"JULIA?! JULIA?!"

I was screaming like a wayward banshee into the phone while Zoey and Moose took care of the packages.

"What is it??" Zoey was asking, but I was running for the science building before either one of them could comprehend.

"Get the fuck out of my way!"

Not that I had to shout that a lot...most people knew better than to stand in my way.

"Where is she?!!"

My voice boomed through the building, leading people to gasp or push against the wall.

"Julia?!!"

I watched as Cody cradled her, checking her head and looking down at her stomach without being too obvious.

"Someone pushed her!" Cody said, "There's no way she fell on her own accord."

"Where were you?" I knelt down beside her as two campus guards came to our aid, calling in a stretcher for Julia, "Did you see it happen?"

"I saw her fall," Cody said, "I didn't see who did it, but Eric has a class here earlier."

"Julia.."

She moaned into me, a bruise on her head already forming.

We got her out of the building and across campus to the infirmary with Cody staying the whole time.

"Make sure you know if Eric was there," I said, "Go tell Moose and the others."

Cody made no haste. He left us right away as I held Julia's hand, watching the nurses check her vitals and her head injury.

Except for some bruising, she seemed fine.

"She's pregnant," I blurted out to nurse Lou, "But if you tell my father, I will end you."

Julia

"Jagger.." I mumbled, "Don't..."

Lou seemed to understand and took to taking care of me even more intensely.

"Everything seems fine," she said, "How far along are you?"

"Almost nine weeks."

Lou looked to Jagger who was only focused on me and sneering at Lou.

"We appreciate it if you don't tell anyone," I said, "Please?"

Lou smiled, "I can't even if I wanted to."

"Yeah, well, my father can be very persuasive."

Lou nodded, "I am aware of who your father is, Mr. Hayes. I will not say anything."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was I in danger?

"Do you see who pushed you?"

"No," I said, "I just thought it was the crowd surging."

"I doubt it," Jagger said, "I will find out if this was deliberate."

"I would suggest taking her to the ER or making an appointment for her OBGYN to get checked," Lou said, "But I see nothing wrong except for some bruising. I would say take a rest for the rest of the day, though."

I sighed, "I understand that, but I have to go to class."

"Just for today," Lou said, "And get that,-"

"We have an appointment in fifteen minutes," Jagger interrupted, "I'll get the car."

Before I knew it, we were visiting Nurse Jaye again and finding out that all was well with the baby.

"You took quite a tumble."

Jagger scowled—his face telling me that he would kill anyone that hurt me or our baby.

"I bet next time we'll be able to find out what you're having," Jaye smiled, "Sugars are doing well?"

"Next time.." Jagger grinned, "Do you want to know?"

He stroked my cheek as I held his hand, "I do..I think..."

Jagger nodded, "Yes, that's what we'll do then. I can't wait to work on the nursery."

"We have to find a house first," I giggled, "Unless...you like the one we looked at?"

Jagger paid the bill and we headed off, but not in the direction of campus.

"Jagger, where,-"

"That house we looked at online," he said, "I managed to get a hold of the realtor and we can look at it today."

"Really?" I smiled, "I didn't know..I didn't.."

He didn't say anything. We were both scared—scared for our baby..scared for each other.

"Right after we see it, we can get back to campus so I can get to practice and you can set up our movie night," he placed a hand on my thigh, something he loved doing when we drove around, "I really hope this is the one. I can't stand looking at houses."

"Why?"

"It just feels like I'm getting into someone's business.." he said, "However, this is almost empty. Even though it was a family home, only one person lived in it and all of their stuff is gone, according to the realtor."

"Maybe we can make some memories there."

"Oh, sugar, I know we'll make some memories there."

Jagger

"It was Eric," Cody texted, "He was the only one in the building that could have had anything against the two of you, "However, I can't be sure and SURPRISE SURPRISE the cameras aren't working."

My blood was boiling as we walked through the house with Marcus who was the best at catering to the needs of his clients.

"And this is the master bedroom.."

"Oh, where all the magic is going to happen," I wiggled my eyebrows at Julia who rolled her eyes.

"I think we have had a lot of magical times, spice," she looked down at her stomach, "And everyone's eventually going to know."

"I love this bathroom," I said, "Garden tub. Do you want a home birth?"

Julia smiled, "I haven't thought about it. I've heard you can make a plan all day long, but expect the unexpected."

I was also reading every pregnancy book I could find, all of the labor and birthing books, finding hospitals, doulas, midwives...

Moose kept taunting me as if I wouldn't make him the godfather.

"Jagger, I like this house so much and I LOVE the backyard," Julia said, glancing out the back window of what would be our bedroom, "But this.."

She pulled me along as we went to the room next to ours, "Our nursery."

I smiled, "I can put shelves in here. We can put the crib over there...but a bassinet in our room. This closet is as big as ours."

Julia laughed, "Well, you've bought out the baby stores, Jagger. Peppercorn is going to need all the space they can get. What theme do you want? Oh my gosh! What about underwater.."

She kept talking and I couldn't help but admire her and it truly hit me that Julia Bennett was going to be the mother of my first born child.

It was perfect, she was perfect, our baby would be perfect.

I looked at Marcus and stuck out my hand, "We'll take it."
