It seemed Kara was having a difficult day today plus she's had lots of stress put on her recently during the week, especially at Cat-Co, Snapper keeps ranting about her for being late, not getting reports in when it's due and so on.

She's just dealt with escaped convicts in a high speed chase driving a truck downtown causing a ruckus.

Before that, she had to deal with a crime organisation spreading crime throughout the city and she fought against an escaped Alien.

It had only been weeks since the whole World Killer situation was dealt with, crime skyrocketed when the World Killers were no more.

What also was the issue of everything going back to normal was the whole shakeup of her boyfriend Mon-El being married to another woman, but during that time when he came back, she started to fall in love with you, her Earth best friend, since you've been there for her since she was in a dark time.

Kara really needed a break, since there was no crime at the moment, she decided to drop by the DEO and hang around for a while until crime would be found again.

It had only been a few hours since and Kara decided to leave and go back to hers, flying in through her opened side window to see you sleeping on the couch with no blanket on.

She smiled lightly, seeing how peaceful you were sleeping on the couch, she thought it was cute the way you sleep.

She walks over to you and kneels down to plant a kiss on your cheek, which wakes you up after she pulls back.

"hey sleepyhead" she says softly.

"hey Kar, what time is it?" you asked, speaking in a low voice since you woke up.

"it's 5 minutes to 4 I think?" she looked for her phone "oh nevermind, it's half past 4" she corrected herself.

"hmm" you hummed in response, yawning soon after.

"you alright?" you noticed something wrong with Kara, she looked a bit let down.

"yeah, It's been stressful for me lately, that's all" she said with a saddened frown, you sat up and laid your back against the couch.

"c'mere" you opened your arms for her to cuddle into you, she took the hint and climbed on you, resting her head on your chest, your hands were on her cape which rested when she laid on top of you.

Her arms embraced around you, she felt more better having you as her teddy bear.

"I know how to cure that stress for you... A mood lifter, which is me" you looked down at her as her blue comets stare back at you lovingly, her bright smile then appeared on her face, the same smile she always gave you when you were around her.

"this is why I love you" she continues to stare at you which makes you plant a kiss on her forehead, you push a strand of blonde hair behind her ear afterwards.

"I'm guessing you came back due to no crime being reported?" you asked wondering why she came back early which never happens.

"yeah, but I also came back because I wanted to see you, I'm just stressed at the moment and you take the stress away from me" she rested her head on your chest again as you slowly drive a finger through her hair.

"hmm yeah, I could tell"

"I just need a mood lifter, which is you, what I don't understand is... Why do you love me so much? Mean we were best friends and all but.... Why me? There's other girls out there" what she said hit your heart a little.

"don't say that Kara".

"I just want to know, that's all"

You sigh quietly before opening your mouth again.

"the reason I like you is because you've been there for me and I've been there for you, please don't think that you aren't good enough for me, because you are good enough for me, I love everything about you, you're strong, brave, sweet, funny, cute and smart, also very hot" you smiled at the end, a bright red blush spreaded across Kara's face hearing the last thing you said.

"is that why you like me?" she sounded surprised.

"yeah, it's why I like you, you're a whole lot different than any other girls I've even with, they just broke my heart by cheating on me or whatever, you on the other hand are different, you hold a special place in my heart, protected by steel, because you are the Girl of Steel" you smiled as she looked at you with a weak smile, soon turning bright.

She sat up a little to the point where her face was at your level, she pulled herself in for a kiss on the lips, your left hand was on her rosie right cheek, melting into her kiss as your eyes were both closed along with hers.

The kiss was then broke, you both open your eyes and smile deeply at each other lovingly.

"I love you Y/N/N" Kara breathes out.

"I love you too Supergirl" you say back before going back at it again with the kissing, being her mood lifter...
