Destiel: Surfing AU

The day was seemingly clear, so fifteen-year-old Dean Winchester decided to go surfing. He grabs his surf board and heads to the small secluded cove he always goes to. The waves were absolutely perfect for surfing, Dean stayed there all day. What he didn't know was that all over the news, there were reports of an upcoming hurricane. It all happened so suddenly; it started raining and lightning, then the waves became out of control. One large wave forces Dean underwater. Every time he would try to swim to the surface, a wave would push him further underwater. Dean struggles to get air and begins to black out. Before losing consciousness, Dean sees what looks like a hand.

About five minutes later, Dean is coughing up water on the shore. When his vision focuses, he sees a boy with black hair and blue eyes kneeling over him.

"Are you okay...are you hurt?!" the boy asked concerned.

"Y-yeah. I'm okay." Dean nodded.

It started to rain even harder and the wind was ferocious.

"We need to find shelter, quickly!" shouted the dark-haired boy.

Dean agrees and the two boys run to the nearest shelter, which was a bait shop that was closed. They hide in the bathroom, where there were no windows.

"What's your name?" Dean asked the dark-haired boy.

"Castiel. What's yours?" Castiel replied.

"I'm Dean." said Dean.

The power then goes out, leaving the young teenage boys in the dark. Dean starts to shiver.

"Are you cold?" asked Castiel.

"A little bit." answered Dean.

Castiel scoots close to Dean and wraps his arms around him. Dean was a little confused, but he also wasn't complaining.

"What are you doing?" Dean asked blushing.

"Making sure you don't get hypothermia." replied Castiel.

"Uh...thanks." said Dean.

They stayed that way to keep each other warm. After all, Dean was only in swim trunks, and Castiel was in a tank top and shorts.

"Thanks for pulling me from the water. I would've probably died if you didn't show up. You just came out of nowhere, like...an angel or something." Dean said.

"Oh, I'm not an angel. I'm just a kid who was at the right place at the right time." Castiel said.

To pass the time, Dean and Castiel talk about themselves to get to know each other. When it starts to get late, the boys begin to get tired. Dean yawns then lays his head on Castiel's shoulder. His snoring indicates to Castiel that he's asleep. Ever since he had pulled Dean onto shore, Castiel has had butterflies in his stomach. Soon, Castiel falls asleep and lays his head on top of Dean's head. The next morning, they woke up to the power coming back on.

"It's morning...and the storm is over." Dean said waking up.

"We should get home, our parents must be worried sick about us." said Castiel.

Him and Dean stand up and leave the bathroom. The bait shop they were hiding in had tree branches, broken glass, and knocked over shelves everywhere.

"Be careful, we're both barefoot." Castiel told Dean.

They both carefully walk out of the shop, avoiding things that could hurt their feet.

"I'll walk you home." Dean said.

"That's okay, you don't have to." said Castiel.

"You saved my life, I am taking you home." Dean said folding his arms.

Dean and Castiel walk to Castiel's house. When they get to Castiel's house, the two face each other.

"It was nice meeting you, Dean." Castiel said smiling shyly.

"I liked meeting you too, Cas." Dean said smiling back.

"We should hang out for real some time. Maybe we could...uh...watch a movie at my house or something. Just so you know, I'm asking you out on date." he added.

Castiel looks at his feet and blushes all the way to his ears.

"I would really like that." Cas replied.

Dean grabs Castiel's shoulders and kisses him gently. After Castiel walks into his house, Dean walks home to his own house. The second he walks into the house, his dad is freaking out and asking a million questions.
