Lydia's P.O.V

Ringing Brayden's doorbell I wait for him to open the door picking Vallie up in my arms and holding Hunter's hand as he had his and her bag around his small body. A couple of seconds later Brayden opens the door shirtless...with lipstick marks everywhere giggling I tilt my head to the side, "Have a good night?"

He shook his head groaning, "Shut up Dia,"

Hunter smiled at him, "Bray, boys don't wear makeup." He leaned down grabbing him out of my arms, "Why are you wearing make-up?"

"Trust me bud, isn't my choice," Bray said wincing a little taking Vallie out of my arms.

I lean against the door, "Where is Giana? And why do you look so miserable?"

Bray sighed, "She left at like six in the morning because her shift started at 7, and the date went fine and the night went by really well but she fucked up my back."

Raising an eyebrow I shrugged, He turned around with Vallie in his arms gasping I covered my mouth, "Did she not cut her nails? Holy shit Bray." Gina had totally fucked up his back with her nails... "Let me put something on that."

"No," He said quickly, "She already did, she was really embarrassed in the morning so she applied the ointment on. You head over to the office, I know that there's some big meeting or something at least that's what Harvey told me. I got this cutie for the day and I'll drop him off at your house at 4."

Smiling gratefully at him I kiss Vallie on the cheek gently before pushing Hunter towards him, "Thank you for today,"

"Bye momma," Hunter and Vallie said waving me goodbye.

Inhaling sharply I wave them goodbye before getting into my car and driving over to the office. I was dreading the meeting, Luke and I don't exactly get along he always gave me really bad vibes. I don't know why exactly but Uncle Noah and Aunt May say that he is trustworthy. I don't think he likes me either because he knows my whole fucking life story because 'there are no secrets between family,' as Uncle Noah likes to say. Quickly parking my car underground I make my way upstairs into the building, 

Remember Lydia, stay professional and don't let him think that he has any importance in your life anymore. Taking a deep breath I force a smile on my face as I walk into the board room where the rest of the family is including Luke. 

"Nice of you to show up on time for once," Luke said snarkily, clenching my jaw I small the file down in front of him that he asked for, 

"Watch your tone, Luke," I snapped, "I am here on request of the family if I had known you were going to be here I would have never come."

He glared at me crossing his arms, "Lydia Cloud,"

"Jackson," I cut him off, "My last name is Jackson, not Cloud and it never will be,"

"Okay!" Harvey said trying to calm the situation down, "Luke, shut up and Dia please calm down. I think we all know here that you two don't get along but we need to stay professional."

"Whatever," I grumble leaning back in the chair, "I'm going to my office, call me down when they are here. I can't fucking stand him."

"Dia!" Aunt May called behind me but I didn't listen, I needed to get away from him. Luke and I hated each other right away people fell in love at first sight, and we started to hate each other at first sight. 

Storming into my office I slam the door shut locking it but not before telling the assistant outside to notify me when Flynn Cloud comes into the building. Inhaling deeply I sit down in my chair before pouring myself a glass of water... shutting my eyes. 

"You look so sexy when you're mad Luna," Flynn said quietly brushing his fingers against my cheek gently, my eyes snapped open in shock my heart skipped a beat. "I forgot what a turn-on it was."

"W-What?" I whispered his touch against my face and my waist was scorching my skin clearing my throat I pushed him away alittle, "What are you doing here? How did you get in my office?!"

"Shh," Flynn hushed me leaning down again his eyes were locked on my lips, "Don't yell, if you yell then our little moment will be ruined."

Inhaling sharply I shake my head, "There will be no moment, we are not having a moment."

He smirked leaning down more but I quickly ducked underneath his arm, he went ninja on me dropping himself on my chair that I was previously sitting on and pulling me down on his lap so my legs were on either side of him, "Let go!" I struggled not wanting to give in to him...or his touch.

Flynn grabbed onto my arms that were trying to beat his chest  and wrapped them around his neck as he slid around my waist leaning up, "I don't think you want me to..." He whispered his hands slowly beginning to move around my body sending shivers down my back, "I think you want me to hold on to you...something I should have done a long time ago."

Biting my lips I began to melt in his arms, "Do you regret it?"

"All the time baby..." He smiled at me sadly, "But my anger and my ego didn't let me come after you...or let me try to find you and Hunter. I regret throwing you out of my life."

