
Jus in Bello
Sam and I rush into the bedroom then Dean follows and shuts the door. We began to search the room, Dean checks the drawers, Sam checks the safe and I check the closet. "Any sign of it?" Dean asked us. "Nothing." Sam said as I shake my head. "Are you sure this is Bela's room?" I asked him then he holds up two wigs and shows them to us. "I'd say so." Dean said.
Suddenly the phone rings and the three of us share a look. Dean walks to the phone and looks at Sam who shakes his head. Dean picks up the phone and answers it cautiously there was a pause and Dean's face, harden. "Where are you?" He asked and I knew that it had to be Bela.
"Where?" he asked, angrily. "I want it back, Bela…now." He growls and Sam and I share a glance before watching Dean again. "You understand how many people are gonna die if you do this? Take the only weapon we have against an army of demons and sell it to the highest bidder." he said. "I know I'm gonna stop you." He mutters then he smirks a bit. "Oh, I'll find you, sweetheart. You know why? Because I have absolutely nothing better to do than to track you down." He said but then he gives me and Sam a look of worry.
Suddenly police officers burst into the room and point guns at us, we raise our hands above our heads. "Hands in the air! Down on your knees." The officers orders us and I roll my eyes at this. "That bitch!" I growled. "Turn around! Now!" One of the officers ordered before they force us to lie down on the floor.
"Sam and Dean Winchester and (y/n) (l/n), you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney and have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a Lawyer, one will be appointed for you at government expense." The officer said as we saw feet coming at us. We look up to see an FBI Agent standing over us with a smirk.
This had to be Henriksen the FBI agent that had been chasing after us and who I was able to avoid until now.
"Hi guys…It's been a while." he said to the boys then he looks at me. "And the elusive (y/n). Not as good as you thought." He said then the boys and I share a look before Dean closes his eyes and lays his head on the floor.
Shackled together, Dean, Sam and I were lead into the police station, two officers were standing by as our guards. We enter the main room and see Henriksen, the Sheriff and the secretary. "Why all the sourpusses?" Dean asked, in a joking manner, before he smiles. I look at the name plate on the secretary's desk, which reads NANCY FITZGERALD, Secretary. She looked at us, afraid, before she grabs her rosary. "I'll show you to the cells." One of the officers said and he grabs Dean's arm.
"Hey! Hey! Watch the merchandise!" Dean yells as I noticed Nancy was watching us, scared. 'We're not the ones you should be scared of, Nancy." I tell her just as we were lead to the cell.
Moments later, we were brought to the cell and the police left us alone. Dean heads for the bed and Sam to the door which then started to pull my legs as I was chained in the middle, Dean on my left and Sam on my right. They both almost fall because of the chain and I yelped in pain from the pull of the chains on my legs.
"Boys, come on!" I growled, annoyed. "All right, all right." Dean said then he gets up and looks at the bed behind us. "Sit?" he asked us after Sam gets up. "Yeah." Sam and I said and we awkwardly sit on the bed. "How we gonna Houdini out of this one?" Dean asked us. "Good question." Sam said as I look around the cell, like this place could provide an answer.
Later, we hear footsteps and see that Henriksen had walked up to the cell and stares at us. "You know what I'm trying to decide?" he asked us and Sam turns away from him and Dean rolls his eyes. "I don't know. What? Whether Cialis will help you with your little condition?" I asked, snarkily, and Dean chuckles a bit.
"What to have for dinner tonight. Steak or lobster, what the hell, surf and turf." Henriksen said and Dean smirks, cynically. "I got a lot to celebrate. I mean, after all, seeing you three in chains…" he said and Dean looks up at him. "You kinky son of a bitch. We don't swing that way. And I'm spoken for." Dean said as he nods his head towards me then Henriksen chuckles. "Now, that's funny. And how sweet, the modern day Bonnie and Clyde." he said.
"You know, I wouldn't bust out the melted butter just yet. Couldn't catch us at the bank, couldn't keep us in that jail." Dean said and I nod. "Plus, I've avoided you this long." I added and Henriksen nods. "You're right. Screwed up. I underestimated you. I didn't count on you being that smart but now I'm ready." He said.
"Yeah, ready to lose us again?" Dean asked. "Ready like a court order to keep you in a Supermaximum prison in Nevada till trial. Ready like isolation in a soundproof, windowless cell, so that between you and me…probably unconstitutional." Henriksen said and the boys and I share a worried look, realizing Henriksen is serious.
"How's that for ready?" Henriksen asked, smugly, but Dean doesn't say anything, neither do Sam and I. "Take a good look at Sam and (y/n); you three will never see each other again." he said as the boys and I look at Henriksen, disconcerted.
"Where's that smug smile, Dean? I want to see it." Henriksen said and Dean shakes his head, disbelief. "You got the wrong guys." Dean tells him. "Oh, yeah. I forgot. You fight monsters. Sorry, Dean. Truth is, your daddy and Mr (l/n) brainwashed you three with all that devil talk and no doubt touched you guys in a bad place. That's all, that's reality." Henriksen said and I turn my head towards him and glared at him.
