Chapter Three
This chapter does get a bit mature. I did not write the whole thing but I will still mark where it starts/ends.

As the gang walked through the populated streets of the town, they couldn't help but stare in awe at all the lights and decorations. Walking over to the designated meeting spot they were greeted by Heather and Bodhi, who had just finished their lifeguard duties for the day. Heather beamed at her friends, excited for the night ahead.
"Hey, everyone! Ready for the concert?" Heather asked, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
The group nodded in unison, exchanging smiles and discussing their expectations for the open-air concert. Bodhi joined the conversation, sharing his anticipation for the music and the lively atmosphere.
As they walked toward the market square, the sound of distant music grew louder, adding to the festive ambiance of the town. The market square was alive with people, colorful lights, and the aroma of various street foods. The stage was set up, and a local band was tuning their instruments, creating an air of anticipation.
The friends found a spot to settle down, arranging themselves on a blanket they had brought along. Heather and Bodhi joined the group, the energy of the crowd was contagious. They chatted, laughed, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere as the concert began.
The local band played a mix of upbeat tunes and mellow melodies, creating a diverse and enjoyable playlist. The crowd swayed and danced to the music, and the friends couldn't help but join in the fun.
As the night progressed, the group took turns getting snacks from the food stalls and trying out various treats like churros, cotton candy, and savory snacks. Heather and Bodhi, still in their lifeguard uniforms, added a touch of uniqueness to the group, drawing curious glances from passersby.
During one of the set changes, the group had found a table to sit at and enjoy their food. The colorful lights illuminated the night sky as the friends savored their treats, discussing their favorite moments of the concert so far.
"Hey if you guys are looking for something to do tomorrow there's this ferry company that takes people around the island. They go all day but if you're trying to get good pictures you should definitely go just after sunrise. Pulse there's hardly anyone else so you can probably get a boat to yourselves," Bodhi commented, pulling out his phone to show some of the pictures he had gotten from the ferry trip.
All the while Ruffnut and Snotlout had started a silent composition to see who could turn the other on fastest. It hadn't started that way. Ruffnut had just rubbed her foot against Snotlout's leg as a sign of admiration. He had then placed his hand on her thigh and things started escalating.
As much as Ruffnut wanted to focus on the conversation Snotlout's hand rubbing against her thigh was making it near impossible.
"Well tonight has been awesome but, uhm, I'm exhausted so Snot and I are going to head back to the hotel," Ruffnut said abruptly standing up from the table, her face tinged with pink. Snotlout leisurely followed her, a satisfied grin on his face. He had no idea it would be that easy to get what he wanted.

When the two made it back to their room Ruffnut slammed the door, standing in the entryway trying to compose herself. Damn, why had she been so easy? She had wanted to make him fight for this but her stupid hormones had other plans.
"So are you just going to stand there all night or do I actually get to enjoy having my girlfriend to myself," Snotlout asked, a hint of smugness in his voice. Ruffnut took a deep breath before turning around and pulling Snotlout into a passionate kiss.
"About time, I was starting to think I would have to resort to extreme lengths," Snotlout whispered grabbing hold of the ties that held Ruffnut's shirt in place. Tugging on the string, he watched as her shirt fell loose exposing her bare chest.
Taking a moment to completely remove her shirt, Ruffnut couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of what Tuffnut would do if he found out what was happening. Shaking her head and returning her thought to the present she gently pushed a now shirtless Snotlout onto the bed and began leaving kisses along his body.
The night continued as such, the two fully impressed in the pleasure of each other. The outside world and their friends temporarily forgotten. The only thing that mattered to either of them was that moment and the love that they felt.

The next morning as everyone sat in the lobby of the hotel sipping their coffee and chatting Astrid approached Ruffnut with a knowing smile. "So did you have fun last night?"
