(Sequal to Hurt and Exiled)

It had been weeks since you were confronted by Kara who you thought was dead after feeling her die thanks to Reign.

You had nightmares after the confrontation and could barely sleep, not without thoughts running through your mind.

You had moved from Yamantau all the way back to America, but in a different state, trying to start fresh and continue on from there.

You thought it was too late to go back to National City, since everything that went down didn't end well... Especially for you.

You had bought an apartment in Chicago since you needed a place to live, luckily your weaponry was with you, just in case if anyone either tries to break in or cause you any harm in the city.

For a few weeks, everything went well, but the nightmares continued, it wasn't gonna stop anytime soon.

The nightmares were severe, it showed all your friends turning against you, some even showed them getting killed, you even had one where Kara was fighting Reign in different situations but the same outcome, Reign wins and Kara loses and dies.

You once shouted her name waking up from the nightmare, only for you to realise it happened again, it was tiring.

You had a picture of her and you at bedside, two best friends who have been there for each other since meeting for the first time.

You still had PTSD about the war for your planet, you had nightmares about those too, remembering the names of those that fell during the war.

You wondered if there was any survivors taking refuge among the stars.

You thought about it while sitting on the couch with the TV on, watching your favourite TV show.

You had just finished your dinner which was a Chinese, you had put that dishes away by the time you started to watch a new episode.

Just as you sat back down on the couch with the blanket over you, a light knock was then heard on the door.

You sighed and got up to answer the door, you thought it was another parcel being delivered to your for the neighbour but... It wasn't.

It was her... She had found you again... Kara Danvers, the girl you felt die by the hands of Reign.

"Kara?" you said dumbfounded, you weren't expecting to see her again.

"hey can we talk?" she had bags under her eyes.

You thought about it for a moment, despite you being surprised to see her, you weren't in the mood still.

"I'm sorry, I can't right now".

You went to shut the door but something got in the way, blocking the door, Kara had put her foot between the door frame.

"Kara move your foot" you were growing annoyed.

"Y/N, please, I just want to speak to you, I've missed you so much, please, just let me in. I'm not gonna shout at you for your actions, threaten you, just... Please let me in".

You sighed once more, you were hesitant, deep down you wanted to see her again, you missed seeing her.

"ok, let's talk".

You opened the door and scooted out the way to let her walk through, she was amazed by how neat your apartment was, but that wasn't her main concern why she was here, she only wanted to talk, that was it.

You both had sit down to talk, she was about to talk before you interrupted her.

"I'm sorry" Kara was about to open her mouth but closed it straight after.

"I'm sorry for being an ass, I shouldn't have snapped at you and aimed my own blaster at you, telling you to leave me, a mistake I regret making" you look down with guilt, only for Kara to place her hand on yours, grabbing your attention immediately.

"it's ok... I know you didn't mean to do any of that, I was just upset because I thought I... Lost you" she croaked at the end, choking on her words as her eyes started to water.

You immediately pulled her in for a hug, her head burrows into your shoulder as she quietly sobs.

"I'm so sorry Kara... If I could do anything to fix this, I would".

She pulls back to look at you, tears falling down her face which hurt you seeing her cry, you wipe her tears and comfort her.

She calms down after a few minutes of you two hugging, she got comfortable in the blanket, resting on top of you with her head on your torso, watching your favourite TV show with you.

"oh that reminds me, Sam is alive".

"what?" you were confused, you killed Reign and Sam at the same time, "how is she alive?" was your question.

"Reign was revived by the World Killer Cultists and Sam had seemed to be able to control Reign long for us to keep her contained, she's recovering the now since we defeated the World Killers for good"

You hum in response, no words to explain, you were just confused.

"wait, what are World Killers? Do they destroy worlds or?"

"yeah basically, Reign was one of them, 2 others were found, Purity and Pestilence and by the way, Reign was angry that you killed her, she wanted to find where you were and kill you".

"what about Sam? Does Ruby knew I killed her mother?"

"no, nor does Sam know you killed her, we kept it to ourselves".

"good... Good".

You were a bit anxious over something, you wanted to know if Kara was with Mon-El again, since the two reunited with a twist, Mon-El was married to another woman, Imra Ardeen aka Saturn Girl.

"you alright? Is there anything else you want to say?" Kara questions.

"yeah, I'm alright... But, I have something to ask".

She gets off you and sits back up on the couch, blanket still pulled over between you two.

"are you and Mon-El... Back together?"

She was a bit dumbfounded to hear you ask that type of question, you never really ask anyone about relationships.

"uh no... Why do you ask?" her eyebrow raises up.

"just asking since y'know? You know what, nevermind".

She brushed it off and kept watching the TV, she knew something was up and you wanted to tell her so badly about everything.

"I know something is up, are you sure there isn't anything else you want to tell me or ask?"

You sigh with a sad frown, and look at her.

"Kara, ever since we uh, had that argument at Mount Yamantau, when I aimed my blaster at you, I couldn't forgive myself for threatening you, I felt like shit when I did that, seeing you upset really hurts me y'know? When you're sad, I'm sad, when you're happy, I'm happy, I felt you die when Reign badly beat you up, it was a part of my heart that just shattered... like glass, a special type of glass" you pause for a moment to catch your breath while looking into her eyes which stared back at you, "I started having nightmares about it, about the argument, about all of you turning against me, seeing you all die and about my time in the war on my planet, I still carry the scars of that war, this one on my face was from a momma bear who almost took my eye out" you point to the scar on your face just below your eye, the point is... I... I really, like you".

You blush at the end, looking away in embarrassment, finally admitting your true feelings to Kara which in response, she kissed your cheek, making you blush more red.

"you're not the only one who had bad dreams, and went through hell, the World Killer situation was draining me a lot, I also happened to find out my biological mom Alura Zor-El is alive and well on Argo which was a city on Krypton I was born in".

"wow... That's pretty shocking, glad you still have family".

"yeah I'm sorry... Am I saying too much?" she asked worried if she hurt your feelings.

"no no, your good, I just miss home, I always wonder if my allies are taking refuge among the stars, still fighting the war I was separated from when I landed here on Earth two years ago".

"maybe they are, one day you'll find them, and I'll be with you".

She graps your hand and holds it, looking at you with heart eyes.

The two of you drew closer until your lips connected, closing both eyes in sync.

Pulling back for air and opening at the same time made you two smile and chuckle lightly.

"can you stay with me tonight? I want to wake up beside you" you whisper to Kara, making her smile.

"yes, same here, and tomorrow, will you come back to National City with me?"

"yes... Its time I go back to National City" you immediately nod without any second thoughts.

This made her smile, she pulls you in for a kiss on the lips, you two would then get up and head to bed, snuggling into each other as her hand was on your topless chest.

You would have a good night sleep for once...
