Role Model (Castiel)

Castiel.

Angel of the lord, Winchester, third wheel, adorable snowflake, precious and innocent lil' kitty...

Those are just a few titles that can describe one of your best friends. You're so glad that you know him, he makes your life more interesting. Lucky for you, the feelings are mutual between the two of you.

It was around a few months ago where this particular story starring Castiel 'the Baby in the trenchcoat' (another one of his titles) takes place.

He had started to spend a lot of time with you, getting to know you better and helping you out with whatever you needed. You got to learn a lot from him too, much about the world beyond human comprehension. That kind of stuff always fascinated you.

Not minding much of Castiel's clinginess, the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, alerted you about a case involving mauled victims with body parts missing. It sparked your interest immediately and this was the first case in weeks that the brothers needed an additional Hunter's help. They're usually self sufficient but hey, not everyone's perfect.

You were finally going to put your skills in training but what's the cherry on top of the ice cream scoop?

Castiel has never physically or mentally seen or known that you hunt. You think it's pretty odd but whenever he's around you're usually just in the Bunker and you just assumed that he knew you hunt rarely.

He didn't know a thing, and oh did he want in.

He had a grin on his face, he was excited tk be going on this 'field trip' to hunt down some creature stealing human parts. Of course, you were present so it made it much more fun for Castiel. The Winchesters didn't mind the extra help so win-win for every member.

"Okay so you and Cas go that way-"

"Wait they haven't done this much before, shouldn't they come with on of us? They might get lost... Or killed," Sam said and you gulped.

Dean shrugged his shoulders, "Why don't they go full out and try on their own?"

And it broke into an argument. You rolled your eyes and sighed and to your confusion, Castiel did the same thing.

Coincidental occurance...

"Guys, shut up and let Cas and I go one way, the less scary way," You pointed to the left, "And you guys go right."

San and Dean nodded then Sam said, "We'll meet you guys here in 20. Synchronise our watches."

You all put your wrists next to each others and corrected the watch hands. Castiel had put his wrist in but took it away when he realised that he didn't have a watch. You giggled, he looked adorable.

"If you don't see anyone of us here at the time, assume the worst and prepare to fight," Dean said and you nodded.

You walked to the left with your pistol in a ready stance, pointed down, and Castiel followed beside you.

You glanced at him, finding that he was standing exactly like how you were. You furrowed your brows, wondering why-

THUD!

You were pushed back, your head throbbing with pain after colliding with the wall. You were so caught in your thoughts that you didn't see the wall ahead. Castiel rushed to your side, checking to see if you're okay.

"Castiel I'm fi-"

"You could have a concussion [y/n]."

"No I'm-"

"Let me check your foreh-."

"CAS I'M FINE!"

He backed away and you huffed, "Let's... Get this hunt over with."

MOOOOOOAAAAAANNNNNNN!

There was a loud and low rumble, making the blood run cold within you. You cursed under your breath, you and Cas we're really close to something big... And harmful.

At the end of the corridor, you spotted Sam and Dean standing there, guns pointed to their right. You couldn't make out what they were looking at so you ran to them, Castiel followed behind.

"SHHHHH!" Dean whispered furiously and your eyes widened when you followed their gaze. "CRAP! What is that?!" You mumbled in terror.

There was a large, giant kind of figure laying on the ground, appearing as if it were sleeping.

"We better get away from-"

ROOAAAARRR!

THUD!

THUD!

THUD!

The creature got up and looked back, rage on its face when it saw us. The four of you backed away slowly, the only option to fight because running away would be completely pointless.

Dean instructed you to attack it while they-

THUMP!

The creature knocked Sam and Dean back to the wall and they fell unconscious. It was just you and Castiel left standing.

"Cas, watch out!" You yelled at the top of your lungs but the creature pushed him back and came towards you. "Oh shit!" You exclaimed, gripping your pistol tightly and started shooting him.

You heard the sound of another gun. You looked around frantically and saw that Castiel was shooting the creature as well.

You decided to distract the creature so that Cas could continue to attack it while Sam and Dean got up.

But that didn't work at all because Castiel started imitating you, copying your ways of distracting the monster. "Cas no! SHOOT IT!" You shouted but he continued to run your way.

You turned around hurriedly and held his shoulders tightly, throwing the gun to him, "SHOOT IT CASTIEL! DON'T DO WHAT I'M DO-"

THUMP!

The monster flung you to the wall and you heard your wrist crack. You cried out in pain, while watching how Cas encountered the supernatural creature.

Your vision was blurred, there was a ringing in your ears. You could somewhat make out what was happening around you.

While Dean came over to you to help, you heard Sam shout out, "Cas NOW!"

ZZZIINNNGGG!

There was a bright light, absorbing everything around you. Castiel stood ahead with his arm out, light emitting from him. You she your eyes tight so that you wouldn't go blind.

In the process, you didn't realise but you passed out. The pain from your wrist and the power from Castiel was something your body couldn't take anymore.

*****

Back at the Bunker, you were in full rage mode though you couldn't take out your anger with a broken wrist.

Dean helped to fix you up. A few tears were shed as he straightened your hand but soon enough you had a bandage wrapped around it.

As the boys continued to fix themselves, you marched to Cas who continued to stare at the floor.

"You've really got me confused Cas," You said, while rubbing your sore wrist, "What's wrong with you? What happened today?"

"I'm so sorry [y/n], this is all my fault and I can't even heal your injury," He answered and you sighed. "Cas, why have you been copying my every move?" You questioned and he looked straight into your eyes.

"I... I admire the way you behave and act in situations. You're a role model for me," He replied and you tilted your head, kind of shocked, "When I found out that you're a Hunter, I wanted to become one too because I trust the way you act. You always do the right thing while I... I mess everything up."

You wrapped your arm around his and hugged it, "Hey Cas, don't say that. I'm flattered that you admire my ways but you don't need to copy me. I have imperfections, we all have but you have to be your own person... Or Angel."

He smiled a bit, which made you smile as well. "And you don't mess everything up. You saved my life, you saved all of us today after you nuked that giant creature thing," You said, "We still have to figure out what that is."

You kissed his cheek and he turned a little red, which made you laugh, "Castiel is such a lovely Angel, he's got his own way of doing things and the best part is that he's got good intentions right?"

He nodded his head and you squeezed his arm, "Okay now recharge your powers quickly so that you can heal me you moron." He smiled and you laughed as you walked away towards the kitchen to have a cup of coffee.