Ruffnut brushed a strand of blonde hair out of her face smiling despite the massive blush on her face. "Well you know it wasn't awful." Astrid let out a small laugh, silently enjoying the rare occasion of flustering one of the twins.
Astrid took a sip of her coffee, maintaining her amused expression. "Oh, come on, Ruffnut. You can't just leave it at 'wasn't awful.' It was Snotlout, and even if is a pain in the butt I can't deny that he is attractive.
Ruffnut rolled her eyes playfully, trying to downplay her reaction. "Okay, enough about what I may or may not have done with Snotlout. What happened between Heather and Bodhi, I saw the way she was looking at him."
"Well, our dear friend Heather has got herself a date. It was honestly really cute the way he asked her out, I wish you had been there to see," Astrid reported, her tough exterior falling ever so slightly to reveal her more romantic side.
Ruffnut raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A date, huh? Well, spill the details. How did Bodhi manage to sweep Heather off her feet?"
Astrid chuckled, enjoying the opportunity to share some gossip. "He had requested the band to play her favorite song and then he got on stage with a bouquet of roses and asked if she would go to the carnival with him."
Ruffnut grinned, finding the romantic gesture amusing. "Seriously? Bodhi went all out with the roses and a public performance? Smooth move. Heather must have been over the moon."
Astrid nodded, still sipping her coffee. "Oh, she was definitely surprised, but in a good way. She couldn't stop blushing. I think it caught her completely off guard."
Ruffnut chuckled, leaning against the back of the couch. "Well good for her, she deserves someone willing to go the extra mile just for her."
Astrid agreed with a smile, appreciating the softer side of their usually chaotic and stressful lives. "Absolutely. It's nice to see our friends finding happiness, speaking of, has Tuffnut found anyone yet? I know he keeps saying he's waiting for the right person but he's been waiting since the beginning of high school."
Ruffnut shook her head, a playful smirk on her face. "No luck for Tuffnut yet. He's still holding out for that perfect, mythical creature of a girl. I told him he might be waiting forever with those standards."
Astrid laughed, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, he's got to lower his expectations a bit. I mean, come on, we're not living in a fairy tale."
Ruffnut grinned. "Exactly. I've told him he's got to be a bit more realistic, but you know Tuffnut, always the stubborn one."
Astrid chuckled. "Well, maybe someday he'll realize that his perfect match might not be exactly what he's imagining."
"Now this is a rare sight, the two of you gossiping. I thought I'd never see the day" Hiccup joked sitting down next to Astrid, his arm resting on her shoulders.
Astrid and Ruffnut exchanged amused glances before Ruffnut shrugged. "Hey, even badass girls need a break from being awesome to indulge in a bit of gossip now and then."
Hiccup chuckled, giving Astrid a playful squeeze. "I can't blame you. Gossip can be oddly entertaining. Just don't forget that others do deserve a bit of privacy in their lives."
Astrid smirked, giving Hiccup a playful nudge. "Oh, we're just harmless gossipers. No one's secrets are safe with us."
Ruffnut added with a mischievous grin, "Besides, it's all in good fun. We're just making sure everyone's love lives are running smoothly."
Hiccup rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his coffee. "Well, just remember, what goes around comes around. You might find yourselves the center of gossip one day."
Astrid laughed, leaning into Hiccup. "Oh, please. We're practically the definition of relationship goals. What could anyone possibly gossip about?"
Ruffnut chimed in, "Well, maybe they'll speculate about what you do behind closed doors. We already know you're not innocent."
"Are you three coming or not, we're going to be late" Snotlout yelled to the trio urging them to get a move on so that they didn't miss the ferry.
The trio exchanged amused glances before Astrid grinned and stood up. "Alright, alright, no need to rush us. We're coming."
As they joined the others, the banter continued, and the group headed out for another day of adventures, leaving the hotel lobby behind.
As they walked out to the van, the group found the others already gathered, preparing for the day's activities. The sound of seagulls echoed in the air, and the salty breeze from the ocean added a refreshing touch to the morning.
