"Come on tenn!" I shouted to my little brother figure as we ran through the courtyard. My flannel tied around my waist flew through the wind as my legs carried me.
Tenn chased after and we ran to the wooden house.
I stopped before the cottage and grabbed tenns shoulders.
"Be careful tenn! I overheard the king saying they keep their dragon eggs in here!" I said seriously.
"Wow. When do they hatch?" Tenn asked curiously
"Tonight."
Tenns eyes widened and we slowly creaked open the door and walked in.
I got into the back room and gasped as I saw the golden scaled eggs.
I picked one up and gave it to tenn.
"Come on! Let's get out of here before the kingsmen see us!"
We ran out with the eggs in our arms and we booked it back to our safe house.
We ran inside and set the eggs down.
"What did you catch today?" Louis asked rounding the corner in his crown.
"Two dragon eggs."
"Ha!" He laughed stoutly.
"What? Is our thieving business funny to you?" Tenn snapped.
"Not at all! You two make me roll around in gold! It's just funny to me how my fathers council didn't catch you two stealing their most precious artefacts!"
We smirked and handed him the two eggs.
"Here you go. Your payment." He handed us a bag of gold each and we walked out of the safe house.
"Mission success!" I high fived tenn and then we took our costumes off.
"That was fun!" Tenn said as he put the pieces of old clothing into our box.
"It was! No go play with Aj. Dinner will be ready soon."
He was sent off and I walked over to the fire to help Louis with getting dinner ready.
"Almost ready?" I pipe up.
"Yeah." Louis said taking the pot off of the fire.
I looked behind me to see tenn laughing with aj as they played tag.
"Ya know. It's nice that you still play imaginary games with him." Louis speaks.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yeah. It's gives him a way to connect with someone older then him."
"I guess." I shrug.
"You have a pretty wild imagination yourself." He said poking me in the ribs.
I laughed and squirmed from his touch.
"You aren't so bad yourself." I smiled.
"I do the best I can to help." He quirked his head and served some bowls to the table.
"Okay kids! Dinner is ready."
We all sat down and ate and tenn told aj the story of our adventures today.
"And then Louis payed us a HUGE bag of gold!"
Aj was wide eyed.
"I wanna play!" He cried.
"Of course you can play with us! But you have to come up with your character!"
I smiled at the two as they talked happily
After dinner they ran off and everyone else did their thing.
"How about you?" Louis said coming up to me.
"What about me?" I asked.
"If you could finish our game, how would you finish it?" He folded his arms.
I hummed as I thought and then opened my mouth to answer him.
"I think.... the thieves would get a new recruit and then they'd finally get caught saving the newbies life. The thieves would be sitting in the jail until the only female thief got sick. Then the prince would beg to release them. The king would pass the pardon and they'd be released. The female thief would be taken care of by the prince until she is better. Then when she's better she realises she is in love with the prince."
Louis grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him.
"That's fine with me." He smirked.
"Louis!" I said appalled.
"Kiss me my thief."
"Why should i?"
"It's your punishment."
"What did I do?"
"You stole from me."
"Stole what?"
"My heart."
He pulled me in by the front of my shirt and pressed his lips to mine.
