1 year later

"Hey bud! Toothless come on you need a bath. Your scales aren't going to come off if you don't get warm water on you" It's shedding season at the moment and Toothless is being stubborn. I really want his scales so I can use it for armour and when he's shedding he gets really snooty.
"TOOTHLESS GET YOUR SCALY BUTT OVER HERE NOW!" come on you useless reptile. It feels like hours since he took off. I was about to head home when I heard a noise behind a tree.
"Finally." I sigh trying not to sound annoyed
"Come on bud. I'll make it quick I promise." He stayed back for a few seconds and put his head down in surrender. He walks alongside me and head to the pond.

I grab a bucket and put it towards Toothless so he could warm it up with a plasma blast. I grab a small piece of material and start washing away the loose scales from his back. At first toothless didn't enjoy it but after a while he started to like it. He had that toothless grin that I love on his face.

When I was finished I got rid of the water and started to fill the bucket up with the leftover scales left on the ground. We made our way home so I could start making my new flight armour. Dragon scales are fire proof so if there's a situation where I'm caught in a fire or a wild dragon is blowing fire at me, I'm protected. I start with the arms and slowly joined them together to make the shoulders. Next was the torso and back that went down to the waist and the legs were the last thing to be made. I put it on and turn towards toothless.
"So... What do you think bud?" I waited for his attention to divert to me. He had sleepy eyes which widen at the sight of me. His face was priceless. He looked so funny and so cute.
"Don't look at me like that. Do you like it or not?" He looked me straight in the eye and smiled at me. He likes it. I do the finishing touches on it so it looked more clothe like instead of a body suit.

As I was finishing the last stitch, I heard a voice come from the shore. I put the new flight suit down and jumped onto toothless to see who's decided to come to my Island. I was ready to attack when I saw it was just Trader Johann.
"Johann. What brings you here?" I ask while landing onto the beach. Johann comes running off the ship with a piece of paper in his hand.
"Oh Master Hiccup. I have terrible news. Viggo and Dagur told me to deliver this to you while I was visiting Berserker island." He hands me the rolled up paper and I unroll it and start to read it.
'Brother Hiccup. If you don't come back to Berk by the next full moon, you're friends and family will be captured and taken to Berserker island to be our slaves. If they don't obey I will throw them off the highest cliff and let nature take its course.

I was furious. I threw the scroll onto the sand. The next full moon was in 2 days. He knew Johann wasn't going to get here and leave me enough time to think about.
"Hey Bud. Looks like we're going to Berk... Again.

Can I not get a break. I don't anything to do with them. But know Stoick, Astrid and Snotlout they will be thrown off that cliff in a instant.
"Thank you Johann for the message you may go" I say dismissing him. When I looked over to him I swear I saw a glimmer in his eyes. He's never had a glimmer. He was always afraid but now he looks more confident with himself. I just ignored it and waved him off.
"Goodbye Master Hiccup. Good luck. Hope all goes well" he said before turning around control the boat.

"Looks like we'll have to leave now otherwise we won't make it back to Berk in time. Come on bud let's go" Toothless cooed in disapproval but he knew we had to go. I connect the now packed supplies onto his saddle and we left for Berk. Not knowing if Dagur and Viggo were already there waiting for me to arrive.
