Two shadows were keeping stand watching the Patterson Bank, their binoculars trained on the entrance of the bank, showing them who was entering or leaving the building.

"How much time do we have to spend like this, constantly keeping the watch?" the smaller of both the shadows asked.

"I don't know, maybe till the thief arrived" the bigger one replied sarcastically.

"Seriously Andrea we don't even know if the thief will be targeting this bank or not," Jade said.

"We took the case, Jade, so stop complaining now and do your work"

Andrea has taken Jade and started her training after their meeting on the mountain. She didn't know who her master was but she didn't like the idea of leaving a small girl alone in the wild of the Blackburn.

So here she was. From there they had gone to her quarter, which was their base. When Jade had learned that Andrea was a police officer and that she too will be one now, her first reaction was of shock. She soon accepted this and Andrea started her training.

Now looking at her she was proud of her decision, she smiled at the thought.

"Ok, take some rest, I will continue the watch"

Jade agreed getting up and gave the binoculars to her. Now that she was free after switching places Andrea saw that she had again taken out the gear and was fiddling with it.

Another reason why she had taken her was the gear, before leaving she had gone to the wooden house and came out with that. The silver disc box along with the gear.

The disc box was from her time, so what was it doing here? When she asked her from where she got that, she said that this was given to her by Master Hïuè, he had told me to keep this with me.

When she had asked her what does this machine do, Jade had no idea what it did, so she had told her about the machine power and showed her own gear.

Andrea had then started training her in using the gear, at first Jade found it amazing but when the difficulty started increasing she became serious and focused. It has now been one month from when they had started training, though Jade was exceptionally well at using her gear, Andrea knew that the silver gear offered more than that.

Now sitting here seeing her fiddling the old question again rose, who is she?

Jade caught her staring and asked "What? Is there something on my face" she said wiping her face with the back of her palm.

Andrea shook her head and stood up "let's go and get something to eat, I know you are bored"

They got down from the building and went to the Mc Donald a block away.

Sitting on the table Andrea asked her "what will you take Jade?"

"I will take my usual order, Andrea" Jade replied, who was sitting on the opposite table.

"You should try something new, always ordering the same thing will bore you"

"I won't ever get bored with burgers, they are the best thing I have ever eaten," she said with a dreamy look on her face.

She had this look from the first time Andrea had taken her to a stall and bought her a burger and after that whenever they dine out she ordered burgers.

Andrea sighed and going to the counter order a burger for Jade and a wrap for herself at the counter.

"Will you take anything for the drinks ma'am?" the boy at the counter asked.

"I will take a cup of coffee and what about you Jade," she asked Jade who had come following her.

"I will take a glass of mountain dew," she said with the same dreamy look. The other thing she liked was mountain dew who she thought were the dews from the leaf of the mountain and were the best thing for her who has lived her life in the mountains.

Andrea said this to the boy at the counter and when their order came she took it and they went to their table.

When they were seated Jade took her burger and started devouring it with big bites and when she was done she drained the glass in three gulps.

Andrea smiled at this "You should eat slowly or you will choke on the food Jade"

"No I won't choke, you know that. can I have one more burger Andrea"

"Ok, go and order it. Here you go," she said giving her money for the burger.

Jade took the money and went to the counter after some time she came back with the burger and started devouring it.

"Jade please eat slowly, you will choke" Andrea warned her.

"I won't cho-" Jade coughed loudly as she choked on the burger.

Quickly Andrea took a bottle of water and gave it to her "drink" she ordered.

Jade drank and then sat down finally relieved, her face was pale from coughing.

"I told you not to eat fast but you never listen"

"Sorry, Andrea I will listen to you the next time you warn me"

"you'd better, do you feel good" Andrea asked concerned

"Yeah I am alright now"

Andrea finished her wrap and coffee and then they left, by the time they were on streets, the color had returned on Jade's face.

They made their way towards the bank to announce their departure for the day when they saw a young man enter the bank.

Jade noticed him and was immediately suspicious of the guy, she turned on her gear to scan if anyone was using disc power in the vicinity, the light on the gear turned red confirming her suspicion.

"I think we finally found our thief," she said to Andrea, who nodded and they started running towards the bank.
