Destiel: High School AU
52%; that's what Dean got on his math quiz. It was the third quiz he had failed. The teacher asked to see him after class.
"Now, I know you're trying your best, but if your grade doesn't improve you're going to fail the class. So, to make sure that doesn't happen, I'm going to set you up with a tutor." she said.
"*sigh* Alright. Who's tutoring me?" Dean asked.
"His name is Castiel Novak. I told him to meet with you after school in the library." replied the teacher.
"Okay. Thanks." Dean said leaving the classroom.
The teenager texts his dad to tell him that he was staying after school. Then he goes on to his next class. When the school day was over, Dean heads to the library. He looks around and sees a dark-haired boy his age at a table.
"Are you Castiel?" Dean asked walking up to the table.
"Yeah. Are you Dean?" Castiel replied.
Dean nods and sits next to his tutor. In all honesty, Dean was excited to have Castiel as his tutor; he thought the boy was quite cute. He loved the color of his eyes, how could a single pair of eyes be so blue? It took all his will power not to get lost in those beautiful blue orbs.
"So, same time tomorrow?" Castiel asked when the tutoring session was over.
"Yeah, sure." Dean agreed.
For the past two weeks, Castiel's been tutoring Dean. During that time, Dean's crush on the blue-eyed teenager grew more and more. Dean was absolutely sure that he was falling in love.
"Why don't you ask him out if you like him so much?" Sam asked Dean.
Castiel is all Dean would talk about to his little brother.
"Do you think he'll go out with me if I ask?" Dean asked.
"Won't know if you don't try." Sam replied.
The next day at school, Dean smiles when he gets his algebra quiz back. He got an 84% on it. After school, Dean rushes to the library and runs up to Castiel, who he had started calling Cas.
"Hey, Cas, look!" Dean said showing Castiel his quiz.
"Dean, that's great! I'm proud of you." Castiel said smiling.
"I couldn't have done it without you. I'm so grateful...I owe you one, man." said Dean.
"N-no...no, you don't owe me anything." Castiel replied shyly.
"Yeah, I do, a lot. You helped me pass, you made me feel like....I-I wasn't stupid." Dean said standing closer to Castiel.
"That's because you aren't stupid. Dean, you don't have to do anything in return, it's okay." said Castiel.
Dean couldn't take it anymore. The urge to kiss his tutor was driving him crazy, so...he went for it. Acting on autopilot, Dean Winchester leans in and presses his lips to Castiel's. The kid's eyes goes as wide as saucers, but he makes no moves to pull away. When Dean finally pulls away, both boys are blushing from their cheeks to the tips of their ears.
"A-Are we...even now?" Dean asked.
"Y-Y-Yeah...yeah, we are." replied Castiel stammering.
"C-Can...y-you do that...a-a-again?" he requested.
Smiling, Dean leans in for another kiss. This time, Castiel kisses back. Afterwards, Dean asked Castiel out and he said yes.
