louis could answer him, y/n was snatched by an unknown man.
He fought and kicked but the aggressor was too large. Y/n wasn't a very big man nor was he strong.
"Put him down! Now!" Louis shouted unsheathing his sword.
"Why should I listen to you?" The man pointed his sword at y/n.
"Because I'm dangerous."
"He'd make me a pretty penny! He's a pretty man!" The aggressor sneered
"Put him down! NOW!"
"Fight me for him." Louis's bravery was now taking over as he started to see y/n fall out of his hands.
"I will."
"Come on big man. Don't go all weak in the knees for me." Louis laughed as he easily fought this big man.
"You're gonna get it." The man growled
"Will I now?"
Louis sighed bored and knocked the man on the head which rendered him unconscious.
"Come on! Let's go." Louis called.
Y/n scrambled to his feet and followed Louis.
He reached for Louis hand and Louis took it tight.
"Come on, love!" Louis shouted
Y/ns heart fluttered at the name. He always found Louis attractive but never said anything.
Everyone had made it back on board and there was a headcount done.
"Good everyone's here." The captain nodded.
"So what happened back there? We were ambushed."
"Those aren't bandits of items. They are bandits of people. Men to be exact."
"They steal and sell men?" The captain said straightening out his hat.
"Yes. It's a very common thing now a days. It's a way to make good money. Some people also sell and buy kids. They make good workers."
"Thats 'orrible. And they tried to take our cap'in." One of the men cried.
"I'm alright." Y/n reassured.
"Yes, thank god for that one."
"Thank Louis."
"Thank you sir." The men said
"Yes thank you. You saved our captain."
"You guys are welcome."
Louiss pov
"Louis can I talk to you for a minute?" Y/n asked as he peeked his head out of his office.
I nodded and stood up from the table where I was playing poker at.
"Ooooo." Everyone mocked as I walked to his office.
I rolled my eyes and walked in. I closed the door behind me gently and looked to see Y/n sitting in his chair with his feet on the desk
"So what do you need?"
"I want to say thank you. For saving my life today." He started "I... I owe you my life."
"Oh no, it's alright sir. It's nothing."
"It's not nothing." He shook his head "it was an honor I could never repay but... if there's anything you need, I'll be happy to help."
I sat in silence after a long nod.
"Well there is one thing." The courage in me was building and falling all at once as I debated asking him.
"What would that be?" Y/n asked now leaning forward in his chair to listen to me.
I glued my eyes to my feet and stuttered
"W-well I was... I was wondering if you'd- you don't have to- I was just- maybe if you could like..." I shifted around and finally looked at him in the eyes "I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go out sometime."
Y/ns face faltered from a smile.
"O-oh." He blushed
"Like I said you don't have to!"
"Lou-"
"And I don't even know why I asked!"
"Lou-"
"And you probably think I'm weird and I get that."
Y/n stood and walked over to me
"Louis!"
"But I was just suggesting. Because I like you and I think you at least don't hate me."
Before I could even apologise y/n leaned down and pressed his lips onto mine.
I stood tense for a moment before relaxing and living what happened.
"You're kissing me." I stated in between kisses
"Yes I am. Do you like it?"
I blushed even harder as he cooed out his words
"Y-yes. Very much so."
"Good." Y/n kissed me once more before backing away.
"Next time we land, expect a picnic." He winked and walked out of his office.
I was left standing in his dark office wondering what just happened and how I got a date.
