Nina was in her room the next night when she heard a loud noise from the boys room. Being her curious self, she walked over to their room to see Hiro was banging his head against his desk that was full of wads of paper.

" Okay, do I even wanna know what happened?" Nina asked as she leaned against the doorframe.

" He can't think of an idea for SFIT's Showcase." Tadashi calmly stated.

Hiro lifted his head and waved his arms around dramatically. " I can't think of an idea for SFIT's Showcase. My brain is empty."

Nina chuckled and Hiro glared at her. " Don't laugh at me. You probably came up with a good idea right when you knew when the showcase was happening."

Nina shook her head while Tadashi laughed. " She had the same trouble you do now, Hiro."

Nina glared at him. " It's not funny, Tadashi."

Tadashi chuckles. " It's a little funny."

Hiro sighs and leans his head on his hand that rested on of the arm of the chair he sat in. " I got nothing! I'm never getting in."

" Hey," Tadashi walked over and turned Hiro around so he was facing him. " I'm not giving up on you."

Nina smiled, thinking it was great at how much Tadashi believed in his younger brother. She walked over to them, a determined look on her face. " I'm not giving up on you either."

Hiro looks over at her with a small smile, but then screams as Tadashi suddenly lifts him up in the air. Nina laughs as Tadashi holds Hiro by his ankles over his shoulders, but Hiro didn't seem to like it. " What are you doing?"

Tadashi sent her a wink and she smiles, knowing he had an idea to help Hiro think of something for the showcase.

She watches as Tadashi moves around the room while holding Hiro upside down. " Shake things up. Use that big brain of yours to think your way out."

" What?" Hiro breathed.

" Look for a new angle." Tadashi told him.

Hiro sighs as he leans back with his arms hanging down. He looks at his Megabot from being upside down, but then he turns his head and looks at it right side up. " Huh."

Nina grinned, knowing that look on his face. It was his thinking look and that meant he had an idea.

Hours passed with Hiro making his project he was going to show on Showcase night at SFIT. Nina helped him with however he would need help. Tadashi and his friends even stopped by a few times and helped him.

Soon it was time for the showcase. Nina, along with everyone else, helped Hiro with bringing the cans of megabots to SFIT and they were now walking inside, rolling the blue bins to the stage.

" Wow, lots of cool technology here today." Tadashi said as he looked around. He looked at his younger brother. " How are you feeling?"

" You're talking to a Ex Bot Fighter. It takes a lot than this to rattle me." Hiro says as he shrugs his shoulders. 

" He's nervous." Nina spoke up from behind them, rolling a can of megabots.

Hiro looked over his shoulder at her and glared. " I am not!"

Tadashi chuckled. Gogo walked up behind Nina along with Honey and nodded. " Yup, he's nervous."

" Exactly what I just said. Great minds think alike." Nina said and Gogo chuckled.

Hiro looks back to see Wasabi and Fred also behind them. " You have nothing to fear little fellow." Fred reassured him.

" He's so tense." Honey added.

Hiro shakes his head and rolls his eyes.  " No I'm not."

" Denying means that you're nervous." Nina speaks up.

" Relax, Hiro. Your tech is amazing! Tell him, Gogo." Honey reassured him and then looked at Gogo besides her. 

" Stop whining, woman up." Gogo simply said.

" I'm fine!" Hiro said, but to Nina it didn't sound like he was.

" What do you need little man?" Wasabi asked. " Deodorant, breath mint, fresh pair of underpants?"

Nina looks back at him weirdly as she lined the blue bin next to the others they brought. 

" Underpants?" Gogo asks as she shakes her head and lines up her bin next to Nina's. " You need serious help."

" Hey, I come prepared." Wasabi tells her.

" I haven't done laundry in six months. One pair lasts me four days. I go front, I go back, I go inside out, then I go front and back." Fred says as he sits on the stage and Wasabi gags.

" That's disgusting." Nina said, scrunching her nose up in disgust. 

" Wow, that is both disgusting and awesome. " Tadashi points at Fred as he walks back over with his brother from setting the bins in place. 

Nina shakes her head. " No, it's only disgusting."

Gogo looks over at Tadashi. " Yeah, don't encourage him."

" It's called ' Recycling'" Fred defended himself and Nina rolls her eyes.

