Just an idea I haven't fleshed out yet. 

She would be Bonnie's half-sister and her twin sister through Heteropaternal superfecundation. They share a mother but her father would be a fairy. 

So she would have fairy powers that work in the same way as Fate: The Winx Club, and given the face claim I have in mind, she would be an Earth Fairy and then inherit magic from her mother's bloodline. The Earth fairy also works well with the nature link seen in the TVD traditional witches. 

I would like for her fairy father to be around at least in the beginning. 

Thinking Stefan pairing (as Damon already has a fairy love interest)
