You walked around the kitchen, wondering what to make. You were starving but you've never really cooked anything other than eggs and instant noodles. Sure you have toast or cereal in the morning, but the Winchesters mostly make the food around the Bunker.

You stared at the fridge then the stove, zoning out while thinking about all the possibilities of food you could prepare and satisfy your hunger.

You groaned when you couldn't think of anything, or even if you did you didnt have the confidence to try it out.

"Hey Anne!" Dean greeted with a smug smile as he entered the kitchen, grabbing an apple from the fruit basket and taking a greedy bite from it, "What's up?"

You watched him then chuckled. He looked like a cow having his meal, chewing with his mouth stuffed.

But you sighed, returning to the main dilemma of your current routine.

"I need to ask you something."

"Alright, shoot."

"I need you to help me with cooking, please teach me everything you know. I cant just continue relying on you guys to serve food to me... Well I could but I want to learn!"

Dean raised his eyebrows then smiled as he nodded. "Okay then, you shall be my student," He said and you hugged him, "Right after I finish my fruit."

You looked at him with a frown then rolled your eyes. He instructed you to take out ingredients for the famous "Elvis" burger, a doughnut and beef combo that he adores with his life.

Three hours later and five dishes completed, your clothes were stained with mixture spills, flour and spices and just crumbs and flakes from everything and anything.

"Now we shall eat!" Dean announced with victory, licking his lips, "This is my favourite part. You get to be proud of the artwork you've created."

You both tried the burgers first. "Not bad... needs a little work but I'm pretty proud of you Anne," Dean commented and you smiled widely.

After having a few more bites, you moved on to the next dish which was his take on 'the perfect omlet'. It had so many things going on, you were surprised by how many ingredients it had.

You both are a bite at the same time but Dean paused, staring off into the distance. He cleared his throat, then clenched his fists.

"How is it?" You asked with dread and he smiled slightly while nodding his head. "I-It's good! Y-Yeah..." He gave you a thumbs up.

For the next dishes, which also consisted of a cocktail and a dessert, cake (he said that pie was way too complex for a start), he was acting odd but you shrugged it off.

Maybe he's just stuffed, You thought.

"Hey Dean? I'll be back, I just need to do to the washroom," You told and he mumbled an 'Okay'. He watched you walk out intently then bent over to reach for the trash bin under the table.

Dean held it under his chin and threw everything out of his mouth. He couldn't consume it, it was just so-

"Hey Dean, I was wondering-"

Dean turned his head, frozen while staring at the doorway and watching you looking at him with disbelief, disappointment and surprise.

"Oh crap..." He mumbled and put the trash bin down slowly, clenching his jaw.

You walked in slowly and tried to steady your breathing, unable to form questions even though you had so many racing through your mind.

"Um, Dean... Why did you just do that?" You asked, feeling extremely hurt. You knew the answer though you still wanted to ask him about it.

He sighed then sat straight as you walked to the table and crossed your arms. "Anne, look I'm no expert but I just-Being a friend... who cares about you immensely and wants you to do your best, I have to say that you need some more cooking lessons," He explained with slight hesitation at your reaction.

You frowned then looked at him with irritation, "So you're basically saying that I suck."

"No! Of course not..." He took a deep breath then sighed, "Alright fine, yes I mean to say that. But cooking is something anyone can learn and you're not that bad! It's just that this food... sucks."

You nodded slowly, sadly, then started walking away. "Hey Anne, I will help you," Dean said and got up, walking over to you and placing a hand on your shoulder, "We'll have a session every day and we could cook two or three dishes and master them."

He grinned, "It could be like MasterChef." You smiled slightly, "Alright Dean. Thanks for telling me the truth about my cooking."

He nodded, "So now what do we do for dinner?"

At the same time, you both looked at the food at the table that you had made then glanced at each other.

"Take out," You both said in unison then laughed. "Yeah definitely, I don't think Sam would even want to eat this," You joked and Dean chuckled.

You both walked out of the kitchen, deciding on what to eat for dinner. Dean's love for burgers was expressed but why not try something new?
