~Chapter 59~

"Alright nobody panic." I said carefully as I stood in the centre of the living room with everyone looking up at me from the sofas. "Dena is there any way you can brew up a potion to turn us all back to normal?"

"Sorry but I don't have the skill or the memory any more." She said as she led back, putting her hands behind her head.

"Okay. Amanda. Do you remember what you made that potion out of?" I asked hopefully.

"Nope."

"Nothing at all?"

"Nope."

"Never mind then."

"In situations like these theirs only one thing that comes to mind!" Said Phoebe speaking up triumphantly.

"Situations like these?" I mumbled as she pulled out her phone and after quickly dialling put it to her ear.

"Hi Jacaboo. It's Phoebe. Me and my friends are in a bit of a predicament and it would really make me feel better if you were over here to help take care of me in my current...condition......okay...see you soon. Love you. Bye." She grinned at us expectantly as she put her phone down.

"How is your bf supposed to help? He's only mortal isn't he?" Asked Vivian perplexed.

"Moral support!" Phoebe raised her hands in the air as she said it.

"You know what I could really use Alex too." Said Amanda as she fumbled in her pocket and also brought out her phone. Within a few minutes everyone had either called or texted their boyfriends. Nymph needed help dialling Ash's number. The only one left out was me. Though I wasn't particularly distressed about not having Ikuto throwing himself at me for once.

Within seconds of awkward silence and waiting the door bell finally rang. From under the sofa Death suddenly appeared and started yapping at the front door like any typical puppy. I scooped him up as Dena opened the door.

"Alex!" Amanda threw herself at Alex as soon as he walked through the door after Ash. Smashing her lips against his there was a soft popping noise and Alex vanished. "Alex?" She said confused as she looked around.

"Is that what normally happens when you kiss someone Dena?" Asked Vivian as she held onto the arm of the sofa in an attempt to try and stop herself floating off.

"No! I can control my powers!" Sid Dena flustered.

"Alex!" Amanda bent down and stared at the large frog which had appeared in Alex's place. "Alex?" She picked it up by one of its back legs and lifted it off the ground.

"Why don't you try kissing it?" I suggested as the frog spun slowly around in Amanda's grasp.

"Ew gross!" Said Vivian fully enjoying herself.

"If you think that'll work..." Said Amanda uncertainly as she very lightly kissed the frog in the head. There was another poof and Alex reappeared. Sat on the floor and looking around in a daze.

"What just...happened?" He asked confused.

"All that matters is that you're here now!" She said hugging him tightly.

"Right..." I said as I looked at the four new members of this bizarre family. "I may have some idea as to how we can turn ourselves back to normal. Although while I'm doing that I need you guys to take care of these useless girls of mine." I instructed sternly.

"What are we supposed to do?" Asked Takuto as he held Vivian's hand, pulling her back down from the ceiling.

"I dunno." I said as I made my way to the back door. "Have a pool party or something. It's there for a reason." I walked out the back door and carefully made my way over to the Den. I could here splashes and yelling in the background as I stumbled over mounds, dragging my large wings and tail behind.

I had to give credit to Phoebe and Vivian. These wings were ridiculously heavy. How they managed to walk around with them, or even fly was impossible for me to even think about. It reminded me when we entered the virtual work and suddenly having the weight of dragon wings on our backs. No wonder Phoebe and Vivian had no problem keeping them off the ground.

"Hello?" I said quietly as I peered into Phoebe's dragon Den. Hearing no response but knowing that Rin was in there I ventured in. Most of the brightly coloured baby dragons were playing tug of war with bones or play fighting. They were cute now but would become harder to handle when they grow older. Having refused flat down to allow Phoebe to have a real full grown dragon she managed to twist my arm and get lots of miniature dragons instead. However Pixie was a whole other matter.

"I knew you'd understand." Hearing Rin's voice I peered around a stalagmite and saw Rin sat cross legged holding a bronze dragon up in his hands. Curiously I stood there silently. Waiting to see what would happen next. "All the other dragons just ignore me but you're different Mr Bubbles." He continued chatting away happily to the dragon who obviously didn't give a fuck. And Mister Bubbles?