Snotlout, tapping his foot impatiently, couldn't resist a teasing remark as they approached. "Took you guys long enough. What were you doing in there, sharing makeup tips?"
Astrid rolled her eyes, retorting, "As if. We were just discussing more important matters, like who's dating who and Tuffnut's unrealistic standards."
Tuffnut, who was inspecting a random object he found on the ground, looked up at the mention of his name. "Hey, my standards are perfectly reasonable. I'm just waiting for the right moment, you know when the stars align and all that."
"Right well let me know when that happens, I'm sure Mom would love to hear about you going on a date," Ruffnut remarked playfully.
Tuffnut scoffed tossing the small object into the road to be forgotten. "Mom couldn't give two shits about my life. I've always been a disappointment to her. Dad's no better, he doesn't even know what school you're attending."
"You're not wrong. I swear we could go missing and they wouldn't even notice," Ruffnut said before disappearing into the van. The group piled into the van, laughter and banter filling the air as they prepared for another day of adventures. The van's engine roared to life, and they set off towards their next destination.
As they drove, Hiccup couldn't help but glance at Astrid with a fond smile. "I think this vacation did you some good. You've been stressing about school a lot lately. You needed a good break."
Astrid leaned into Hiccup, grateful for the support. "You're right. It's nice to have a break from all the chaos. Though I never would have imagined I would be having boy talk with Ruffnut."
Hiccup chuckled, giving her a reassuring squeeze. "Well, even badass athletes need a bit of downtime. And hey, it's good to see you smiling and enjoying yourself."
Astrid smirked, casting a playful glance at Hiccup. "Well if you insist. You, me, hot tube and wine after dinner.
Hiccup raised an eyebrow, a playful grin forming on his face. "Hot tub and wine, huh? Are you planning to spill some more juicy details about our friends' love lives, or do you have something else in mind?"
Astrid smirked, leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Maybe a little bit of both. But mostly, I just want to enjoy a quiet evening with you."
Hiccup chuckled, enjoying the playful banter. "Sounds like a plan."
As the van continued its journey, the group's laughter and chatter filled the air, creating a lively atmosphere. The day promised more adventures, but for now, they were content to enjoy the camaraderie of friends and the anticipation of what lay ahead.
As they arrived at their destination, the sun shone brightly overhead, casting a warm glow on the scene. The group made their way to the ticket kiosk, each paying for a boarding pass. The wait for the fiery wasn't that long and before they knew it they had set sail.
The fiery ride was exhilarating, with the salty sea breeze whipping through their hair as the boat cut through the waves. Laughter and shouts filled the air as the group enjoyed the thrill of the ride.
Snotlout, always the daredevil, couldn't resist standing at the front of the boat, arms outstretched, embracing the rush of the wind. "This is what I call living! You guys should try it sometime instead of sitting in the back like a bunch of old folks."
"Yeah, I would step away from the edge if I was you. The twins have that look," Fishlegs warned, trying to scoot away from the Throstons.
Snotlout laughed confidently, dismissing Fishlegs' warning. "Oh please, they wouldn't dare. I'm twice as strong as the two of them combined."
As if on cue, the mischievous glint in Ruffnut and Tuffnut's eyes intensified. Without exchanging a word, they nodded at each other and then lunged towards Snotlout.
"Hey! What the...?" Snotlout yelped as the twins attempted to push him into the water. The chaotic struggle continued as Snotlout tried to resist the twins' playful onslaught. The boat rocked with their antics, and the rest of the group erupted into laughter, enjoying the impromptu show.
The ferry ride turned into a playful battlefield, with Snotlout doing his best to stay dry, and the twins determined to give him an unexpected dip in the ocean. Despite the usual antics of Snotnuts, the morning was quite peaceful, and the gang watched the waves with a bittersweet feeling as their trip would come to an end tomorrow.
