006: The feast fest I

The bell rang vigorously, signifying the end of lessons for the rest of the day. The pack went to the library to search for anything that could help them on their new mission.

Flipping through one book to the next, they all desperately scanned through, hoping one would hold a single detail that might be a lead on finding the dragon's grimoire.

"Looking for something?" Opal's voice echoed through the library as she and the rest of Elda's minions entered the room.

"Opal! What are you guys doing here?" Misha asked.

"Last time I checked, this is the library and not your room wolf shifter." Opal responded irritatedly.

"Opal come on, that's not why we came here…" Zadi hushed her friend.

"What do you guys want?" Jessa frowned as she stood akimbo.

"Actually… we have been planning on talking to you guys since the whole Kristoff thing and wanting to lock you guys in crystal prisons." Zadi explained.

"What for?" Jessa asked.

"We don't hate you, you know that right? We might not get along but at the end, we are all supernaturals." Shan spoke up. "We are not asking to be friends with you but we just want you to know that we don't hate you."

"Uh?... Thanks?" Jessa responded.

"You're welcome." Shan smiled. "We've cleared our conscience now, let's go girls."

Shan and the rest exited the library.

"Okay that was very weird… you guys used to be rivals?" Sarah asked.

"More than rivals. There was this girl named Elda, she was the mean girl of supernatural academy and her hunger for power led her astray. Her dad was the one who woke the dragon king initially and he died in his hands. We don't really know the details but our mom told us she was trying to break the barrier and that was the very day we saw her last." Jessa explained.

"Wow, that's deep." Sarah expressed with a sigh.

"I have a great idea, how about Sarah asks Lienda and Jonathan about what they know about the dragon king? But you tell them it's a school project, what do you think?" Michael suggested.

"Why me?" Sarah cringed her head.

"Cause you're perfect for the job."

"I have an even greater idea, how about WE ask them together? It's sure to work." Sarah smiled.

"Okay sure, together." Michael said with a grin.

"Sure thing then, let's all return to the library later tonight to continue our search." Jae added.

On arriving at Jonathan's office, lucky for the duo, Lienda was there as well. " Jonathan, Lienda, we would like it if you could spare us a minute." Sarah smiled.

"Sure, is anything troubling you?" Lienda asked with a welcoming smile.

"It's nothing but uhm... Sarah has something to ask you." Michael stepped back by a few steps with a wide smile on his face.

"Michael!" Sarah grunted.

"What's wrong dear?" Lienda asked.

"Uhm... We have this project about the dragon king and I know nothing about it except from the confusing visions I get sometimes so I felt maybe you could share some of your divine knowledge with me." Sarah explained with a smile.

"Oh okay then, I suppose Jonathan and I can be of assistance." Lienda placed her hand on Jonathan's.

"Oh okay then, what would you like to know?" Jonathan asked.

"Uhm... We would like to know the origin, how and when did it all begin?" Sarah asked.

"My granddad told me stories about the dragon king when I was little, the thing is, we don't actually know much about him either but what I heard was he was once a man like us, walking on two legs, eating with his arms, combing his hair, things we all do." Jonathan explained as he sat up straight in his chair.

"Really? A human? Then what happened?" Sarah inquired as her brown eyes grew wider.

"We... don't really know, maybe he was cursed or something. We know he was all round shifter like Michael so maybe he got stuck in dragon mode? I don't know." Jonathan shrugged.

"Or maybe he decided not to transform to human again because he felt humans were weak and feeble." Michael added.

"Maybe, but I guess we will never know." Lienda said. "Well that's all we know, please do us a favor and gather your friends so you can all help with preparing for the feast fest."

"Yes ma'am." Sarah smiled before running off with Michael.

"A human?!" Max exclaimed surprisingly.

"I know right?" Michael said.

"Why don't we hurry to do the little we can and return to the library on time?" Terra suggested.

"Good idea." Jessa confirmed.

They went to meet Lienda and Jonathan who directed them on the little things they needed to get done before running off after their separate chores were completed.

Back in the library again, they decided to look around, one book at a time, in case there was a detail they missed.

"Ugh... We have been at this all day and still nothing!" Brax grunted tiredly. "Are we ever going to find anything?"

"Tame your dragon, Brax, we have to keep searching if we are ever going to find anything." Jae expressed with a role of his eyes as he kept searching through the stack of books.

"Yeah lil bro, it would be faster if you could, I don't know, make use of your hands by searching as well." Max said.

"What about making use of your speed, big bro? Cause I mean, you're super fast and I am super tired." Brax crossed his hands.

"Quit whining and assist us Brax!" Jessa frowned as she climbed up the library's ladder.

"Alright alright." He rolled his eyes. "Look, I am making use of my hands." He said as he touched each book as he walked past them.

"Woah!!!" He exclaimed as he pushed one of the books on the shelf that opened up another room in the library which Brax fell into.

"Brax!" Jessa exclaimed in fear as her eyes grew wider.
