"She's perfect, Lando."

POV GEORGE
The brunet was scrolling through Instagram when a photo of a certain blonde girl in a sleeveless black top suddenly popped up on his screen. Normally, he would just scroll past and ignore the profile, as it was another one of those "suggested" posts Instagram offers based on what you usually like. But this time, he stopped. The girl immediately caught his attention. He recognized the account; it was one where someone just posted pictures of F1 drivers or celebrities associated with F1, writing about trivial and uninteresting things about them.
The caption referred to her as an unknown girl. Nobody knew who she was. However, he recognized the name Jessica Shelton. She was a model and ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger. He had seen her at events a few times but had never been interested enough to go up to her and introduce himself. Jessica was just another girl who comes into your life and leaves again. The posts talked about her as the friend of this mysterious blonde.
She was truly beautiful. George couldn't take his eyes off her. If it weren't for this particular account, he might have even liked the photo, wanting the girl to know that even George Russell was captivated by her beauty. But he couldn't do that, because then everyone would start asking questions, and the poor girl would have thousands of his fans on her back. He couldn't do that to her. She probably didn't want to be the center of attention, given that she was referred to as an unknown. She probably wasn't famous if nobody knew who she was. All that was known about her was that she was friends with the model Jessica Shelton.
George wanted to turn off his phone and get back to talking to Lando, who had dragged him to this event among all these celebrities. But the blonde on his screen seemed to be speaking to him, as if she didn't want him to turn off the screen and focus on something else. George didn't want to either. The girl on his screen was truly stunning. He had never seen a prettier girl, and he was beginning to think he was going crazy.
Suddenly, he had the wild idea of becoming an FBI agent and tracking her down. He definitely wasn't ready to accept that this was the first and last time he'd see her. He definitely wanted to talk to her, especially knowing she was somewhere in the paddock where he was too. There were tens of thousands of people here, but he couldn't just miss her. She was here with her friend, who was a model and probably invited by some brand, which meant she had VIP access too. That made things a little easier, but it still meant he had to look through thousands of people to find her.
He had never been so determined. He had never been so determined to find one person. No girl had ever captivated him as much as this mysterious blonde in a sleeveless black top with striking red lips.
"George, are you manifesting?" Lando snapped him out of his trance. The brunet didn't know how long he had been staring at the girl's photo, but it must have been a while because Lando was now sitting next to him with his Monster can, sipping slowly. George didn't remember the boy next to him having it the whole time, but he also didn't remember him getting up and leaving him alone.
"Why do you think that?" George asked, confused. He knew what manifestation was, but he definitely didn't practice it and had no idea how. He didn't understand how the shorter brunet had come to that conclusion.
"Because you've been staring at a photo of some blonde for a good five minutes, and look," the brunet pointed towards the entrance of the VIP lounge. George didn't understand what he meant but looked in the direction his friend was pointing.
He almost choked on air. He wasn't drinking, yet he felt like he might drown. She was standing there. In all her beauty, the blonde from the photo was standing there. Her brown eyes were darting from side to side as if she were looking for someone, but her expression showed she hadn't found them. George could sense her frustration from her face. He felt sorry for the girl. He knew what it was like to be somewhere with strangers, where you only know a few people, but they disappear from your sight, leaving you completely alone.
In person, she looked even more beautiful than in the photos. Her blonde hair shone in the sunlight like a beautiful golden color, and George thought she would be perfect for the role of Goldilocks. The black top hugged her body perfectly, but at the same time, the brunet could tell she wasn't comfortable in it. She kept touching her arms as if trying to cover the exposed skin – it was clear this wasn't the outfit she had wanted to wear. It was probably something her stylist or friend or whoever she was with had put her in – most likely Jessica Shelton.
George grabbed the jacket that was hanging on the back of his chair and stood up.
"Where are you going?" Lando asked, but George completely ignored him. His eyes were fixed on the blonde girl who was still standing by the entrance and looked more lost than before. In one of those photos, the girl was smiling, but currently, she didn't seem like she wanted to start smiling. Rather, she looked like she might collapse with any sudden movement.
"George!" Lando shouted at him, gaining the attention of a few people, but despite that, George continued to ignore his friend. He approached the blonde girl.
"I understand that sometimes someone might leave someone and go away, but who would leave someone like you?" he asked the girl, who jumped a little in surprise. She didn't expect someone to talk to her. She didn't know someone had noticed her. She wasn't used to being noticed in a room full of people.
She looked at the boy who spoke to her and widened her eyes in surprise. George smiled when the girl did that because her eyes were already big, and he didn't think they could get any bigger. The girl couldn't believe that such a handsome boy with a black jacket was talking to her. He was wearing a white shirt and dark blue pants that perfectly hugged his body. He wasn't muscular, but he wasn't too skinny either - he was exactly the type of figure Vica liked.
"I like being alone," the girl replied. "I like the peace."
"But there isn't much peace here," George replied, to which the girl just chuckled. She had a beautiful laugh, George thought. He didn't know the girl, but he already knew that he definitely didn't want this to be their last meeting because he was already enthralled by her and knew that when he left her, he would want more.
"That's true," the girl said with a smile, "but I can try it."
"You won't lose anything by trying," George said understandingly, "but I would still suggest finding someone. You never know who you'll meet here."
"Maybe an unknown brunette who talks to strange girls with confidence?" she asked. Vica didn't know where so much confidence had come from, but the boy was so handsome that she didn't want to just let him go. She didn't want to push him away. She knew that she would fall for Jess anyway when she saw her, but so far the Asian had not been used.
"Exactly," George smiled, "and we certainly don't want that."
"Maybe we do," the girl muttered, trying to disguise the fact that her face was blushing. She was not used to talking to boys that pretty. The whole conversation was making her feel unbalanced.
"I noticed you keep touching your arms. I'm not sure if you're cold or just uncomfortable in this top, but here," George lifted his hand with the jacket. The girl didn't understand at first what the boy wanted from her, but when George brought the jacket closer to her, she understood. He wanted her to take the jacket.
"I can't," objected the blonde girl, shaking her head in disagreement.
"You can, and you will," George draped the jacket over the girl's shoulders. "I don't need a pretty blonde feeling uneasy about what she's wearing."
Vica blushed at how the boy referred to her as a pretty blonde.
"There you are!" Jessica rushed to the pair. "I need to take some photos, come on," without waiting, she grabbed the blonde girl's hand and ran off into the crowd. Vica managed to grab the edge of the jacket with her free hand to keep it from slipping off her shoulders. Before disappearing into the crowd of people, she glanced at the boy one last time. Their eyes met.
In that moment, George saw those beautiful brown eyes for the last time that day.
For Vica, it was the moment when she saw those blue-green eyes for the last time that day, but she hoped it was truly only for that day.
"I need to find out her name," muttered George as Lando stood next to him.
"You didn't ask her?" Brunet asked in surprise.
"There wasn't time for that," George shook his head.
"You're helpless," Lando chuckled and hugged his friend around the shoulders. "I've never seen you so smitten."
"She's perfect, Lando."
