Gabriel Novak and Sam Winchester have always, and will always, be best friends. That was one of the simple facts in life that no one questioned. Sam had been the awkward kid in kindergarten that had taken the new kid with fluffy golden hair under his wing.

The two quickly became fast friends and that was that. Sam had returned home that first day with a dimply grin on his face and paint in his shaggy brown hair.

He had ran right up to his brother Dean, and spoken his first words since their mother had died the previous year.
“Bean! I made a new frwiend today.”

In the years following, Sam and Gabriel Novak grew up together, there was nothing one didn’t know about the other. It was their first year of high school, Sam and Gabe were sitting together on the grass when Sam looked at his golden haired, prank loving friend realised he liked him.

Gabriel knew he had liked Sam since they had been 12. It obviously didn’t take long for these facts to surface and they were dating by the time they were 16.

The two knew they would always be best friend, and continued to hold this fact to be true as they dated throughout the last years of school.
In their vows at their wedding, Sam and Gabe made sure to say that they were best friends, always.

Sam and Gabe were best friends, husbands and one another’s true love. These were the three simple facts in life that no one questioned.