"Why don't you shut your mouth?" I growled at him, angrily. "Well, guess what. Life sucks. Get a helmet. ‘Cause everybody's got a sob story. But not everybody becomes a killer." Henriksen said when we hear the sound of a helicopter approaching. "And now I have three less to worry about." Henriksen said then he looks at his watch and smiles.
"It's surf and turf time." He laughs and Sam, Dean and I watch Henriksen leave. Dean smiles cynically while I just feel stressed out and tapped my foot a bit.
Minutes later, a man in a suit enters the cell area and closes the main door to the office area. Dean stands up and looks at the man as he walks up to our cells. "Sam and Dean Winchester and (y/n) (l/n). I'm Deputy Director Steven Groves. This is a pleasure." He introduced as Sam and I go to stand up as well.
"Well, glad one of us feels that way." Dean grumbles. "I've been waiting a long time for you two to come out of the woodwork." Steven said then, suddenly, points his gun and shoots Dean in his left shoulder. "Dean!" I exclaimed as Dean's blood sprays to the wall. Dean grunts and falls back, while Sam jumps up and grapples with Steven through the bars.
Dean falls on the bed and I go to his aid as Steven fires several more shots, narrowly missing us. I turn my head and see that Steven's eyes had turn black and Sam begins an exorcism in Latin, which causes Steven's head to whip from side to side. "Sorry. Got to cut this short. It's gonna be a long night, kiddos." He said and black smoke leaves Steven's body as Dean sits up, clutching his shoulder.
Then the black smoke disappears into the ceiling air vent and Steven falls to the ground. Seconds later, Henriksen and the other officers rush in and noticed that Sam had Steven's gun. "Put the gun down!" One of them ordered as they aim their gun at Sam. "Wait. Okay. Wait." Sam said. "He shot him!" Another officer said.
"I didn't shoot him. I didn't shoot anyone." Sam shouts. "He shot me!" Dean shouts. "It's true!" I shouted but Henriksen said. "Get on your knees."
"Okay, okay, okay. Don't shoot. Please. Look. Here. Here." Sam said and he passes the gun through the bars. "We didn't shoot him. Check the body. There's no blood. We did not kill him." I said and the officers just look at each other. "Go ahead, check him." Sam said and one of the officers, Reidy I believe his badge said, checks Steven's body.
"Vic, there's no bullet wound." Reidy said. "He's probably been dead for months." Dean informs. "What did you do to him?" Henriksen asked. "We didn't do anything." Dean yells at him. "Talk or I shoot." Henriksen orders as he holds his gun at us. "You won't believe us." I said to him but Sam speaks up.
"He was possessed." Sam replied. "Possessed? Right. Fire up the chopper! We're taking them out of here now." Henriksen said, obviously annoyed. "Yeah! Do that!" Dean shouts and Reidy pulls out his walkie talkie. "Bill? Bill, are you there?" He calls but there's no answer from the walkie. Henriksen nods to Reidy to check outside.
The two other policemen continued to point their guns at us until we heard a loud explosion moments later. Then Henriksen pulls out his walkie and said. "What the hell was that? Reidy? Reidy?!" He calls out but no answer. "What the hell was that? Come in? Reidy? Reidy?" He yells but nothing and he and the others leave the cell.
The boys and I share a look before we just sit and wait for anything else. That is until the lights go out and we stand up.
"That can't be good." Dean said and I shake my head.
Later, Sam and I were helping with Dean's wound while he grunts. "All right, don't be such a wuss." I commented. "I'll remember that when you get shot in the shoulder." Dean said with a snark when we heard footsteps coming. We look up to see Henriksen coming in.
"What's the plan? Kill everyone in the station, bust you three out?" he asked us. "What the hell are you talking about?" I asked him. "I'm talking about your psycho friends. I'm talking about the blood bath." Henriksen yells. "Okay, I promise you whoever's out there is not here to help us." Dean said.
"Look, you got to believe us. Everyone here is in terrible danger." Sam said. "You think?" Henriksen asked, sarcastically. "Why don't you let us out of here so we can save your asses?" I asked him. "From what? You gonna say demons?" He asked then he raises his gun, pointed at the ceiling, for emphasis. "Don't you dare say demons. Let me tell you something. You should be a lot more scared of me." Henriksen growls, threatening, then he leaves.
"How's the shoulder?" Sam asked Dean as he takes away a pad of toilet paper with a large blood stain on it. "It's awesome." he said, with sarcasm, then tosses away the pad. "I'll live. You know, if we get out of here alive. So you guys got a plan?" Dean said to us just as Sam checks Dean's exit wound on the back of his shoulder. Dean grimaces in pain then he looks over my shoulder.
