Chapter 1
Ciel's PoV
"Where are we?" I asked as I looked around at what was around me.
I was shocked and horrified. There was blood on the ground, on windows, on almost everything! What the hell happened here?
"It seems to be we're here in the world of the living dead. We should get moving if we want to find Elizabeth and go back to our own world. Are you able to walk Master?" Sebastian said as he looked around cautiously.
"Uh, yeah. I can." I said standing on my own two feet holding the book that most likely got us here tighter in my arms. "Where do we go from here?" I asked.
"Hmm..." Sebastian hummed thoughtfully.
"If what the Undertaker said was true, about the zombies being able to kill us, then we should probably get to high ground. Unfortunately, I can't jump up because it is far too high so we'll have to travel by foot. My apologies Young Master." Sebastian said, laying a hand over his(nonexistentheart) heart and taking a bow.
"I don't care, honestly. As long as Elizabeth is safe from harm, I'm fine with whatever. Now, let's get moving. The faster we get Elizabeth, the faster we can go back home." I said as I began walking in a random direction, making sure not to step in any blood.
Time skip
"Ugh! We've been walking for hours and we haven't even seen another human being!! Plus I'm getting hungry and we still haven't found Elizabeth!!!" I yelled in a bit of anger and frustration.
"But Young Master, we've only walked for half an hour." Sebastian said with a smirk at my complaining.
"Tch whatever-" I got cut off as I tripped over something... Soft... And wet? I looked at what I tripped over and I was horrified. It looked like a human, but it was decaying.
"I-is it.. Alive?" I said as I slowly got up and stepped away from it, until it sprung to life and grabbed onto my ankle.
"AHHHH!!! SEBASTIAN GET THIS BLOODY THING OFF OF ME!!!" I screamed with fear spread across my face as I fell back onto the ground. Sebastian had twisted the creatures neck but it didn't look like it did anything.
"I-it's not dead!" I yelled as Sebastian picked me up in his arms making me grip the book I was holding tighter so I wouldn't drop it. At the corner of my eye, I saw several more zombies coming out their previous hidings.
"Sebastian! Get us out of here!!" I screamed. Sebastian then started running away from the zombies trying to get us to safety.
I saw blood on my ankle. I didn't know if it was mine or the zombie's blood. But the thought of either type of blood on me scared me to hell.
Sebastian grunted in annoyance. He ran to a dead end. "Are we safe?" I said a little scared.
"I think we ar-" He got cut off when we heard the grunts and groans of the other zombies that caught up with us. It was horrific. That were at least 50 zombies. And we don't even know how to kill them, or if we even can. Sebastian stepped in front of me protectively. I closed my eyes not knowing what to do, until I heard.. Hooves?
Just when I opened my eyes, I saw Elizabeth with some other woman on a horse and with a dog. Elizabeth looked... So unladylike.
"Wooohooo!!! Let's get some kills Lizzy!" The strange female yelled enthusiasticly. "Alright!!" Elizabeth said with enthusiasm of her own. It was shocking.
"Elizabeth!!!" I screamed in both shock and worry.
A few months earlier
Bad ass (F/n)'s PoV ;)
I was riding my horse, Mark, with Jack following behind, looking for some supplies that I have ran out of like food, water, and some medicines. I saw a store in the distance and luckily, the coast was clear. I rode Mark over to the front of the store and got off him.
I walked into the store with Jack following behind me. We both carefully walked in between each isle making sure there are no Lurkers(reader calls the zombies either Lurkers or Walkers like in the walking dead) in any isle. I walked over to the food section and saw a box of granola bars and dried fruit bags. I grab all of them and stuffed them into my backpack.
I head over to a different isle and grab two bags of pads for... That time of the month if ya know what I mean. I head over to a broken cooler and to my luck, I see a pack of six untouched water bottles. I then walk over to the pet isle and grab a small bag of dog food and some dog treats. Mark eats grass and hay anyways.
I started thinking where I'll move when I'm done with this city. I'll most likely move to the country side, where I'll hopefully meet some farmers willing to take us in. Or just an abandoned farm would be nice for both Mark and Jack to roam around and for me to grow my own food. If that's even possible in the world we live in now.
I opened a pack of dog treats and turned to Jack. "Hey Jack-A-Boy! Wanna do a trick for your best buddy?" I said enthusiasticly with a wide smile on my face. Jack just looked at me with a 'Wtf' face. I guess he's smarter than he looks... "Alright fine." I said as I threw the treat up and let Jack catch it in his mouth. "Lets go Jackie."
Tiny time skip
I hopped back onto Mark and tapped his side with my foot. He started moving forward and gradually started running in the direction of our temporary home. A few minutes after riding when we were only about half an hour from our 'home', I heard a scream. It sounded like it came from a kid. A kid? In the Apocalypse?
I stopped Mark and headed in the direction of the scream but with some hesitation. It could be a trap... Oh well. Mark ran fast towards where the scream came from with Jack following closely behind. I then saw a girl with bright blonde hair and a pink fluffy dress with a few Lurkers around her. Da fuk?
I quickly hopped off Mark and ran over to a Lurker that grabbed her by her dress. I pulled out my machete and cut the Lurkers head clean off before smashing the machete back down through the Lurker's skull, killing it. I turned around and saw Jack holding a Lurker down and Mark stomping on a Lurker's head with his hooves. I walked over to Jack and quickly stomped on the Lurker's head, smashing it's skull.
I flicked the blood off my machete and slid it back into it's holder. Bleh. I started walking off completely ignoring the person I just saved. I felt something grab onto my ankle. I looked at the person that grabbed me and sighed. She was crying...
"Please...*hic*.. Please don't leave me here. I'm sca-*hic*scared.." She sobbed. I sighed again.
"No can-do princess. I'm not a bodyguard." I said kicking her hand off my ankle and walking off.
"Then teach me! Teach me me how to survive! Please... I don't wanna die.." She said with tears rolling down her face. She said it with desperation. I sighed again. Who could say no to that. Not me.
"Get on the horse." I said hopping on Mark and scooting over to make space for the girl. She tried getting on, but her long dress was in the way. I got off Mark and took out a small pocket knife and made her dress into a short one. She looked sad when she saw the pieces of fluffy fabric fall to the blood stained ground. But it quickly went away. She hopped on Mark and we rode off to my home.
"Hey, kid, What's your name?" I asked not letting my eyes trail off the road Mark was running on. "It's Elizabeth... Elizabeth Midford." I hummed. That's a pretty name. "I'm (F/n), (F/n) (L/n). Nice to meet ya." I said with a tiny bit of enthusiasm.
"It's nice to meet you too... (F/n)..."
To be Continued... Sorry..
(This was actually more than 1300 words but I decided to split it in half because it was too long. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I certainly did. Have a nice day, bai!!)
