Lydia's P.O.V.

Stretching in my bed I slowly get up off of the comfy mattress as my alarm clock continues to kill my ears, slamming my hand over the switch I quickly turn it off before it can wake Hunter up. 

Deciding to surprise the kids with their favorite breakfast I quickly throw on an oversized shirt, put my hair in a bun, and walk over to the kitchen preparing some chocolate chip pancakes for them. I, on the other hand, don't like chocolate in my pancakes, their favorite is the same as Flynn's... Biting my lip I pour the batter into the pan,  before putting on some music singing, and dancing along.

Giggling I flip the pancake in the air, before plating it, 

"A feelin' that you can't fight

Time went by as I pilled pancake on top of the pancake, wanting to surprise him when "I knew I smelt pancakes," Hunter said surprising me, he stood there rubbing his eyes. Vallie soon followed behind him giggling, "I want pancakes!"

Jumping a bit I grab their hands pulling them to dance along with me.

Vallie and Hunter danced along with me smiling and giggling, their laughter was like music to my ears.

Laughing I lift them up spinning around the kitchen enjoying the sound of their giggles before setting them on top of the island pacing their pancakes and milk, "Eat up," I say a little breathless.  He greedily took the plate from my hand digging into his breakfast, smiling I ruffled his hair hearing the doorbell ring, "I will be right back, don't jump off." 

Hunter nodded as I left the kitchen the person at the door was really impatient, "I am coming! Hold on."

Opening the door I come face to face with Harvey and Aunt May sighing I lean against the door, "Hey," She said grabbing the flowers from Harvey, "I just wanted to check on you and the kids."

Clearing my throat I take a deep breath, "Aunt May, I am not mad at you or Harvey." I confirm welcoming inside the house, "Why would I be? I know that you have business with Flynn, and one day or another I would have to face him. The only thing I didn't like was that Hunter was around him for so long and that you didn't notify me that he was coming that day I could have made other arrangements."

Harvey threw his coat on the couch sniffing the air, "Did you make pancakes?"

Rolling my eyes I point towards the kitchen, "Help yourself, Harvey," He skipped into the kitchen winking at me leaving Aunt May with me.

"Dia" She sighed grabbing my hands, "I am sorry, I would have told you but you looked so exhausted in the morning...Flynn, I kept him away from Hunter and Vallie  as far as I could, but they wouldn't listen to me because they were curious about the new face."

My heart dropped,  "What is he doing here in Arizona anyway?"

"Merger, Amora's gang, and his gang have signed a merger but alliances always have to agree upon certain terms, tomorrow Flynn, Luke, and the three of us are going to have a meeting so...Harvey and I thought that maybe you could hold the main office down as we are in the meeting."

"I don't have anyone to look after the kids,"

She gave me a bored look, "You know they are allowed to be there as long as they don't wander off. You said it yourself Dia, one day or another you have to face him and destiny has it...Flynn flew all the way over here back into your life."

"He is not back in my life." I snapped, "Aunt May, I don't want anything to do with him-"

"And I understand that, but Dia...you can't run away from him any longer. Stand strong, look him in the eyes, and show him that the girl he kicked out four years ago in the middle of the night with a baby, doesn't belong to him anymore. That girl changed for the better and isn't in love with him." Aunt May inhaled sharply, "Dia, it is easy to say you don't love someone when they aren't in front of you, but to really close the chapter, you need to look that someone dead in the eyes and tell them you don't love them anymore...that's when you really set yourself free."

Letting out a shattered breath I looked down at my feet, "I hear you," I whisper, "I hear you Aunt May, but it is way easier to say than done."

Aunt May rubbed my arm comfortingly before we walked into the kitchen, "Oh My God!" I exclaim, Harvey and Hunter had spilled syrup all over the counter and Harvey was wiping the syrup with his leftover pancake off the island. "Harvey!" I snap quickly running over I lift Hunter off the island, his legs were covered in it. "Why didn't you call me over?"

Vallie was silently watching what was happening as she was sitting at the far end away from the massive mess that was made.

"I'm sorry," He said with a mouthful, 

Rolling my eyes I usher Hunter towards his bathroom as I cross my arms glaring at Harvey, "Harvey..." I say calmly but he is too busy soaking up the syrup in his pancake, "Harvey!" I snap finally catching his attention, "Stop."

Smirking he shrugged stuffing his face one last time before stepping away from the island. Clearing my throat I grabbed a wet rag and began wiping away the sticky syrup away from the counter, "So," He began licking his fingers, "Are you coming to the office tomorrow?"

Scrubbing some spots I take a minute to respond, "Will the office go into complete chaos if I don't come?"

"Dia..." Harvey said washing his hands at the sink

"Relax, "I cut him off, "I am coming tomorrow down worry."

"Flynn will be there too," He continued, "So please don't blow upon him."

Glaring I shove his shoulder slightly, "Shut up. I don't want anything to do with him anymore. Four years ago he threw me out of the house without realizing how the fuck I am supposed to survive with a year-old baby in my arms. I don't care if he is right in front of me, I don't care if he is here...because he is not the father of my child and I am no one to him. Sure he didn't know that I was pregnant but I still have the right to be mad at him.

Harvey sighed, "Dia,"

"Look who is back and all clean!" Aunt May said carrying Hunter back from the bathroom. Hunter was smiling showing off the big gap between his teeth, "Look, Mommy!" He said showing me his hands, "All clean!"

Chuckling I nodd, "Good boy Dimples but what do we say to Granny for helping?"

Hunter kissed her cheek, "Thank you, Granny,"

Aunt May smiled letting him down, "Your welcome Baby," Hunter ran over to me hugging my leg as Harvey picked up his coat and she grabbed her purse, "We came over here to check up on you  Dia but we actually have to rush over to the office now. Flynn and Luke are probably waiting for us."

Sighing I usher Hunter towards the living room where Vallie was playing with her toys, "Do you need me tomorrow?"

"Yes, and don't worry about Hunter, you know you can bring him along. He can play in your office."

Swallowing harshly I nodd, "See you tomorrow then,"

Aunt May and Harvey smile at us gently before leaving... "Mommy come play!"

I take a deep breath, I didn't want to bring Hunter along...I want him to stay far away from Flynn...maybe if I ask Brayden.  Quickly grabbing my phone I call him, "Hey Bray!"

"Hey Dia," He said panting, I totally forgot about the date with Gina.

"Am I interrupting anything?" I ask leaning against the wall. 

"Um...a little but what's up?"

"Can you take care of Hunter and Vallie for a little while tomorrow I just have to go to the office for a couple of hours?"

"Baby," Gina whined in the back, Brayden took a deep breath, "Yeah just one second Gina, Yeah I can take care of them.  I'll drop him off at the office-"

"No! Not the office." I cut him off, "Come to my apartment, I'll be home by 4"

"Okay, I have to go right now. Call me in the morning before you drop Dimples and Vallie off."

Chuckling I say bye, thank god Bray agreed...As long as Flynn is here I am going to do everything in my power to keep him away from my kids.