"Hey." He whispers as he nods forward and Sam looks up and I turn to see Nancy was by the corner. "Hey…" Sam said and Nancy backs off, scared. "Uh, please, please. We need your help. It's…it's Nancy. Nancy, right?" Sam asked her, calmly, but she just looks at Sam.
"Nancy, my…my brother's been shot. He's…He's bleeding really bad. You think maybe you could get us a towel? Please? Just one clean towel?" He asked and she looked unsure and still a bit afraid. "Look, look at us. We're not the bad guys. I swear." Sam said and Dean and I give Nancy a smile and she leaves us. Sam sighs as I patted his shoulder. "Nice try." Dean said.
Sam sighs again, then we turn around and see that Nancy had come back with a clean towel. "Thank you." Sam said and Nancy comes closer to the boys, carefully. "It's okay." Sam said as he holds out his handcuffed hands. Nancy puts the towel inside the bars and she gives a smile to him.
Suddenly Sam grabs Nancy's arm and drags her against the bars, making her scream. One of the officers runs in with his rifle. "Let her go! Let her go!" He shouts and Sam lets Nancy go and she backs away, scared. "You're okay, Nance?" The officer asked as he points his rifle at Sam. She backs away terrified and the officer looks back at Sam.
"Try something again, get shot. And not in the arm." he threatens. "Okay." Sam said and the two walk away. After they leave, I hit Sam in the arm. "What the hell was that?" I asked him then Sam holds up Nancy's rosary to us.
Dean was pressing the towel to his wound as we sit on the bed again. "We're like sitting ducks in here." Sam states. "Yeah, I know." said Dean. "No kidding." I grumbled then Dean sighs. "Would it kill these cops to bring us a snack?!" He shouts the last words.
"How many you figure are out there, guys?" Sam asked us. "I don't know." Dean replied. "However many they are, they could be possessing anyone. Anyone could just walk right in." I said. "It's kind of wild, right? I mean it's like they're coming for us. They've never done that before." Dean said before he smiles. "It's like we got a contract on us. Think it's because we're so awesome? I think it's ‘cause we're so awesome." He said as he smiles again, but stops smiling after Sam and I look at him, unamused.
But then the sheriff comes in and unlocks our cell. "Well, howdy, there, Sheriff." Dean greets as we stand up while the Sheriff opens the cell door. "Uh, Sheriff?" I asked him as he had his head down. "It's time to go." He said but we step back as he comes into the cell.
"Uh…you know what? We're just comfy right here. But thank you." Dean said as Henriksen appears at the door of the cell. "What do you think you're doing?" He asked the Sheriff. "We're not just gonna sit around here and wait to die. We're gonna make a run for it." said the Sheriff. "It's safer here." Henriksen said, firmly.
"There's a SWAT facility in Boulder." the Sheriff informs as Henriksen comes inside the cell. "We're not going anywhere." he growls. "The hell we're not." the Sheriff said before Henriksen shots him in the head.
We grapple with Henriksen and Sam and I push Henriksen's head into the toilet and Sam begins an exorcism. Footsteps were heard and I turn my head just as the last officer runs around the corner with his rifle. Dean points Henriksen's gun at him. "Stay back!" Dean yells as Henriksen lifts his head up out of the water, his face is burning.
I shove him back into the toilet bowl, where Nancy's rosary is floating, as Sam continues the exorcism. "Hurry up!" Dean yells to Sam as Henriksen lifts his head again, his eyes black. "It's too late. I already called them. They're already coming." He said and I shove him back into the water then Sam finishes the exorcism.
Henriksen screams as black smoke shoots out of his mouth and up to the air vent in the ceiling. Henriksen falls to the floor as Sam breathes heavily. "Is he… is he dead?" Nancy asked but then Henriksen regains consciousness and coughs. "Henriksen! Hey. Is that you in there?" Sam asked and after a few moments, Henriksen gets up and sits on the bed.
"I…I shot the Sheriff." he said in disbelief, then I close my eyes for a moment. "Don't say it, don't say it." I muttered under my breath before Dean says. "But you didn't shoot the Deputy."
I sighed with exasperation before I elbow Dean in his side as Sam stares at him in disbelief. "Five minutes ago, I was fine, and then…" Henriksen said, still shocked at what happened. "Let me guess. Some nasty black smoke jammed itself down your throat?" Dean asked him and he looks up at Dean, wide-eyed. "You were possessed." Sam tells him.
"Possessed like…possessed." Henriksen said and I nod. "That's what it feels like. Now you know." I said. "I owe the biggest I told you so ever." Dean said but he gives Henriksen back his gun. Henriksen takes the gun, stares at us for a few seconds then said. "Officer Amici. Keys..."
Amici gives Henriksen the keys and he unlocks us from our chains as they fall to the floor. "All right, so how do we survive?" Henriksen asked us and the boys and I share a look before start to tell them what we have to do.