Then over the speaker they heard Hiro's name which meant he was next. " Yeah, this is it!" Fred grins excitedly as he jumps off of the stage and walks over to where everyone was standing together.

" Okay, I guess I'm up." Hiro said.

" Hold on, hold on." Honey said and got her phone out.

" Everybody say Hiro!" Honey said. Everyone got together for the picture an Nina ended up between Hiro and Honey.

Once the picture was taken Honey touches Hiro's shoulder. " We love you Hiro, good luck!"

" Don't mess it up." Gogo tells him as she goes puts the bin in the right place along with Honey. 

" Break a leg little man!" Wasabi says doing the same as the girls as Fred fist bumps the air while putting the bin he had in its place and says, " Science! Yeah!" 

Now it was just Nina, Hiro and Tadashi. " Alright, bro. This is it." Tadashi goes to fist bump Hiro, but Hiro stares at the stage in front of them and Nina knew he was nervous.

Tadashi walked in front of his line of vision. " Alright, don't leave me hanging." he frowns, seeing the look on Hiro's face. " What's going on?"

" I really want to go here." Hiro quietly says as he glances at Nina and then at Tadashi. Tadashi smiled and put his hand on Hiro's shoulder. " Hey," he bends to Hiro's height so they're face to face. " You got this."

Nina nods in agreement. " Yeah, Hiro." she says and he looks over at her. " If they don't accept you, than they're crazy because you deserve to go here. You're one of the most talented people I know."

He looks at her with wide eyes, shocked that she thought of him like that and then smiled shyly. " Thanks."

Nina gives him a quick hug before he goes up stage and Hiro honestly wishes the hug was longer, but he knew he had to get on stage.

As Hiro goes up onto the stage, Nina and Hiro walk over to where their friends and Cass were standing in front of the stage.

Hiro hesitantly walk on the stage as he holds the microphone that was given to him. " Uh...hi." he nervously says to the small crowd. " My name is Hiro..." feedback of the mic blares throughout the room because of him holding the mic to close and he quickly moves it away, him along with everyone else winning at the liud noise.

" S-sorry." he stammers an apology.
" My name is Hiro Hamada and I've been working on something that I think is pretty cool." he goes to get something out of his back pocket, but then quickly adds, " I hope you like it."

He puts on the neural transmitter and the microbot. He holds the microbot to show everyone. " This is a microbot.

He starts to regret his decision of doing this as he looks into the small crowd, seeing one person leave, but as he looks at where his friends and family were, Tadashi looked at him and mouthed, ' breathe' and Nina gave him a reassuring smile with a thumbs up.

Hiro takes a deep breath and exhales, feeling somewhat less nervous than he was before. He then says, " It doesn't look like much, but when it links up with the rest of its pals..."

His voice trails off as microbots from all over the room move to where Hiro was. Nina looks around, grinning as everyone gasps, now paying attention to what was going on. She looks back at the stage to see all the microbots has linked together to form a rectangle.

Hiro smirks. "...things get a little more interesting." he finishes saying as the mcirobot he had in his hand magnets to the rest of the microbots.

Hiro points to what he was wearing on his head. " The microbots are controlled with this neural transmitter." he then takes it off and as he does that, the microbot rectangle callaspes and the crowd gasps.

Nina smiles as she notices more people walking over to see what was happening and she was proud of Hiro for doing this. Hiro puts the neural transmitter back on and the microbots build back up to a rectangle.

He shrugs his shoulders. " I think of what I want them to do..." he looks over at the microbots as they form a hand and wave at the crowd. " And they do it."

Cass gasps in awe and Nina chuckles as she waves back.

" The applications for this tech are limitless." Hiro starts to explain. He looks at the microbots.

" Construction." the microbots then form a building. Hiro looks at the crowd. " What used to take teams of people working by hand for months or years, " as he speaks he walks behind the mircobotic building that forms stairs he walks up. Seconds later the microbots move to the side  to reveal a tall silver and grey structure Hiro was standing on.  " can now be accomplished by one person."

Hiro grins at the crowd's excited faces. " And that's just the beginning."

" How about transportation?" Nina's eyes widened as Hiro goes to walk off of the structure and as some of the crowd gasps the microbots form beneath him and continue moving.

