The next week was leading up to today, friday... I think. I was supposed to go on my first hunt with Louis today. I was slightly nervous but there was nothing to be nervous about. I sighed heavily and shook my hands out to relieve some tension.
"You'll be okay. There's no danger out there. It's just some dumb walkers. And you got me with you. You'll be okay."
I nodded, letting him know that I heard him and the gates opened. I grabbed the bigger gun shakily and walked out behind him.
It was actually very peaceful. We were still in the safe zone and it was quiet. We collected what we got from the traps and my heart rate went down when I realized I was okay.
"Feeling better?" Louis asked as he walked to me with a couple rabbits slung over his shoulder.
"Definitely. I don't know why I was so scared. It's so quiet."
"Right? It's amazing! It's like a safe space! No one could ever get hurt h-"
Louis was cut off by a gunshot and an immediate pain. Louis got shot. 
He screamed out in pain and I froze.
Holy shit what do I do?
"Louis??" I ask shaking.
"I'm okay! I'm okay! Get me back to the school!"
I helped him hobble quickly and gunshots still rang.
"Louis! Come on don't give up." I could feel his grip on me loosen.
"No louis! Stay awake."
He started to slide from my grasp and to the floor.
"Louis! Louis! Come on! Stand!"
He tried to fight but he let out a whimper as he laid on the floor.
I looked down to see a lot of blood dripping down his leg and looking on the grass below him. My heart raced and my breathing intensified. He was dying and I was panicking. I was going to lose him.
"Help!" I screamed. I knelt next to Louis and propped his head up on my lap.
I field the gun in my hand just in case and looked at him.
"Don't Louis! Stay awake."
"I-I'm gonna... I'm gonna pass out."
"N-no louis! Louis!"
Louis started to relax his body and his eyes fluttered closed. His body relaxed. I made sure he was still breathing and he was. He was just passed out. That reassured me just a little bit but then it was taken away when another gunshot fired but it sounded different than the one that struck fear into me when Louis went down.
I looked around with my gun out and saw Clem and Aj.
"Clem! Help! It's Louis!"
She looked over and saw Louis out cold with blood around him.
"Guys! We have a F.I.P.!"
"Who??!" A smaller voice rang.
"Louis! Two men on him! Get him back to the school! Get ruby! He's shot!"
Two guys came and lifted Louis off to the school. I looked at Clem who needed help so I decided to stay out. I looked and saw a person aiming at her. I aimed at him and made a direct hit. He screamed and fell to the floor.
"Come on! We need to fall back!" Clem shouted and all of the kids ran from their hiding space and went back to the school.

I sat in my room and waited for an answer. From the door there was a knock and ruby came in.
"You're alright. You were pretty fierce out there."
"What's an F.I.P.?"
"Fighter in peril."
"How's Louis?"
"He'll be just fine. He's awake now. You can go see him if you want." I got up quickly and walked to the nurses office.
I saw Louis laying down and I walked over to him.
"Hey. You look good." He smiled.
"I'm okay. You look good too."
"Well it's not every day you get shot by a mystery psycho and live through it."
"If anyone was to live it's you." I giggled.
"Well thank you for the confidence. I appreciate it." I lifted my hand it his cheek and I rubbed it with the pad of my thumb. He looked at me tenders and I looked at him the same.
I softly smiled at him and he placed his hand over mine. He kissed my hand so softly and quietly that I don't know if it actually happened or not.
"So what's your plan?" I asked removing my hand.
"Well, I gotta stay here for about a week. Absolute bed rest and such. What about you?"
I looked down and denied the thought.
"What is it?"
"I-I um... I'm leaving."
