Lydia's Apartment ^^

"That is the last box," I say slumping down on the couch as Harvey set up the T.V. "God, I didn't know that moving took this much energy. 

Harvey chuckled, "Well now you know,"

Hunter was running around in the apartment. There were three rooms, One for me, one for him, and one for a guestroom, there were two bathrooms as well, a living room, and a big kitchen. 

Groaning I got back up, "Hunter," I said giggling, "Let me show you your room baby," He grabbed onto my hand as I covered his eyes, "No peaking!" Taking him to his room I dropped my hand, "You like it?"

"This is awesome Mommy!" He said jumping up on the bed, "This is so cool,"

Giggling I leaned against the door frame watching him enjoy his new room,

"Play around as much as you want baby, but come out in an hour for dinner," I said walking out of the room. 

"Vallie!" he called out, "Come let's go see your room." Chuckling I watch Vallie skip her way towards Hunter's room. 

Sighing I look over at Harvey who is focused on the TV, so I decide not to bother him and walk into my room. It had a very cozy vibe, just what I needed.

I lay down on my bed lazily letting my back relax against the warm mattress, "Knock knock," Harvey said before jumping onto the bed beside me, "The TV is set up, the table is done too, your apartment is officially done."

I smile at him, "Thank you, Harvey,"

He nudged me, "Hey, siblings don't thank each other," 

"Will you stay for dinner?" I ask, but he shook his head, 

"No, Mom called me a couple of minutes ago, she wants me home for some kind of emergency."

I look at him concerned, "Should I come along?"

"No," Harvey said quickly, "It's related to the Demons,"

Rolling my eyes at him I sat up, "Well then, go on. Hunter, Vallie, and I have to get used to eating alone anyway."

He sat up quickly giving me a tight hug, "I'll see you later," Harvey gave my forehead a light kiss before leaving the apartment.  Hunter came into my room, not a second later, 

"Did Uncle Harvey leave already?" He asked disappointed, "Vallie and I were going to show the secret door we found between our rooms."

Plastering a smile on my face I pick him up before heading out of the room, "Yes, but why don't we call Aunt Cassie? And Blue?"

Hunter shook his head, "I'm hungry mommy,"

Vallie came running out of her room holding onto her teddy bear, "Me too Momma,"

"What would my little prince  and princess like to eat?"

"Mhm," He pretends to think, "Pasta!" 

"Yeah!'

Chuckling I take out some noodles, "Pasta it is then"

About thirty minutes later I put in front of them steaming pasta "Can I go to Granny's house tomorrow?"

"Yep," I said sitting down beside them

"Mommy, why can't we stay at Granny's house?" Vallie asked a little sad

Taking a deep breath I turned Hunter around so he was facing me grabbing his fork I began to feed him, "Because we can't always depend on Granny and Papa, can we? Every day, we will go visit them, but this is our new home. This is where we will stay now."

"Mommy, where is my daddy?" Hunter asked innocently. It was an innocent question, but this is the question I have been dreading for the past four years, biting my lip I looked away from him, "Everyone has a daddy, even Blue, where is ours?"

Clearing my throat I put his plate down, "Dimples and Vallie both of you need to listen to me carefully now okay?"

They nodded with the most innocent look on their face, "Your daddy...he-" What am I supposed to say? Should I say he's dead? Or should I say he's busy? What should I say? "Your daddy loves you...but sometimes love isn't enough baby. To protect you, your daddy needs to work and his work is far away from us."

"But why,"

 "He will come, and when he comes will be very proud of you. But for now, he is working far away."

"But how will I know when he comes Momma?"

"I will tell you,"

"Promise?"

Swallowing harshly I nodd, "I promise,"

I am so sorry Hunter and Vallie, this is the one promise I can't fulfill, I can't let you meet your father, and as long as I am alive, I won't let him hurt you either. 

Pulling away from our hug I quickly wipe my tears away before lifting up their plate, "Now finish this up quickly, and then we will watch a movie."

"What one?" He asked taking a bite, 

"Mhm, how about Lilo and Stich?"

"No, Lion King?" Vallie said 

Smiling I take a bit of my own food, "Lion King it is,"

Flynn's P.O.V

"The meeting is set up for this Friday, get your bags packed," Brazen said roughly leaning against my bedroom door as I chugged back half a bottle of vodka, "Flynn!"

"Yeah, I got it." I snapped, "I'm not deaf, I heard you the first time."

Brazen sighed, "Fine," He was about to leave but he stopped in his tracks, "This pain, this anger that you carry around with you all the time now Flynn, no one gave it to you. All of this, what you have become is your fucking doing, maybe if you thought about what the fuck you were doing when you kicked her out along with Hunter you wouldn't be a fucking alcoholic, but who am I to say anything right?" As he saw that I was ignoring him Brazen came over and smashed the bottle I was holding on the ground, "Amora was gone for six years and you never turned to alcohol or cigarettes...Lydia and Hunter have been gone for four years and every night you turn to alcohol, I find a pile of cigarettes on the floor in the morning, why did their leaving hurt more than Amora's leaving? Have you ever asked that question to yourself, has your heart never asked you that fucking question?!"

Clenching my jaw I looked out the window lighting my fourth cig of the night, "No," I mumbled as I blew out the lethal smoke in the air, "No I fucking haven't, and I would appreciate it if everyone got off my motherfucking ass about this shit. Do you think I don't know that everyone is still in touch with her? I know...but I never said anything about that.-"

"She was my mother too," Brazen snapped, "Did you forget that I came before you? Asia Raina Cloud was my mother too. But if I was in your place-"

"That's the thing-"

"If I was in your place!" He raised his voice, "I would have never done what you did Flynn, for years I have protected you from everyone who said that Flynn Cloud doesn't have a heart, I fought saying that no, my brother does, he's a human, he hurts...but now, if anyone said that now I would agree with them. I would say that Flynn Ares Cloud doesn't have a heart."

"What do you want from me Brazen?" I ask exhausted pretending as if his words didn't hurt me, but the truth was that every word, every taunt stung...I did have a heart, but ever since part of it left, it's like it's not there anymore. 

"Nothing," He whispered sounding tired as well, "As I said, the meeting with Luke Shelby has been set up for this Friday, pack your shit. Majesty and Noah have been grateful enough to give you space in their homes, don't be an asshole." With that, he stormed out of the room slamming the door shut behind him. 

Angrily I grab another bottle from beside me throwing it on the floor, "Fuck!" I scream, 

"I would say that Flynn Ares Cloud, doesn't have a heart."  His words echoed in my ears, I do have a heart, but it is so damaged that it's forgotten how to work, it's been broken, stepped on so many times that it refuses to answer anything I ask it...I do have a heart...

I fall to the ground crying, "I do have a heart," I whisper into the abyss, "I do have a heart..."
