Morning Sickness (Dean)
"Hey babe."
You opened your eyes, a smile appearing on your face. You played with his hair as he kissed your hand. You turned over to your side, moving closer to Dean. He was going to kiss your nose but you sat up suddenly.
You furrowed your eyebrows and swallowed hard. You felt weird all of a sudden. Something was rising up... You were terrified.
"Babe what's wrong?" He asked as he put an arm on your shoulder. "I... I don't know. I have to-" You threw the covers off from your legs and jumped out of bed, feeling sick in every inch of you.
You ran to the washroom, pushing the door shut causing a loud THUD! You bent over and threw up in the sink. It didn't feel good at all. You shivered a bit, feeling weak.
The door of the washroom slowly opened and a concerned Dean peered through. "Are you okay?" He questioned and leaned on the door frame. You washed your face to freshen up and gripped the sides of the sink, your head pulsing with pain.
"I-I threw up. I don't know why," You told and he walked over to you, holding your hands. "Did you eat anything weird yesterday?" He asked and you shook your head.
You paused. You realised something when the flashes exploded in your mind.
"Maybe it's... " You started then looked to the floor, the feeling of shame washed over you for some reason. Dean looked at you with confusion. "Maybe it's related to 'that' night... about 2 weeks ago?" You said and he raised his eyebrows.
"Oh... Oh!" He suddenly ran out and to his bed side table. He ran back to the washroom, face brightened all of a sudden. "Here. Do this," He said and gave you a long stick-like thing.
"Seriously? A pregnancy test?" You raised am eyebrow at him and he looked at you like an excited 6 year old. "Just try. What's there to lose?" He said and you stepped closer to him.
You kissed him on the lips, passionately, then hugged him. "If this works, we can never be just the two of us again," You said and he nodded, kissing your forehead.
You did the test and placed it on the bathroom sink. Dean sat on the closed toilet while you leaned on the sink.
Time passed. You could hear Dean tapping on the side of the toilet anxiously. "Dean, baby, calm down," You said and smiled softly. He rolled his eyes and sighed, "How long does it take for one small test to tell us if there's a baby inside you or not?!"
You giggled a bit, "Babe, be patient. If the test comes out positive, you'll have another 9 months of patience to go through. Start preparing from now." Dean frowned, realising that he would have to wait for so long.
You glanced at the test and it was done. You held it in your hand and squeezed it, biting your lip slightly.
"Dean I..." You stepped closer to him, "I'm sorry." He looked up to you in disbelief, all the happiness drained away. He really wanted a baby. He'd always go on about it, he'd talk you into trying too. Hell, he even got the test stached in his drawer.
"I'm sorry... you'll have to wait another 9 months," You said and his face shone with hope. You gave him the test and he noticed the small '+'.
He pulled you into his lap and hugged you. "Yay, I'm so happy!" He said cheerfully. You kissed his cheek, "You're going to be a dad Dean! Isn't that awesome?" He kissed your lips and put his hand on your stomach. There was no evidence of a child but he imagined it growing in the coming months.
"Well, start counting!" You said and he jumped up, causing you to get up too. You chuckled at the way he ran to the table and retrieved an old dusty book calendar of the next five years.
"Nine months from today..." He started counting on his fingers and flipping through the pages. "Dean, hold your horses. If you're lucky, it may be less than that," You said and he looked up, realising something.
"We need to go to a doctor," He said and walked to the chair to get his jacket and jeans. "Dean-"
"Baby, get your things! Let's go!" You shook your head and smiled. You watched him walk out of the bedroom, a smile unable to vanish from your lips.
Sure you could have stopped him and said 'Calm down. We'll go later' but why ruin his happiness? You couldn't deny the fact that you were excited too... and nothing was going to change that.
