"Dear Father, Help Us..." (Castiel)

You cried on his shoulder, you couldn't just take her to a normal doctor. She was special.

A healer helped you understand what was going in with her, after she showed signs of lethargy, holes in her memory and reaction to the world around her. She slowly turned into a human, but one who was sick.

You couldn't watch her go through this pain, she's so young and she's your daughter.

"I-It'll be fine, [y/d/n] will be alright o-okay?" He said shakily, tears streaming down his cheeks, "She'll be okay and we'll... all be h-happy."

The healer frowned, then shook his head slowly. Cas stared at him, "Please tell me there's a way of fixing this."

"I'm sorry but all the cases before had no cure," He explained, "They all... passed away."

You cried harder, this was too much hurt to take in at one moment. "P-Please help us! She's only 7, please!" You pleaded, crying harder and hoping that this day would bring some good news.

She has something called 'Miranthriel Disease' which is something Angels can suffer from. She's a Nephilim so her body so affected by it. The disease is like frontotemporal dementia, where parts of your brain which are responsible for thougths, decision making and more shrink in size and reduce the effectiveness of those actions, but it affects the grace of the Angel. It slowly causes the grace to eat itself and drown out, but while doing so affects the hosts body and the her existence of the Angel to disappear too. In the end the Angel slowly dies and there's nothing that can be done to stop it, other than pray and hope that you can fight it off after receiving a treatment.

It's like cancer for Angels... painful for the host and even more painful for the people around them.

The worst part about it for you? It's your daughter who has it and she's just a small girl, who was about to discover what living life is for the first time.

She'll probably never get to experience it.

Back at the Bunker, you and Cas decided not to tell her for her own emotional sake. Sam and Dean, as soon as they found out, hit the books and their contacts for any sign of hope to get out of this situation.

You spend time with [y/d/n], she was feeling a little hungry so you made her a grilled cheese sandwich. Castiel watched you quietly, a soft smile on his face, then he walked towards the Bunker door and headed out.

He wanted a few moments to himself, to collect his thoughts and have some sort of guidance to help him and his family through this.

Cas loves his daughter more than anything, he can't imagine being without her and not having her positivity and cheerfulness in his life.

The Angel walked ahead, looking at the sun setting in the sky, while the birds flew to their nests for the night. The wind blew softly on his face, he shut his eyes slowly enjoying the atmosphere and the fresh air.

He came to a hill, and sat on the grass with his legs crossed. He watched the lights and cars drive below into town.

All those people... they probably have such a mundane life, He thought and sighed.

He put his hands together then looked to the sky for a second before shutting his eyes. "Father... I know that you are aware of what's happening with my [y/d/n]. I want to thank you for all the happiness you have brought to my life, to [y/n]'s life as well. I would have NEVER thought of having a child, and it is all thanks to you," Castiel said, a tear escaped his eye and he opened his eyes.

"Please, Father help us out and make [y/d/n] better. She deserves to see the world, she has so much yet to do and make a difference to the people around her. Please help her, she's going through s-so much..." Castiel stopped talking and stared at the grassy ground, tears blurring his vision.

"Sh-She's in so m-much pain and it aches me to s-see her like that. Please Father, please I'm begging that you make her better," He continued to pray, "Sh-She... She's such an amazing young girl and I would be devastated at the loss of her by our side. She's given me hope and courage and determination and if I lose her, I'll lose all of that."

He rubbed his eyes and burried his face in his hands, "Father I've been a good soldier, I've tried my best to do what is more suited for your creations so please... p-please help my baby girl and make her better. That is all in asking."

He looked to the sky and sniffed, "Please..."

Castiel sat there for a few moments to steady his emotions then got up and continued to walk down to the main town, to get some ice cream for his girls and the Winchesters at the Bunker.

Fate... isn't it such an interesting concept?

Though sometimes, some actions can change the course of your future, for [y/d/n] this time... She shall continue to enjoy her life till she sleeps for all her time left.

This time, though Castiel hopes, there's nothing he can do to change her future.

Heaven just received another soul for a stay.