Letting out a shaky breath I lean down gently pecking his lips we moaned against each other's lips as soon as they touched...his hands went down to my waist slowly trailing towards my butt as mine began to wonder into his hair, our kiss stayed gentle and slow, letting each other savor this moment. Flynn gently let go of my lips pecking them before giving me a mischievous look, "Now how about we revive some memories?" 

My eyes widened as his words set in I tried to jump out of his arms but it was too late, "Flynn, no!"

"Ma'am?" My assistant said knocking harder on my door, "Ma'am?! Mr. Cloud has arrived, Mr. Jackson has called you down." 

Gasping I open my eyes spilling my water on the floor a little, "Ma'am?"

"I-I am coming!" I say with a shaky voice, "Tell them I'll be right there." 

"Yes Ma'am," She said 

I drink the rest of the water in the glass greedily shaking my head I try to calm my heart rate down.  Why the hell do his memories still haunt me? It has been four fucking years and I still remember how his touch felt against my skin. Groaning out of frustration I quickly unlock the door speed walking towards the boardroom, taking a deep breath I relax my posture before wandering in. "There she is." Aunt May said giving me a reassuring smile, Flynn turned to look at me giving me a blank look as I rewarded him with one myself. 

Clearing my throat I sat beside Harvey across from him, "Let's begin?" I say avoiding eye contact with him. 

Flynn clenched his jaw before sliding a file towards me, "This is the offer,"

Taking the file I look over it, "You flew all the way over here for this? This is a simple merger, even Luke could handle this if you just sent it over."

"Actually Lydia," Luke cut in, "I  called him over here to Arizona, I thought the offer was a little low to match the Jackson-Shelby Firm."

Glaring at him I throw the file over at him, "This is a perfectly reasonable offer, Luke. You are wasting everyone's time here."

He smirked, "See I thought you would say that since it is your ex's company and protection at stake right?"

"Stay in your limits, Luke." I snapped, "Uncle Noah,"

Noah sighed, "May, Harvey, and I are fine with the offer Dia, just Luke isn't."

Luke tilted his head to the side a little, "I just think for our protection they should offer a little more than just 8 percent of their stocks."

"Eight percent is enough," I sigh, "They aren't asking for anything more,"

Flynn kept silent watching us go back and forth. This merger was perfectly fine Luke just liked to be a shit disturber. "How does it feel to see Flynn again?"

"Luke," I say firmly, "Shut up."

Harvey sighed, "So Flynn, Amora's gang is deciding to merge with yours why now? It's been four years since all of that happened."

Flynn inhaled sharply at the mention of his actions, "I wasn't really running the Knights the first two years, I just got into everything about two years ago because I...I needed a break. Amora was in alliance with Arlo, Logan, and Landon but now she said they were starting to get out of hand. My gang and the Demons are the two powerful ones so...so she is trying to slip out of their grip and into ours."

"Why weren't you running the Knights?" Luke asked faking curiosity, clenching my jaw I grip my pen. 

Clearing my throat, "I don't see how that's any of your business Luke, let's just focus on the task on hand."

Flynn looked over at me, "As I said, I just needed a break. I have been running it since I was 16 and now I'm 28. Running a gang takes a lot Luke not expecting you to understand."

Uncle Noah took a sip of his coffee, "So is the merger accepted?"

"Eight percent of shares for protection?" Luke said, "Sure. Offer accepted, come by in two to three days and I'll have the papers ready."

Fianlly I thought I was about to stand up along with the others but Luke decided to open his mouth. 

"Wow," He said amused, "I just thought that if I brought two broken hearts together in one room everything will be fine! But instead, the two broken-hearted individuals didn't even look at each other let alone speak."

So that was his plan...this merger was completely fair but no...he decided to call Flynn all the way down to Arizona to hurt me. 

That was it. Grabbing a glass of water sitting in front of me I splash it all over him, Luke gasped standing up, glaring at me. "What the fu-"

"I!" I hissed angrily  "Have told you to stay in your fucking lane so many fucking times over these four years. I have sat here listening to your taunts and insults without a bloody problem but today Luke, you have lost all of my respect for you. You were okay with this deal, this merger but all you fucking needed was a reason to hurt me all because I accidentally told your girlfriend that you were cheating on her! I was being a decent human you fucking asshole! I am sorry that you're such a piece of shit."

"Let's just calm down!" Uncle Noah said but Aunt May pulled him back down, 

"I am Luke Shelby," He said firmly, "I don't take disrespect well."

"And I am Lydia Jackson, I don't  let little pricks disrespect me either."
