Chapter Fifteen: The Prophecy
-Talia-
I cock my head to the side.
"They said this day would come. Me and you locked up alone in a room together." I state. The thumping of his heart told me that he was aggravated. He stone blue eyes stare into my own. I smirk and then click my fingers. A wooden chair appears and I pull it in front of me.
"And here we are. Not that anyone besides from us knows the truth." I cackle. I grin evilly and then sigh. I place my hand under my chin and look at him.
"Why so silent?" I ask. He then spits towards me. It lands on my face and I pull a face of disgust. I wipe my sleeve across where the salvia hit me and then shook my hand.
"I know of what they spoke, demon." He spat back. I then laugh under my breath.
"Then you know why I am here truly." I speak. He nods his head. The chains around his wrists do him kindly. If he had no restraints
"Of course I do. I know who and what you are, Talia." He speaks my true name. Not the other girl's. I grin and then hum to myself.
"Then you clearly remember who the girl is. Who I really am. What she really is." I state. He see his eyes widen.
"How did you-" He starts but I cut him off. I place my finger on his lips and then shush him. I knock the chair out of the way and click my fingers once more. A book appears in my hand, a brother leather book bound in enokian.
"Only two people know this book really exists. It's our destiny Castiel. Written in the words of the angels. Just for me to read. My right to find out what the future holds and what I must do to survive." I laugh and then open the book and flip through it. Castiel starts to laugh and smirk. Nothing. There was nothing written in this book. But how couldn't there be? There had to be something. I stole this book from bloody heaven!
"Why is this empty?" I ask him shock clearly in my voice. He just laughs.
"TELL ME!" I shout in anger. Castiel looks up at the book and then says to me smugly.
"Only angels can read it." He has to be joking me. I need to find out what my destiny is and I can't have Sadie know. She can't know. She will ruin everything I have planned.
"There is only her who can read it. Your plans are ruined Talia." He says to me and smiles. I grab the chair and then quickly through it to the wall. It smashes against the wall.
"What did that chair ever do to you?" Castiel taunts. I fell my eyes change to black and I turn around and grab his throat and squeeze it. I then throw him, attached to the chair into the wall. He grunts in pain.
"I WILL SEE THE PROPHECY! I HAVE THE RIGHT!" I scream. Castiel looks up and then shakes his head.
"You will never get to see what is not really yours." He groans and tries to get up. I then scream in annoyance and set alight to the pieces of wood which are scattered on the floor. But then an idea came to my mind.
"But can you live with the girl who love hating you forever?" I ask. He looks at me with questioning eyes.
"What if she knew that you were awake? That you knew who she was? And that all this time you have been lying to her to find some stupid tablet when in reality, who have been trying to prevent me from finding out what the prophecy is? What if she knew there was no tablet? That she was only used? That you were the one to keep on distracting her to keep me out?" I ask him. Sadie was his weakness. To my knowledge there was no tablet. There has been. Castiel was only asking for the tablet to distract me. And I was simply playing the part well.
"No..." Castiel says under his breath and attempts to get up. I laugh and then twirl around on my heels. I then jump around a bit and twirl some more.
"Yes. Yes! I will tell her everything. I will tell her everything... And you will be sorry..." I mock and then laugh. I close my eyes and then let go...
-Sadie-
I open my eyes and see where I am. I am in a dungeon. I look and see pieces of wood lit on fire. I gasp when I see Cas on the floor. His face bloody.
"Cas? What happened?" I ask. I haven't a clue how or why I am down here. He looks up at me. His face isn't stone cold like it was before. It had emotion in it. I step towards him. He seems guilty and full of worry.
"Cas?" I call out. He closes his eyes. I step closer to him and then kneel down.
"Cas?" I say again. He shakes his head and then looks back up at me.
"I am so sorry. I am so sorry." He apologises. I stare at him in wonder. What is he talking about. I was going to ask when I saw a book on the floor. I look over at it. Cas looks at me and shakes his head as I pick it up.
"Sadie don't-" He stops as I flip the pages of the book.
When one must survive, the other must die.
God's purest of heart angel and the hybrid.
One of them must kill the other before the time is nigh.
Until everyone they know dies...
I read the passage and then look back at Cas. He looks down at the floor.
"What does this mean? Castiel what does this mean?" I ask him. He then looks back up at me.
"You know what it is." He tells me. I shake my head. He can't mean what I think he means. My mind goes into meltdown.
"No... No... The end of the world? The end of everything relies on the balance of us? I can't... I can't.... No!" I scream and the floor starts to crack. Cas looks at me and says back.
"I'm sorry Sadie but this is what it has to be. In order to live. One of us must die." He explains. I gulp and then look up at him. He called me Sadie. Wait does he know? Has he been lying to me this whole time?
"You called me Sadie... You're awake." I state. Cas looks up at me with guilty irises. I then shake my head and take a step back.
"You knew who I was. Why would you threaten me? Why did you act the way you did?!" I exclaim. Cas sits up and then stands on his feet. He walks towards me and then says.
"I had to. I had to keep your mind off of the prophecy. Talia will use this against you!" He shouts at me. I shake my head. I then point my finger at him. Tears fell from my eyes and bounce on the floor.
"No, she will never find out. You just did this to prevent me knowing the truth. You were really going to kill me!" I scream. Cas quickly shakes his own head.
"Sadie I would never do that. No I would never do such a thing." He calls to me. I then shake my head once last time.
"YOU LIAR! YOU'RE JUST AS BAD AS THE REST. I THOUGHT THAT YOU CARE ABOUT ME..." Castiel goes to speak but I leave the room and slam the door. I lock it and then walk up the stairs of the basement. I know ironic that he is in the basement. But he wants to kill me. My best friend and someone that I thought I could trust wants me dead so he can save the world. He knows that I don't have the guts to kill him. One of us must die. We either kill each other or someone else kills us.
I didn't realise that this prophecy was of me and Castiel until now. I was told the tale as a child by my mother but I always thought it was a story. But now I have seen the book and I now know that Castiel was really awake when he strangled me and when he hurt me. Physically and emotionally.
I walk into the corridor of the house we are at and look around. S.H.I.E.L.D. came up with the idea of us having a secret hideout instead of Stark Tower and here we were. The rest of the team bar Natasha and Clint were in the living room waiting for the news. I remember Talia telling them that she would interrogate Cas and that was when everything went blank. She was to find out about the Tablet of Life. I knew that she wanted more information on it but I wouldn't allow her. And she must never know the prophecy.
"How did it go?" I look up and see Dean stood up in front of me. He notices my tear stained face and I couldn't speak. I then shake my head.
"He wants me dead. I am nothing more than an object that is in his way." I state. I decide not to tell the others about the prophecy. I don't think that it would be a wise idea especially if Talia finds out. I need to leave. My mission for my friends to remember me has to be put on hold for now.
I need to be alone. I can't be around these people. I need to find another way of stopping the end of the world again. I know that mine and Castiel's destinies are intertwined but I want to find another way. I don't want to die and I don't want to kill Cas. This was me. I am going to leave when night falls. I must find the tablet of Life and then and only then will it tell me what I must do. But what I didn't know at the time was that Talia was planning something entirely different.
