This was going to end very badly.

Once we'd picked out his outfit, I stayed around to talk. It wasn't like I had anything better to do.

"So, this Eric guy? First boyfriend?"

"Only boyfriend."

He looked puzzled, as if there was no possibility that I could only have had one man.

"Not interested in dating?"

"I want to keep men off my mind," I told him, "Studies are more important right now and my nerdiness, of course. Reading, gaming, watching all those sci-fi movies you seem to like to make fun of."

Jagger scoffed, "I like Star Wars."

"In what order?"

Jagger rolled his eyes, "Shit, you're one of THOSE types of nerds? I can't keep up."

I smirked, "Good."

Feisty minx.

I had my work cut out for me.

Eh, I wasn't too worried. I'd get her in the sack, another notch in my belt and she could tell all of her friends that she scored with the top quarterback the school had ever seen..

"I'm not letting you in my pants, Jagger, so stop fantasizing about me."

"Jesus, woman, can I visualize this or nah?"

"I'm in your bed right now and I don't plan on making bacon with you, jock strap."

"Plans change, nerd turd."

She rolled her eyes and shook that pretty head of hers.

"Your biggest comeback is nerd turd? Wow, Jagger, how original."

Julia

"Well, I'm gonna go," I said,"Come and get me when you wanna go to this silly party."

He stepped in front of me and held out his arm,"Eric could be lurking."

"Then what do you expect me to do? Hide in here the rest of my life... with you?"

"If only I could have a sex slave..."

"You're trying to get under my skin."

"I want to get underneath your body."

"Jagger..."

"Julia..."

"You're the most perverted reptile I've ever met in my life."

"Are you into that? I kinda coined you as a furry type of gal."

"You're disgusting."

He chuckled, but then his face turned serious.

"I might be disgusting, but I'm not going to hurt you."

"Sure. Add that charm so I'll sleep with you."

"Is it working?"

"Do I look naked?"

We ended up being late to the party, but no one seemed to care except for Moose.

"I knew you'd come back with him!"

Moose announced, ogling my date as we entered the kitchen. I don't know why it irritated me that he was looking at her like that, but I wasn't pleased.

"Wanna beer?" I asked her when we were alone.

"So you can spike it?"

I pretended to be hurt.

"I never need to spike someone's drink. Women flock to me."

"Yes, I see the pigeons coming now."

Two of the young ladies on our football team's cheerleading squad came bustling towards to fawn all over

me.

I didn't even get a slight look of jealousy from Julia but her face was filled with disdain.

It wasn't the emotion I was going for. .

"Stephanie.. Paula.." I tried to turn the charm on, but for some reason, it didn't feel right.

Like I was cheating on Julia.

That was completely absurd though.

Julia

Ugh, I just wanted to go home and curl up with a good book or a retro Star Trek marathon.

It didn't help when Moose made an appearance. That seemed to egg Jagger on even more.

I knew Jagger was a showoff, but I was highly disappointed when he was also a sucker to those around him.

The beefier jock eyed me up and down, probably wondering why I was there with his best friend.

"So, are all of you nerds hot underneath all of that weirdo exterior?"

"Moose, considering I'm pretty sure your IQ is lower than the steps it took you to get in here, I'd watch my mouth."

Moose was unfazed. He laughed heartily, but I noticed Jagger wasn't as jolly as he'd been when we first arrived.

Good thing he had Paula and Stephanie to entertain him.

I eyed him when he wasn't looking, this god of a man. I'd heard the stories, I knew the rumors about his bedroom antics.

I was fooling myself if I thought I was going to get out of this alive.

Jagger

She was a smartass, but I admired that. Moose was hitting on her and even though he was my friend, I couldn't stand it.

It took everything in my power not to clobber him into oblivion.

Nothing like the unwarranted tinge of betrayal that crept up my spine when Julia seemed to give in to Moose's antics and head into the other room with him.

What the hell?

I pushed passed the crowd in the kitchen, leaving the two women behind and found Moose and Julia settled in on a sofa in the den.

"What the fuck is this?" I asked before considering my actions.

"What?" She asked, "I just wanted to sit down."

I believed her, but I saw the look on Moose's face. He wanted her and would have her if he turned on the teddy bear charm.

"Julia, let's get outta here and head to the other party."

I leaned over and took her hand which surprised me that she accepted and let me raise her from the couch.

"Another party? Where?" She asked as Moose flipped me the bird as we walked off.

"A private party. You won't regret it. "
