Prologue

A group of weary demigods gathered in front of the half-destroyed Big House. They were  bruised, bloody, and broken. They had killed many enemies, but also lost many friends. The battle against the Earth Mother had demolished Camp Half-Blood, and the demigods that considered the haven their home would have gone with it, if not for three factors.

Camp Jupiter had put aside their differences (cough, issues, cough,) and joined with Camp Half-Blood

The gods took a hand in the battle and granted their children more power(they were unable to actually take part in the battle. I wonder why?)

The last, and perhaps most important factor…. The Seven of the Prophecy

The seven had come in like hurricanes(in Percy's case, that was meant literally). Every enemy in their path fell that day, and their comrades rose again. The final fight was exhausting.

The seven had managed to make it to the center of the enemy. Gaea. They fought her, mother earth evading every attack. The battle raged around them, until Jason landed a hit on Gaea. Her deafening scream of shock rang around the clearing, bounced off the trees, and echoed to the farthest corner of Camp Half-Blood.

The piercing silence was broken by Percy darting forward to resume his attack. Gaea was too surprised to deflect the cut. It wasn't that the small slice Jason managed to get through her defense hurt, it was the fact that the wound wasn't healing.

It was the fact that Gaea could be defeated.

The seven resumed their attack with renewed vigor. Gaea couldn't go unscathed underneath the sudden onslaught of attacks. Monsters and demigods alike paused in the fighting, all solely focused on the battle in front of them, the one that would most likely decide the outcome of the war.

Gaea was slowing down. It was barely noticeable, but if you looked closely, you would be able to see that she barely managed to dodge and block her attackers.

And the seven demigods, most with their ADHD, and even those select few without, with all their attention focused on the Earth Mother, most definitely noticed the almost invisible change.

And it gave them hope.

A small burn given by Leo and Festus, boosted by Hephestus. A cut from Katropis, wielded by Piper and allowed by the onslaught of doves blinding Gaea, granted by Aphrodite. A twisted ankle caused by a split in the ground, courtesy of Hazel and Pluto. A bleeding thigh caused by Frank, ultra fast because of Mars.

But the demigods were tiring as well. Piper stumbled and sprained her wrist. Frank teetered in the air in the form of an eagle.

Annabeth saw that. She gathered Jason and Percy, and explained her plan. It was risky, but friends were about to be killed, and the boys were willing to do anything.

And that is why, as Gaea was poised to strike at Piper's heart, as Hazel tumbled from Arion into the ground and caught hold of the edge of the newly opened cliff, and Frank made a desperate, hopeless dive to save his girlfriend, and Leo steered Festus to to the ground because he knew that Jason would be devastated if he lost Piper, that is why Jason and Percy attacked at the same time.

Jason was boosted by Jupiter, and Thalia, who had been charged by Zeus, had transferred her energy to her brother. He wrecked havoc as he rained down lighting on Gaea, using the wind to keep her off balance.

But Percy… Percy was a real reason they had won the war.

He was a monster at that moment. He was a whirlpool. A tsunami. A hurricane.

Percy Jackson….  is the defeater of Gaea.

And all that led to the demigods lined up in front of the Big House. The gods had already expressed their gratitude,(Zeus quite reluctantly).

A deafening sound once again rang echoed around the camp. But this time it was cheering. Cheering for the seven demigods of Olympus.

Percy POV

I looked around camp and smiled. Gaea was defeated, and everything was back to normal.

Wait, what was I saying? Nothing will ever be normal again. My smile faded as I thought of the countless demigods lost in this war.

But my trademark grin was back in a second. I had learned my lesson in the first Giant War. Those who had fallen would not want us to mourn them. They would want us to live our life to the fullest, because they didn't get to fully live theirs. They would want us to live their lives for them. They would want us to do all the things they never got to do. Because as long as we kept them in our hearts, they would be with us in spirit.

"Wow, that was poetic."I thought. I've been spending too much time with Jason.

"Percy!" A voice shouted. Travis Stoll jogged up to me. Or was it Connor?

"Chiron wants to see you in the big house."

I nodded to him, whichever twin they were, and jogged up the path to the big house.

When I got there, I knocked on the door and it opened to reveal Piper.

"Oh." I said, surprised. I thought Chiron only needed me. "Umm…. Chiron said he wanted to see me?"

"Oh. Yeah." Piper said. I thought she looked nervous. That was weird. What did she have to be nervous about? "Come on in. The rest of the seven are already here."

I gave her a confused smile, and walked in. My smile instantly disappeared as I walked into the main room and saw none other than Paul there.

Paul was bloodied, bruised, and he looked defeated. It was only then I realized that he was in an Iris Message.

"What!" I said urgently. I felt a sense of dread. Why wasn't my mom calling? "What's wrong?"

Paul's face was grim. "Percy… I'm so sorry… your mother is dead."

I felt great sadness, then the unmistakable surge of anger. "Who killed her! What monster? I'll murder them!"

I glared at Paul unintentionally, it wasn't his fault, but I still saw him flinch. "Was it Kelli? The Minotaur?"

This time it was Chiron who answered. "Percy… it wasn't a monster. At least not a Greek one."

"What?" My brain couldn't comprehend what was going on. "Was it Roman then? Or Norse? I know Annabeth's cousin is a Norse demigod!"

"No.. Percy, she was killed by a thief. A… human thief." Paul hesitantly spoke. "I'm so sorry… I was at work and I found them when I got home. The thief shot Sally when she tried to stop him from stealing family heirlooms."

I took a deep breath."It's not your fault Paul. No one should have to see that when they come home. But I am angry about why did no one stop them? I wish people like Spiderman exist. Superheroes who save people from muggers and thieves."

"I know." Annabeth said, shaking her head sadly. "But heroes like that don't exist."

"Wow, you all really don't get any information in the camp, do you?" Paul said suddenly.

All the demigods and Chiron turned to look at him. Seeing the questioning stares, he ele orated. "There are heroes like that. Haven't you heard of the Justice League?"

We all shook our heads.

Time Skip While Paul Tells the Seven About the Justice League and Young Justice.

"I am going to become a superhero." I said determinedly. "I won't let what happened to my mother happen to others."

Annabeth dramatically sighed. "And I'll be one one with you. Otherwise you'll probably kill yourself on the first day."

"I'll go too." Jason added with a grin. "I have your back."

"Count me in." Piper interjected. "Who else is going to defend you from these goodie goodies?"

"Reyna can do without me." Frank decided. "Dakota can fill in."

"If Frank's in, so am I." Hazel declared. "Besides, Percy, you are like a older brother to me."

"Hell, YEAH!" Leo shouted. "The world needs to know about Leo McShizzle Man!"

We all burst out laughing.

Hey Bookworms! This is Wild_Dragon Girl! I hope you like this book. I have no set updating schedule, but I'll try to update at least once a week. I'm sorry if I don't update once a week, but I do have two other stories and one collaboration story. It is summer, as you know, so we may update less frequently due to vacation and other things.