"Ahem." I stepped out.

"Astria?!" Rin's ears went red as he quickly put down the dragon. It rolled over and fell asleep instantly as he stood up.

"Am I interrupting your conversation with Mister Bubbles?" I said politely strolling over, hands behind my back.

"No!" He said quickly and loudly.

I smiled amusingly and then remembered why I'd come there.

"Oh right! I need your help. Amanda had a bit of an accident with a potion and swapped all our powers around." I spread out my fiery wings best I could for Rin to see.

"Yeah...I can tell." He mumbled as he circled me.

"Anyway. I figured that maybe you or your brother could help. Or even your bewitching butler." I said hopefully.

"My brother?! Well he'd undoubtedly have potions that may be able to help. But I don't think he'd be too willing to cooperate." He said doubtfully as he stopped circling.

"Should I go with you?"

"No! No...that'd just cause an even bigger ruckus. How about I sneak into his castle. Steal a bunch of potions and bring them back here?"

"That'd be amazing!" I said lighting up.

"You really need to change back that badly?"

"Yes !"

"Alright. But on one condition."

"What's that?" I asked uncertainly.

"I need help getting back to my brothers place. I have absolutely no clue where it is." He said weakly.

"I think I can actually sort something out." I said thoughtfully.

After enticing Pixie out of the lake on onto land I managed to bribe her with lots of fish into taking Rin back to the castle. Her having a keen sense of smell it shouldn't be that hard for her to find her way back. Plus I'd feel a lot better knowing Rin wouldn't be on his own.

"Bye!" I yelled as Pixie disappeared into the trees. "Now to see how everyone's doing."

They were having a great time. Dena and Alex had set up two deck chairs to sit on, Ash was throwing Nymph around in the pool (I noticed that she had managed to turn back into a humanoid form again but the ears and tail still remained), Takuto was sat on the side of the pool with Vivian diving in and out of the pool as a ghost. Amanda seemed to be trying to convince Alex to get in the water and Jacob was helping Phoebe get used to swimming was only one leg.

"Having fun guys?" I said as I strolled over.

"Hi Astria!" Said Amanda enthusiastically as she adjusted the purple bow on the front of her white bikini bra. "Astria make Alex get in the water!" She said suddenly.

"Amanda if I get in the water I might end up electrocuting all of you." Said Alex exhausted from having to repeat himself.

"I don't care about that!" She pouted angrily. "And what's up with Ash?! He has no shirt on so he should be sparkling in the sun!" She pointed at Ash.

"Amanda I'm not from some Twilight movie. How could you think I'm even like those Vampires?" Said Ash as lifted Nymph onto his shoulders in the pool. Her tail wagged happily through the cut out hole in her pink swim suit.

"Incase you were wondering I went and talked to Rin and he said he could get us some potions that might change us back." I said sitting down at the end of Dena's deck chair. Looking out over the pool.

As if upon hearing his name Pixie came hurtling out of the bushes and splashed into the pool. Nymph and Amanda screamed happily as they were splashed by the giant wave.

"Hi Pixie." Said Nymph as she patted her dragon lovingly on the head.

"Astria..." A voice wheezed as Rin trampled through the bushes. "Got your potions..." He stumbled and dropped all the glasses.

"Rin?! That was fast!" I rushed over and helped him up. He had a black eye and a cut lip. "Were you attacked by a monster?! Was it your brother?!" I asked shocked.

"Nope. Just one pissed off bear." He said wearily.

Suddenly remembering I didn't bother asking his he'd snuck in or whether his brother had seen him I grabbed a random bottle.

"This looks good enough." I grabbed Nymph and hoisted up the side of the pool by her costume and tipped the bottle out at my feet. It immediately went up in a pink smoke and I felt the weight vanish from my shoulders and my tail bone lengthen as I grew back into my wolfy features. "Thanks Rin." I said before releasing Nymph and rushing into the house locking myself in my bedroom.

He had made it just in time. I could already see the silver highlights appearing amongst my soft brown hair in the mirror. Everyone would eventually use the right potions and turn back to normal solving that problem. But I had a whole lonely few days ahead of me. And I'd hate every second of it.
