*the happy ending 💖*

He looked out across the ocean, tears in his eyes as he think about how Sam was somewhere out there, silent and still as the ocean moves on around him.

Footsteps sound on the wooden jetty behind him, but he pays them no heed as he mourns the younger Winchester.

"Gabriel?"

Gabriel froze, that voice was painfully familiar.

"Gabe?"

Gabriel spun around, and sure enough Sam Winchester stood there, outlined by the sunshine as he smiled at the crying man.

"Sa-Sammy?" Gabriel stumbled to his feet, eyes wide with disbelief.

"Hey," Sam smiled sadly as Gabriel made a choking noise.

Then Gabe had his arms around the taller man, not caring if anyone could see them, all he cared about was Sam. He pulls back and stares into Sam's eyes, then he closes the distance between them, pressing his lips against Sam's.

The kiss was passionate, and Gabriel could taste their tears.

When they finally broke apart, breathing heavily, Gabe had only one question at that moment.
"How?"

Sam smiles slightly, resting his forehead against Gabe's. "Turns out there was another lifeboat that got launched minutes before the ship sunk, we barely got out and the rescue boats almost missed us."

"Why didn't you come back sooner?"

"I was sick, really sick, because our raft had a puncture and sunk right before we were rescued, I was in hospital for ages and when I got out I had to try and get enough some money together to get back to England."

Gabriel buried his face into Sam neck and cried in relief as the sun shone cheerfully on them.

He was ready to take on the problems that might come with their secret relationship because he had Sammy back and that was all that mattered.
