"Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake-hole''Dean grinned as he threw the tape out of Sam's hands.

Sam rolled his eyes but nevertheless said nothing and sat in silence.

"Here, darling. I got you your favourite''Dean winked as he turned around in his seat and handed you the wrapped up burger.

''Chicken burger!''You squealed as you leaned forward and grabbed for it. Dean nodded.

''With mayo?"

"With mayo, sweetheart''Dean chuckled. You grinned, hungrily unwrapping the burger as Dean watched you with a huge smile.

He ruffled your hair before turning back around and pulling out slowly before driving swiftly down the road.

''So, they're gonna be over here?''Dean asked as he and Sam sat at the table, mapping out the whereabouts of their newest monster hunt.

''DEAN''You yelled, dragging out his name as you came running into the room. Dean looked up, craning his neck around as he looked at you.

''What's up, little sis'?''Dean asked, shuffling in his seat so he could see you better.

Sam watched you too, thinking maybe something was wrong.

''Dean, will you play army with me?!''You asked sweetly as you shyly shuffled your foot. You played army with Dean all the time but Sam didn't know that you did since he wasn't around but had left for school.

''Yeah, of course I will''He chuckled as he got up. Sam's mouth parted slowly as he tugged Dean's arm.

''Dean... the map?''Sam stuttered as he motioned towards the un-left map. Dean turned back to Sam as he moved the map off the table and began to clear it.

''The map can wait, Sam''Dean said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Sam rose his brows in shock. He wasn't used to Dean putting hunting second. He watched as you raced towards Dean the two of you setting up the little toy soldier men and the field as you both moved the toys around and made funny voices.

Sam's bare feet hit the cold floor as he winced slightly. The pounding headache in his skull was starting to hurt his brain. He stretched his long limbs as they cracked and he pondered his brain for why he had woken up suddenly.

Sam glanced over at his older brothers bed only to find it empty. He panicked a little but knew Dean had most likely gotten up to go to a bar if he couldn't sleep.

It was until he looked over at your bed when he knew that something had happened. He knew you wouldn't have gotten up to go to a bar or something.

Sam's heart was pounding against his chest until he heard soft murmurs coming from the bathroom. He lightly padded his way towards the bathroom as he used his two fingers to quietly push open the door.

He peaked inside, only a slit of the door revealing what was behind it. You were sat on the edge of the bath tub, your eyes red and raw as if you had been crying. You kept using the sleeve of your pyjama top to wipe your running nose as you sniffled.

Sam snapped out of his concern and worry when he heard someone shuffling about. He pushed open the door a little more only to see Dean wetting a cloth in the sink. Dean walked back over to you before kneeling down and gently pressing the damp cloth to your swollen eyes.

"Hey, it's okay. It was just a dream''Dean smiled soothingly as he yawned tiredly.

Sam sighed in relief as he realised the two of you were not injured. He felt a little hurt that you had woken up Dean instead, in fact he felt hurt that all you ever did was go to Dean for everything but he knew that was his own fault.
Sam sleepily walked back to his bed before pulling back the covers and getting in.

He was happy Dean was so caring towards you, even if he was a little jealous.

''Alright. Well you go down that way and I'll check out this way''Dean stated as he and Sam stood opposite each other.

Sam looked down the long, entwining road but nodded. He turned back to you and smiled kindly.
''Hey, (y/n). Who do you wanna go with?''Sam asked as he bent down a little, his hands on his knees.

You shuffled your feet as you tapped your chin as if you really had to think hard.

''Mmm...Dean!''You squealed as you rushed towards Dean with a giggle.

''yeah. That's my girl''Dean chuckled as he high fived you. Sam's smile faltered a little.

He really was happy, don't get him wrong. But he couldn't help but envy your relationship just a little. When you were younger you were so much closer to Sam and he missed that, he though about it all the time whilst he was gone. Now he came back and you weren't ignoring him or mean, but you just barely did anything with him. You were definitely a Dean's girl now.

Sam watched the two of you stalk down the road as you chatted his ear off excitedly but Dean just laughed and listened.

''Hey, (Y/n)''Sam started as he turned to you. You looked up, putting down your books as you looked up at your older brother and gave him a nod and a toothy smile.

Sam chuckled but continued with his question. ''Can I ask you something?"

You nodded again, putting down your book completely to give him your full attention as you turned his way and waited.

"How come you're closer to Dean? I mean, I know that I left and you had time to get closer to Dean and all but you used to be really close to me''Sam said as he tried not to let himself sound to jealous.

''Because Dean gave me his word''You answered simply as you turned back around and picked up your book.

''His word?''Sam repeated with confusion. His thick brows knitted together. You nodded, turning back to your brother, not knowing Dean was watching in the hall way.

''When you left, Dean promised he never would. Everyone's left me. You, Dad...mom. But Dean didn't. Dean hasn't and he swore he never would and I've never left him either.

He's always there for me and I trust him completely''You explained as Sam nodded guiltily.

''Yeah...I understand"
