Pilot~ Part 2
Adeline's POV
We're at a gas station with Dean and Stefan buying food and paying for the gas while Sam and I are alone in the car together.
"So, how have you been?" Sam asks turning to face me.
"I've been good. What about you and your new college life. Is it everything you wanted?" I ask curious.
"Yeah, I'm actually dating someone." He says making my smile drop for a few seconds before I give a fake smile.
"That's great, you deserve to be happy." I say fiddling with my locket, nervous.
"What about you?" He asks turning fully in his seat to look at me.
"Oh, ummm, Kind of. It's complicated to explain." I say brushing a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Really? Who is it?" Sam asks.
"Dean." I say softly, I notice Sam's facial expression change after I say that.
"Your seeing my brother?" Asks Sam in disbelief.
"Yes... no... I mean. Dean and I aren't a couple. We just do everything a couple would do together." I try to explain to Sam without giving him the full details.
"Like what?" Sam asks now extremely interested in this topic.
"We hold hands, kiss, make out, talk,go on dates and have sex but we can also flirt, kiss and have sex with other people. Basically we do everything a couple does but we're not a couple. It's not exclusive." I tell him biting my bottom lip.
"So you could also see other people, then?" Asks Sam.
"Yeah, basically." I tell him. Right when Sam's about to say something else Dean and Stefan show up with food and drinks.
"Hey." Dean and Stefan say, with Stefan filling up the car with gas while Dean walks towards my window giving me a kiss on the lips, making both my brother and Dean's brother look away.
"Seriously, guys, I'm right here." Stefan complains from next to Dean.
"Sorry, man. She's just so kissable" Dean says, I look over and see Sam's jaw clenching, making my lean back into the car.
"You guys want breakfast?" Dean asks.
"No." Sam says.
"What about you, Sweetheart?" Dean asks turning to face me.
"I'm a little hungry." I say.
"Here you go." Dean says passing me some food and a soft drink.
"Thanks." I say taking the lid off of the drink and taking a sip.
"So, how'd you pay for that stuff?" Asks Sam starting a conversation.
"You and Dad, still running credit card scans?" Sam asks motioning to the food and drinks.
"Yeah, well, hunting ain't exactly a pro ball career." Dean says getting into the drivers side of the car.
"Besides, all we do is apply. It's not our fault they send us the cards." Dean says, I see my brother put the nozzle back on the pump before walking around the car and getting in next to me.
"Yeah? And what names did you write on the application this time?" Sam asks.
"Uh, Burt Aframian And his son hector, and their cousins Lemon and Jack. Scoured four cards out of the deal." Dean says.
"Why did you choose Lemon?" Sam Asks.
"I was thinking about fruit." I tell him eating my chips.
"That sounds about right. I swear, man, you've gotta update your cassette tape collection." Sam says looking through the box of Stefan and Dean's cassette tapes.
"Why? What's wrong with them?" Both Stefan and Dean ask at the same time looking over at Sam.
"Well, for one, they're cassette tapes. And two." Sam says holding up some tapes.
"Black Sabbath? Motorhead? Metallica?" Sam says reading off the artists, Dean ends up taking the Metallica tape from him.
"It's the greatest hits of mullet rock." Sam says.
"Well, house rules, Sammy. Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole." Dean says popping the tape in the player.
"You know, Sammy is a chubby twelve-year-old." Sam says annoyed.
"It's Sam, Okay." Sam tells him, Dean turns the volume up.
"Sorry, I can't hear you, the music's too loud." Dean says and starts to drive off, while Stefan looks at Sam weirdly.
"What is it?" I ask swing his face.
"Nothing." He says shrugging me off, opening a packet of lollies and offers me one. I take it from him with a small smile and look out the window feeling my brothers eyes on me.
"Thank you." Stefan says hanging up the phone.
"So, I called the hospital and morgue and there's no one matching your dad's description." Stefan tells them putting his phone back in his jacket pocket.
"So that's something, I guess." Sam says. I'm looking out the window and see on the bridge ahead two police cars and several officers walking around.
"Check it out." Dean says seeing the scene as well, it's pretty hard to miss it. Dean pulls over to the side of the road. Dean opens the glove compartment and pulls out a box full of ID cards with our photos on it with different identities.
"Lets go." Dean says grinning after handing Stefan and I, our cards before hopping out of the car with Stefan and I following behind him. Sam follows afterwards. We walk on the bridge and stand to the side listening to two police offers talking.
"So, this kid Troy. He's dating your daughter, isn't he?" Asks the first cop.
"Yeah." The older cop answers.
"How's amy doing?" The first cop asks.
"She's putting up missing posters downtown." The other one says.
"You fellas had another one like this just last month, didn't you?" Dean asks them.
"And who are you?" The first cop asks looking at us. Dean and I flash our badges quickly.
"Federal Marshall's" Dean says.
"You four are a little young for marshals, aren't you?" He asks us looking at us suspiciously.
"That's awfully kind of you to say." Stefan says with a fake smile before moving around.
"You had another one like this, correct?" Asks Stefan.
"Yeah, that's right. About a mile up the road. There've been others before that." The cop tells us.
"So, this victim, you knew him?" Sam asks stepping next to me so I'm in the middle of Dean and Sam, making me feel very uncomfortable.
"Town like this, everybody knows everybody." The cop says.
"Is there any connection, between the victims, beside that they're all male? " I ask stepping away from the Winchester brothers and look at the car.
"No. Not so far as we can tell." The cop tells us.
"So, what's your theory on this?" Asks Stefan turning towards the cop.
"Honestly, we don't know. Serial murder? Kidnapping ring?" The cop says making Dean and I both chuckle, with Stefan giving us a warning look although I'm pretty sure Dean missed it.
"Well, that is exactly the kind of crack police work I'd expect out of you guys." Dean says, with Sam stepping on his foot, hard.
"Thank you for your time." Sam says with a forced smile before we all start walking away from him. Once we're far enough away dean slaps Sam around the head.
"Ow. What was that for?" Sam asks rubbing his head looking over at Dean.
"Why'd you have to step on my foot?" Dean asks.
"You guys are acting like children." Stefan says shaking his head at their immaturity, even though he acts like that as well.
"Why do you have to talk to police like that?" Sam asks not hearing what my brother said. Dean stands in front of all of us, stopping us from walking.
"Come on. They don't really know what's going on. We're all alone on this. I mean, if we're going to find Dad we've got to get to the bottom of this thing ourselves." Dean says, I look behind him and clear my voice my eyes looking behind him making Dean turn around and see a sheriff and two FBI agents behind him.
"Can I help you guys?" The sheriff asks looking at all four of us.
"No, we were just leaving." I say with a smile walking away with the others following close behind.
