You walked into the store, tired and exhausted but determined to get something to eat.
You grabbed a packet of salty crackers, you craved them, then got a bottle of juice. You started to walk over to the counter but saw a big chocolate bar that was calling you towards it.
You went over, licking your lips. These cravings are definitely not good for you.
But what can you do? You have nothing else to occupy your time with.
You have no one with you...
Atleast for now you don't. You had people before, three guys who meant everything to you but life took its turn when you found out that you were having a baby with one of them. You packed your things and fled, fearing that they'd reject you.
Rather than have them drive you out of the Bunker you thought you'd go by yourself and stay independent.
That was 7 months ago.
You walked over to the cashier and gave her the things. She smiled at you happily and scanned the items.
TING!
You watched as a tall man walked into the store. You stared at him with a look of sadness and anxiety.
You knew him, it was the baby's dad.
It was Sam... Winchester.
The guy walked over to the aisle where there were drinks. He took two bottles of beer and came to the cashier as you walked towards the exit.
You wanted to talk to him but you feared that he may not even remember you, though what you both had before was extremely close.
You walked past him, nudging into him by mistake. You both looked at each other and you apologised for hitting him. He smiled, "No problem."
He looked back at his bag of things then turned to look at you with realisation.
"[y/n] wait-"
You headed for the door, pushing it open and walking ahead as quick as you could. Being 7 months pregnant limited the speed of your movements.
You walked ahead, head lowered and tears stinging your eyes. It hurt you to see him, he was clearly upset and mentally affected by your leaving.
You paused, groaning when you felt your baby kick you hard.you clutched your stomach and shut your eyes. It was enough to let Sam catch up to you.
He placed a hand on your shoulder and turned you around. "[y/n], what are you... doing here?" He asked, officially noticing your enlarged stomach.
He raised his eyebrows, "You're uh... you're..." You sighed, "Yes I'm pregnant Sam." He couldn't believe that it was actually you standing infront of him... and you were having a baby?!
"Wh-Who's the father?" Sam questioned, dreading the answer. You held his arm, "It's you Sam. You're the dad."
He hugged you, tears flowing down his cheeks while you were in the same state as him. "I'm so glad I found you," Sam said and kissed you on your lips.
You missed him every second you were away. You knew how much he loved kids and would love having his own but you also knee how much a Hunter's life can be a burden. A kid would be another way people can threaten you.
You'd cry sometimes, all alone in the motel rooms you'd inhabit, at the sad truth that Sam would never know his child and the other way around.
"When did you find out? What month is it-"
HONK! HONK!
You both looked to the source of the sound: A 1967 Chevy Impala, the car you know so well.
You smiled, you wanted to meet Dean. Sam held your hand and you both walked to the car. Upon approaching, Dean noticed an additional person with his brother and got out of the car. When he saw you he walked over and pulled you into an embrace.
"Look at you, [y/n]," He said and grinned, "All grown up and making life! We've missed you so much."
Castiel was there as well and you smiled widely. He was one of your best friends. You found the Winchesters because of him.
"Cas!" You said and you hugged him. He rubbed your back softly and smiled, "Hello [y/n], how are you doing?"
"I'm good Cas, just struggling with moving around," You said and he nodded. Cas helped you into the Impala. You immediately felt a feeling of fear when you saw who was already in the back seat.
It was Crowley, the king of Hell, and he was handcuffed, a grin plastered on his face.
You paused, not wanting to sit next to him. He's done enough harm to you in the past. Cas placed a hand on your shoulder, "Are you alright?"
You shrugged the feeling off then nodded. You slid your way into the back seat while the other three boys sat as well. Cas sat next to you and the Winchesters were in the front.
You felt awkward, between an angel and demon sandwich. You placed your hands in front of your belly out of protection. Crowley kept smirking and it bothered you.
"Who caused you to become a panda?" He asked and snickered. You sighed, "Sam... and shut up asshat." Be raised his handcuffed hands in apology.
Dean started to drive off. Sam kept looking back to you while explaining what they were doing before he had met you at the store.
They were taking Crowley to a place where he claimed that a high treasured item would be found that would enable him to close the gates of hell permanently. No one would be able to open it again.
You sat in the back seat, trying to fall asleep but your baby wouldn't let you. You held onto Castiel's hand, squeezing it a bit every time the baby kicked.
You weren't in pain, it was just starting to get slightly annoyed. "What's wrong?" Cas asked and you rested your head on his shoulder.
"It's the baby," You whispered softly, not wanting to wake up Sam infront. "Does it hurt?" He asked with worry and you smiled. "Not at all Cas. I just want to rest but..." You shut your eyes but they darted open when the baby kicked again.
"Give me your hand," You requested and he obeyed with hesitation. You placed it on top of your stomach and pressed softly. Cas smiled when the baby reacted, shutting his eyes.
"Human life is so... fascinating and beautiful," He sounded relaxed and at peace. You stayed calm and quiet for a few more moments then sat up.
"Uh Cas, while I was gone... Did Sam-"
"He missed you so much. I can't begin to describe how depressed he was. I caught him sobbing in his room once, questioning all his words and actions and asking what made you leave him," Castiel explained and you sighed, feeling a wave of tears sting your eyes.
"I just-I had to leave. I couldn't have stayed," You said, feeling extremely guilty.
*****
You reached an old warehouse where all the guys got out. Castiel helped you out of the car and you thanked him. Dean grabbed onto Crowley by his collar and pulled him to the warehouse.
"Cas, come with me. Sam stay here and catch up with [y/n]," Dean instructed and Sam sighed. Castiel looked at you and you told him you're fine. You love how Cas is always caring towards you.
You walked over to Sam and placed your hands in your jacket pocket. He stood in the same stance and you both stayed silent.
"I honestly... I have nothing to say right now," Sam said and you frowned, "I'm so glad I found you but this... This beautiful, piece of life you have inside you... I don't know about a baby."
He was hesitant but then he placed his hand on your stomach. You saw tears glisten in his eyes. You had never seen him this emotional. You stepped closer to him, till your belly touched his torso.
You wrapped your arms around him, "I'm sure you've figured it out but I left because of the baby. I know how much you would hate having a child as a at for people to get what they want from you. I just-I couldn't get rid of it even though I'd always think of doing it and returning to you."
"I fell in love Sam... I fell in love with this baby, our baby, and I didn't have the power to end it's life," You said, tears rolling down your cheeks. Sam hugged you, then kissed your head.
"I'm glad you didn't but you should have talked to me about it. I would have never rejected you," Sam said, rubbing your back. He still had his hand on his stomach, not letting go out of love and fatherly protection.
"I love you and if you want this child then nothing will stop us from having it. I will protect it with my life," Sam pulled away from the hug and kissed you.
You gasped a bit, collapsing into his arms. He held you up, worried to the core. "What's wrong?! Are you okay?" He questioned, "I felt something... what was that?!"
You took a deep breath and stood up straight, "The baby kicked my spine hard. It's the way he or she tries to stretch in this tiny space," You told and shut your eyes. You were sleep deprived and your feet ached.
Sam held your hand and helped you into the back of the Impala. He sat next to you and pulled you closer towards him. You rested your head on his chest.
"You can sleep atleast for a half hour," Sam said and kissed your head. You held his hand tightly, not wanting him to leave your side.
"I'll never leave you again Sam. I'll never..."
You were too tired to continue, taken in by your slumber. Sam shut his eyes, he could finally be in peace, knowing that you're with him and you'll always be with him.