" Microbots can move anything, anywhere," Hiro continues to walk on the microbots like stairs around the crowd. " With ease." the microbots then go on top on the metal rods that were hanging from the ceiling, with Hito still on them it was as if they were sliding across it over the crowd.

Once Hiro moves to where his family and friends were standing, he high fives Tadashi and Nina, for that Nina had to jump to reach that height, but she didn't care 'cause her best friend was a genius and she was proud of him.

" If you can think it microbots can do it."

The microbots then move back to the stage and forms an esclator that Hiro walks down. Once he's on the stage he says, " The only limit is your imagination."

All the microbots form one big microbot and Hiro points to it.
" Microbots."

Nina cheers along with the crowd, yelling, " That's my best friend!" the same time Cass yelled and pointed ad Hiro, " That's my nephew!"

Nina chuckled as Cass shook some guy's arm that was next to her out of excitement. " Thay's my family. I love my family!"

Tadashi ran up to the stage as Hiro got off of it and Nina ran over as the boys did their handshake.

Nina punched his arm and he stared at her while rubbing his arm. " Ow! What was that for?"

" That's because you were doubting in yourself earlier for no reason because you were awesome up there." Nina tells him and he rolled his eyes even though there was a smile on his lips.

" Thanks." he says as the others run over to them. Nina chuckles as Honey picks Hiro up in a hug. " You did so great, Hiro!"

" Not bad." Gogo compliments.

Fred grins and did a explosion with his hands. " Yeah, you blew my mind!"

" They loved you. That was amazing!" Honey tells him as she let's go of him while Tadashi ruffles his hair.

" Yes."

They all look over to see Alistar Krei walk over with his assistant following him. " With some development, your tech could be revolutionary."

Hiro chuckles and shakes his dead in disbelief. " Alistar Krei."

" May I?" Krei asks.

Hiro hands him the microbot and Krei holds it in his hand as he takes a closer look at it. " Hmm. Extraordinary. I want your microbots at Krei Tech."

Hiro stares at him with wide eyes, he was shocked that Krei liked his microbots in the first place, but he was beyond shocked that Krei wanted his microbots in Krei Tech." Shut up."

" Mr. Krei is right."

They look over to see Robert Callaghan walk over. " Your microbitd is an inspired piece of tech."

" You can continue to develop them, or you can sell them to a man who's only guided by his own self-interest." Mr. Callaghan says.

Nina could already tell that Callaghan and Krei didn't get along. She knew this would be interesting.

Mr. Krei rolls his eyes. " Robert, I know how you feel about me, but that shouldn't affect.."

Nina looks over at Hiro seeing him staring at Mr. Callaghan and Mr. Krei with complete shock that they were basically fighting over his microbots. She had a feeling this would happen because Hiro's microbots were a great invention.

" This is your decision, Hiro." Mr. Callaghan interrupted Mr. Krei as he looked at Hiro who looked over to him. " But you should know Mr. Krei has cut corners and ignored sound science to get where he is."

Mr. Krei shakes his head. " That's just not true."

" I wouldn't trust Krei Tech with your microbots," Mr. Callaghan looks over at Mr, Krei with a glare. " or anything else."

Mr. Krei takes a deep breath before looking at Hiro. " Hiro, I'm offering you more money than any 14-year-old could imagine."

Nina and Tadashi share a look, both wondering what Hiro was going to do. Tadashi steps up behind Hiro and looks at his younger brother. Hiro stares at the ground for a moment before looking up and saying, " I appreciate the offer,  Mr. Krei, but they're not for sale."

" I thought you were smarter than that." Mr. Krei chuckles in disbelief. He pulls down the sleeve of his shirt, giving Mr. Callaghan a glare. " Robert." he says as Mr. Callaghan sent him an amused smile while Mr. Krei walks off.

Nina look over at Tadashi and they both realized something. " Mr. Krei." Tadashi called out and he turned around.

" You still have Hiro's microbot." Nina said while crossing her arms.

Mr. Krei fakes a laugh. " Oh. That's right." he takes the microbot out of his pocket and throws it to Hiro who catches it as Mr. Krei walks off with his assistant.

Hiro looks over at Tadashi and Nina with a thankful smile. Nina grins as Mr. Callaghan hands Hiro a letter." I look forward to seeing you in class."
