Gabriel groaned with frustration as he got up from his bed sluggishly. With his shoulders slumped, he walked over to the other room, the nursery for your eight month old daughter.

He frowned and reached out to rub her back while she was standing in her crib. She gestured for him to pick her up and take her out but he shook his head. He had just put her to bed.

"I'm sorry sweetheart but it's time for bed," He explained and she paused, looking around for a moment then banging her fists on the crib bar, "Oh come on, I'm not in the mood for this. Daddy is tired and he wants to sleep."

After much persistence, and Gabriel being present in the room singing softly, your baby girl fell asleep. He sighed with relief then stood up and stretched his arms. Gabriel made his way to his bedroom then collapsed onto the bed, stomach-down. He isn't one to feel tired but without you around, he has been doing everything.

You're away on hunt for the past week with Bobby Singer and John Winchester, Sam and Dean's father, busy fighting a nest of vampires in Wyoming. You're supposed to be back tomorrow but the work load is driving Gabriel crazy. He's been at the Winchesters feet, asking for assistance but they can only do so much.

It's not like he has a lot to take care of, it mainly only consists of tending to your daughter [y/d/n]. However, Gabriel hasn't really stayed without you by his side and he needs more time to get used to it-

WAAAAAHHHHHH!

Gabriel took the pillow beside him and slammed it into his face, his groans of frustration being muffled. Gabriel swung the door open and stepped out, stopping for a moment then running a hand through his hair and slamming the door shut after he moved away.

He stormed towards the library and scans the wide room for any sign of-

"SAM, DEAN!" Gabriel yelled with anger then banged his fist on the table, "I am DONE!"

Sam sat up straight, confusion written all over him face, "What are you talking about?"

"I cannot handle taking care of [y/d/n] anymore-"

"Wait but she's your daughter," Dean raised an eyebrow.

"I CAN'T, not without Max. I NEED her!" He started to cry hysterically and Sam glanced to his brother awkwardly, "I am going away till she returns-"

"Wait what? Gabriel no-"

"NO I'VE DECIDED IT! I'm leaving Winchesters," He smiled toothily then took a deep breath, "Adios suckers!"

CLICK! ZAP!

With a snap of his fingers, Gabriel had disappeared suddenly, out of the Winchesters' sight.

WAAAAHHHHHH!

Sam clenched his jaw then looked to his brother in surprise. "Um Dean...?" He mumbled then stood up, rushing to to daughter's nursery.

*****

3 years later...

He couldn't help but think about you every single day, and feel completely miserable about leaving your side. The fact that you and him had a nasty fight before you left for that week-long hunting trip kind of put him off track for this lengthened stretch of time for which he has been away.

Gabriel sighed then continued walking along the bricked pathway, trees on either side of it swaying in the wind. He looked around then stopped, raising his eyebrows and smiling softly.

He spotted someone sitting in the middle of the sand pit with a bulldozer toy, scooping and pouring sand into the carrier. Gabriel looked around before jogging towards the young person, happily enjoying some alone time in the sand.

"Hi there! Can I play with you?" He asked and sat on a bench right next to the sandbox, while watching the little girl.

"Um..." She looked up to him and frowned, "My mommy told me that I don't talk to new people."

He smiled softly then bit his lip. "What if I stay right here and watch you play?" Gabriel requested and she seemed doubtful, "Little girl, I actually know your mom!"

"Really?"

"Yeah! Her name is Max Lynn and you're [y/d/n]," Gabriel batted his eyebrows and she smiled widely, "I know that you have two... uncles, called Sam and Dean."

[y/d/n] put her toys down and turned to look at this new person, "How do you know so much?"

Gabriel looked to the ground, sighing, "I-I... Your mommy used to be a very good friend of mine, until I left her and went to live in another magical home."

She tilted her head with confusion then went back to playing her castle building game.

"How old are you [y/d/n]?" He asked, obviously knowing the answer though wanting to bond better with his daughter. He placed his chin on his palm, his elbow resting on his thigh.

"I'm three!"

He smiled, "You're such a big girl! That's lovely. Do you have a daddy?"

She didn't answer immediately. "Um no... I don't know," She said then gets up suddenly, "I have to go now. My mommy is going to be angry-"

"Your mommy is here?!" He asked a little loudly, sitting up straight with his eyes darting around searching for any sign of you. When he looked back to see his daughter, she had disappeared.

"[y/d/n]?" He called out as he stood up and started walking around, "[y/d/n] where did you go?!"

THUMP!

"What the hell do you think you're-Gabriel?!"

He turned around to find Dean, who had grabbed onto his shoulder with furrowed eyebrows. "Why are you talking to her?" He asks with anger and Gabriel shrugs his shoulders.

"Uh she's my daughter Dean, I'm obviously going to-"

"NO you're not supposed to disappear for years then come back like everything's okay!"

Gabriel clenched his jaw then pished Dean's hand away from his shoulder. "She's MY girl and I can see her if I want!" He yelled then spotted you and your daughter by the swings in the distance.

Gabriel started jogging towards you with Dean right at his tail. "Max, MAX!" He shouted out to you, but you didn't turn to him. You couldn't hear him.

Gabriel picked up his pace then stopped suddenly, realising that meeting you after so long without any explanation or warning could completely ruin his life.

He looked to the ground and sighed then shook his head. "Max... It's m-me!" He started running again then leaned by a tree to catch his breath.

Dean was about to jump on him and take him down, Gabriel put his hand out to tell him to give him a moment.

"M-Max please listen to me!" Gabriel pleaded and you looked up to him in surprise. You left your daughter by Sam's side, who was standing a couple feet away, then rushed towards Gabriel.

"What the hell..."

"Max I'm so happy to-"

You slapped him right across his face and stared at him with disgust. "You're a good for nothing ass hole, I hate you!"

He held his cheek and stared at the ground. You bit your cheek and held back your tears. You grabbed his jacket collar and pulled him in for a tight embrace.

"So you love me again?"

"DON'T push it Gabe... I still hate you, you feathery-assed son of a bitch," You whispered then laughed through your tears.
